I'm a coffee snob! How could I not be having come of age in Seattle during a time when Starbucks had yet to leave the west coast? This place knows coffee! I started with a double shot of straight espresso. This is always my first test for a coffee shop. I was immediately impressed because they knew to serve it with sparkling mineral water. In my experience, only the best coffee houses know to do this. Sure enough, the espresso was full bodied, fresh, and flavorful. Surprised by all of the positive reviews for this place... I've heard there aren't many options for coffee around so maybe it's by default? Ordered the iced coffee which was incredibly bitter... I order ice coffee all the time and never have this problem. I added a little cream to soften the taste, which helped. My boyfriend got the brown sugar latte and liked it, hence the 2 stars. They initially messed up our drink order but instead of refunding any money, they gave us a 2nd iced coffee for free. Except we're two ppl with a dog getting takeout so managing the three drinks with everything else wasn't easy and we ended up dumping the extra drink. We also ordered food. We had looked at the menu ahead of time on yelp and google and picked out what we wanted. Turns out the menu they have posted online is out of date so we needed to pick other options rather quickly in line. I don't eat pork so didn't have many options that didn't include bacon and I ended up getting an egg and cheese on croissant. The food came out out pretty quickly, esp for a Saturday morning, but my first thought is that the croissant is burnt on top, and second thought is how skimpy the sandwich is... literally one fried egg with a half slice of cheddar... I ended up leaving half the croissant behind because it was so dry. Bf got the same sandwich with bacon and the meat addition helped but he was pretty surprised by how small it was. Unfortunately, I can't recommend Amity for coffee or food. Next time, we'll opt for the free continental breakfast at our hotel and be a lot happier. read more

Came here for a quick breakfast. The menu isn't huge, but everything looked delicious. We got avocado toast and a breakfast sandwich on a croissant. Heard about this new coffee shop that just opened in November and new I had to give it a go and wow am I glad i need! The place They did a great job it has a modern clean look to it. I love it simple yet well done. Also very clean inside including bathrooms. The staff They were nothing short of great they went over the different blends they had in detail and were very kind. The coffee I was surprised at how well amazing the coffee was. If your like me and love a latte that has great balance of sweetness with coffee you will love this place! I have had the vanilla and mocha latte both were amazing! Most places are way to much syrup not here both their flavors are made in house homemade! Every drink is made with attention to detail. They even rotate great roasters from across the country. I saw Crema this week which I recognized from my trip to Nashville last month. Verdict I consider myself a coffee snob and have been around the country and this place stacked up against any I have been. Decor is amazing - hardwood floors, white herringbone tile, leather high back chairs, black hex tile the bathrooms, marble top side tables, bookshelves from West Elm. They carry Pittsford Dairy milk (wooooo!) and pastries from The Flour Shop. Pricing is consistent with most third-wave coffee places so no surprises there, with one major exception. I was charged an extra DOLLAR to make my mocha iced. That seems utterly ridiculous - upcharges for non-dairy milk I get, but ICE?!? Really?!? Ice is so expensive in Penn Yan it requires an extra $1?? (In fairness it does say this on the board after further inspection, but it still seems insane). read more

I was just in town for a quick visit and much in need of a coffee. The vibe of this whole place is very relaxed and lovely. I tried the Lavender Iced Latte and the Honey & Cinnamon Iced latte. The Honey & Cinnamon was spot on and I loved the little bits of honey and cinnamon I got in each sip. The lavender was also good, but I wish there was a *bit* more lavender flavor. Amity Coffee Co. is wonderful. My friend, Maisie, works there and got me hooked on the place. I will never buy coffee from Dunkin Donuts again after trying their coffee. I always get an iced latte with oat milk and it is truly delicious. Their baked oatmeal is also amazing. The place is adorable, clean, comfortable, and the staff is always so pleasant to be around. The location is nice, right off the street with convenient​ parking in the back. This place is a big city level coffee shop, not your average small town coffee shop, and it's reasonably priced for how wonderful their coffee tastes. Amity is probably​ the best, the ​most modern, and cleanest place there is in Penn Yan, NY! It is my favorite place to hang out in Penn Yan and I hope it stays open forever!
