While being a new shop to down town Penn Yan Publick Coffee Bar is by far my favorite coffee place in the local area. The atmosphere is cozy with soft modern Edison bulb lighting, big comfy leather chairs and nice tables to sit at while working. The coffee options are incredible, numerous drinks available and rotating roasters so your coffee palate never gets bored. I myself am a huge fan of pour over coffee and this place truly does a top notch job. The shop also offers locally made pastries to accompany your coffee, which have been just as delicious as the joe. Also if your not so much in the mood for coffee, the shop also hosts a number of Finger Lakes wine and craft beer, which you can never go wrong with. I'm sad that I was only able to visit Publick once while vacationing on Seneca Lake. This is a serious "fourth wave" operation. I was only able to get the cold brew (I didn't have time for anything else, alas), but it was excellent. I like that they feature a rotating "guest" roaster, and I love that Gimme! is close by in Ithaca, it's the house bean at Publick. Wine, cider, and beer are also available. When I visited, Pommeau was also an option, and though I didn't get any, it did remind me to order some from South Hill Cider. It's in the mail! If ever I'm back in Penn Yan, I would absolutely come back to Publick. read more

I stopped at this newly reopened amazing coffee shop Amity this morning,, on my way to work as I wanted something tasty to eat for breakfast on my way to work and so I looked at their menu and everything looks amazing so I got the thing that was on top of their menu and it was incredible it was so good!!!! so I'll probably go down there whole menu starting from the top to the bottom and they also have the best coffee drinks and even if you just stop for a black coffee it is worth your stop this is an amazing coffee shop thank you Lindsey you you are doing an amazing job read more

The tea is superb and organic! The baked items in the case are delicious and fresh and often offer something just a little out of the norm. The staff is friendly and helpful!! I never go to Penn Yan without stopping at Amity! We are so fortunate to have an awesome tea/coffee shop! read more

Amity Coffee is a pleasant little surprise for Penn Yan. Visited a friend there with our 4 children. It's a gorgeous place! Aesthetically pleasing & minimally decorated. So I've. I ordered the Pear, Ricotta & honey toast & it was delicious! It's a slice of toast with creamy ricotta cheese, sliced pears, drizzled with honey & topped with chopped pecans. Pairs well with a Stoltzfus latte (vanilla maple latte). It's not on the menu, but ask for it. It's pretty delicious. I also ordered a waffle for my 2 year old daughter. She loved it! My husband and I were staying in Hammondsport and drove to this coffee spot because we were craving something other than a pot of coffee. Just visited for the first time here, it is a lovely spot to drink really nice espresso. Their drinks are amazing and the aesthetic is really cozy and stylish. You can drink coffee, beer or wine here with some small snack options. It really has a big city feel. I drove 30 minutes to get here and it was well worth it. They have newspapers available for reading in house as well, which is my favorite addition to a coffee spot. read more

Great coffee, food, and service. The yogurt parfait was light but filling and the iced chai was perfect on a hot summer day.

I stopped in on Sunday morning before our ride home from the Finger Lakes and was able to get my dark roast coffee in record fashion. By the time I was out the door and sipping on my coffee, I'd have still been waiting in line at Dunkin'. Not to mention, this coffee was much better tasting! Next time I'm in the area, I'll be back.
