As a party of two we were sat around 4pm. It was the tail end of a rush and we were sat and given drinks quickly. However it was 30 mins before we were helped by a server. After another 20 mins we finally received the 6ct garlic knots we ordered and one salad. We didn't receive the 2nd salad until much later. It took just over an hour from start to finish to receive our pasta entrees. By that point we'd decided to take our food to go. We'd driven 2 hours to celebrate a birthday and it was a major disappointment. It looked as though there was one server working the whole floor. While we were given an excuse about being busy due to TikTok it did very little appease us. Keep in mind there were two tables we'd noticed that were sat and served after before we got our entrees. It doesn't help at all that we two were the only notable WOC in the entire store. my bf and i went there today 11/23/24 mind you it wasn't so busy yet as we got there before noon we got sat down and at least 3 tables who were sat after us got served before us. +25min went by and we still didn't get served The table next to us was wiped down and someone was sat there and not even 5min later they still got served before us we decided to get take out instead and the ppl who were sat next to us wanted to sit at the table we were at after we left that is when the server started asking what had happened to the couple sitting there and another worker said "idk they just got up and left" the girl who gave us our drinks then started laughing... little did they know we were still in the building. I was in the area and had been hearing great things about amici so I stopped in! Had a hard time choosing what to get, so we got a few things. We got a NY style cheese pizza, 2 slices of the Sicilian style slices with fresh mozzarella, and the Sicilian garlic bread. I wouldn't consider the garlic bread Sicilian style, it was just made with a baguette, it was very good though. The Sicilian slices were good but I wouldn't get the extra cheese next time. The ny pizza was ok. It had a distinctive taste that I can't describe but it just wasn't my cup of tea. Like maybe I didn't like a seasoning they used or something. Food was good quality, just not my fave! Also it took a really long time for them to prepare it. By the time I got there they said about 8 more minutes and it was more like 20. We always used to be able to count on this place because for a long while even after they changed management and the name, the recipes seemed to remain the same. Apparently, that's no longer the case. The eggplant parm wasn't bad, by any means, but is was somewhat bizarrely served UNDER the heap of pasta, and just not nearly as amazing as it was under the other name. I also ordered a calzone. It was chock full of mozzarella with a little bit of ricotta, and almost NONE of the other ingredients I ordered (see photo). When you order spinach and meatball, you'd expect to actually get a calzone stuffed with spinach and meatballs. I had to literally dig through the thing to find either. Combine that with them telling me the food would be ready in 25 minutes, so I walked in at 20 minutes and the food was sitting there, and pretty much ice cold by the time I drove the 6 blocks home. My husband and I tried amici for the first time tonight after seeing them on tik tok for months! We ordered a little bit of everything and let me just say each bite kept getting better. My husband was blown away with the buffalo chicken pizza and said it's the best pizza he has ever had. I loved everything we got. The quality in ingredients was evident. The pizza dough was fresh and everything tasted as good as it looked. You could tell that everything was made with care and attention to detail. I've seen TikTok's on this place for over a year and all the food looked delicious so I was super excited to try it out. We got there around lunchtime and it was about a 30 minute wait which wasn't bad and expected. We did not receive a server for about 5 minutes after we were sat and the table next to us which had just sat down got attended to before us. We ordered the Shirley temples which were delicious. We then ordered the fried raviolis as an appetizer but didn't come out to us until AFTER the dessert was given to us! We got the Vodka pizza which tasted like a plain cheese pizza with no vodka sauce flavor. The red and white slice which was 90% cheese. The blue raspberry Italian ice was decent but had a slight chemical aftertaste. We had nobody check on us to make sure the food was good other than them taking our order or bringing the food/check. The prices are pretty decent for what you are receiving. This place is VERY overhyped and I will not be coming back! read more

After a FB conversation about NY pizza, i had to see what this amici pizza was all about. 2 slices with mushrooms and a coke please. To my dismay @ 3:30 pm ....the slices were from an old pie and they were dry, very small and lacked any wow factor! Now, i already have a go to pizza slice place but i'm always open to good pizza but consistancy is important. To be fair....the guy after me got fresh slices that looked delicious and another friend raved about how NY their slices were. Not sure if i'll be back...... the young kid behind the counter need not deal with a disappointed NYer.... AHHHHHH-MAZINGGGGG!!! So I came across a TikTok of the owner of Amici that said "Open up with me" and I seen the pizza and the pizza looked great! We've been looking for a good quality pizza with flavor! We were burnt out on Pizza Hut and Dominoes. My husband came home from work and wanted pizza but we were trying to figure out where to get pizza BUT then I remembered the TikTok i had seen and showed my husband and he agreed we should place an order and it was not far of a drive from us! So we placed a phone order. We ordered a large Bianco Pizza and added sausage, one Buffalo chicken pizza slice, one Sicilian pizza slice and added pepperoni , 6 piece of Hot Buffalo wings and a 6 piece of mozzarella sticks which totaled to about $50. The pizza slices are huge!!. Amici has wonderful and flavorful pizza!! I'm so glad I came across their TikTok! We definitely found a new pizza spot!! I like getting pies from this place because it's down the street from where I live. Evidently, they don't want to do to-go orders. Now, I understand not doing online orders. Or orders by phone. But if I walk in to your pizza shop during business hours to get one pizza and you turn me away, that sours my experience and loses you three stars. I've worked in multiple pizza restaurants in my life, and it's frankly astonishing that they'd close down for all orders except their dining room. I need a table here to eat your food? Had dinner there this evening. It wasn't too bad but then again it wasn't great. I had eaten Pizza there once before and it was pretty good. I had chicken parmigiana and the chicken was good. The bowtie pasta was barely warm so that was a bummer. The wife had eggplant parmigiana and brought most of it home. Overall, I'd stick with the pizza. It was my husband's and I first time at Amici Pizza tonight. We walked in they were extremely busy but we found a spot and our drink order was taken quickly. We ended up ordering 12 Wings Medium and a small Baciagaloop. Both items were amazing. The wings were crispy and had great a perfectly spicy Buffalo sauce. As a past pizza general manager when I say this was probably the best pie I have had in a long time I mean it. It came to us and my husband got me a slice, he did warn me it was hot but the first bite of a super fresh pie can't be beat. This pizza is the old school cup pepperoni, slice sausage, white onion, and fresh jalapeños. Every bite you could taste every ingredient. The quality of the cheese and dough is fantastic. On the way home my husband and I both agreed that this is our new weekly pizza date. Disappointed. To start, we got seated after only waiting a few minutes, great, but then everyone who sat after us got greeted immediately and had us wait 10 minutes before getting service. No problem, you're busy and I'm a server too, I get it. She comes over and we order everything at once. First comes our fries, which frankly we only got because they looked extremely good in the viral video. Crispy and thin fries were what I was expecting but instead got raw steak fries that definitely needed a few more minutes in the fryer. No big deal, we're now waiting for our garlic knots to come which I was super excited about. 30 minutes roll by, our drinks are down to the ice, and the pizza comes. We asked politely if the garlic knots were still coming as we waited already 30 minutes for an appetizer that the tables around us already got. She said oh they're on there way. Ok cool. We finish our pizza (the pizza would have been a 10/10 if it wasn't for the burnt chewy crust) and now we're just waiting for garlic knots and dessert, which I ordered after we got the pizza since I knew that would probably be a long wait too. We sat there enjoying some ice when now more tables are getting their garlic knots. We stopped our server another time asking if we would get those. Once again it's on it way. She doesn't come back around for another 20 minutes and says the dessert is almost done. Thanks but shouldn't we have our garlic knots by now? We asked a total of 4 times and even said we'll just take it in a Togo box since she already charged my card with the garlic knots on them. She said okay we'll put them in a box for you, the dessert comes, and she tells us to have a great day. Once again, I paid for garlic knots and we still haven't gotten them after an hour and 20 minutes of waiting. We went to the manager who was able to take it off our bill, our server was apologetic but if you forgot to ring it in after the 4 times of needed to be reminded, that's not okay? I personally would be stressing the kitchen out saying I forgot to ring in a tables food and we need to get it out quick. But whatever we took the loss, with an extremely memorable experience. We took our dessert home since now we just want to get out of there. The zeppolis are still extremely hot, yay. Rock hard. Totally overcooked, it wasn't even airy on the inside. So I'm not sure if they just hired completely new staff that day who don't know what they're doing or what but everything from the service to the food was horrible. I found this place from going viral on Tik Tok/Instagram and what a disappointment. When we arrived we were quoted a 1.5-2 hour wait, which is fine we were aware that there would be a long wait due to this place going viral. Now I will say this now in the review, this place is not worth the 2-3 hour wait. So not waste your time waiting - I promise as a fellow New Yorker there are better places in the area. We ordered 4 different appetizers - mozzarella sticks, wings, stuff mushrooms and garlic rolls we also ordered two different large pizzas. I will say the stuff mushrooms and wings were great, but those were the only items that were tasty. The mozzarella sticks didn't have that cheesy stretch and the rolls were a complete disappointment since they weren't warm and tasted like they were sitting out for a while before being brought to our table. Now lastly, the pizzas - now what a complete disaster/disappointment. First pie came out, and that pizza was so floppy, no one from our table wanted a second slice. On barstools for a pizza rating that would have FAILED because of the flop, no hold whatsoever. The second pie was brought out and was completely burnt. The bottom of the pizza was completely black, not good. I will say the staff were very nice and they were great given how busy they were, but given how they were so busy the service felt very slow. Additionally everything they offered on their menu seemed to be fair priced, that is why I give this review 2 stars.
