Service has gone down over our last few visits. Stopped by about 15 minutes before closing one night last week and were turned down from having dinner, chairs were already up and the doors weren't even locked. We won't be back. read more

I always enjoy a trip to Amici's. The staff is friendly and courteous but the food is the star of the show. Pizza, wings, sandwiches, and salads, you can't go wrong with any of them. Had a long drive from Charlotte this evening. Decided not to cook so I ordered one of Amici Famous cheeseburgers. I got to tell you it looked great Until I took a bite The spoiled taste and smell hit my nose immediately. Hey we all have bad experience sometimes right? So I called them up they said come in and we will exchange it for you, We are so sorry. So I ordered the chicken Parmesan, Got home and opened it up and it was Burnt not over cooked but burnt. Wow two in one night, I don't usually do reviews this is unbelievable. Did not mind the burnt chicken Parmesan for say but spoiled burger meat that's So hideous. Definitely won't see my face again. read more

Tomato bisque was fantastic. Grilled chicken sandwich was disappointing, but boneless wings were good. Bathrooms we're kind of grimy.

Extremely slow service. Over an hour wait on food when I arrived on a Sunday that didn't appear to be busy. It was also 2 in the afternoon.

The food here is excellent! We love the pizzas, salads and sandwiches. They have excellent homemade key lime pie. The bar is nice and always slightly crowded. This is a favorite restaurant for the local people that live in Madison! If you are visiting from out of town as a tourist, this is a great restaurant choice for you. Our favorite fine dining restaurant is "THE LINGER LONGER STEAKHOUSE"-- it is located 15 miles from Madison, Ga-- the drive is a short drive and scenic and beautiful! It is a RITZ CARLTON AND ALL RITZ CARLTONS ARE RECOGNIZED ALL OVER THE WORLD FOR THEIR EXQUISITE FINE DINING RESTAURANTS! They have a website where you can read the days and hours that they are open, we suggest making a reservation, you can dress casually. The website also lists their menu-- it is huge and outstanding! It has wet and also dry aged steaks, fresh seafood , great fancy salads and exquisite desserts! And much, much more on the menu! The grounds, landscape and restaurant are beautiful and elegant! There is not a fine dining restaurant in Madison,Ga that is anything like this one!!!! We do not think there is really a fine dining restaurant in Madison,Ga. It is beautiful inside and so are the grounds and is located on the beautiful LAKE OCONEE! They pay attention to every detail and it is EXCEPTIONAL AND OUTSTANDING! They also have private parking. The restaurant does not discriminate and they treat all of their guests with kindness and respect. This restaurant is perfect for a romantic evening with your sweetheart! I'm a local to Madison and have enjoyed Amicis for many years. The atmosphere can get a little loud at times, but they have great outdoor seating on the square where it's more quite. Personally I generally get the fried buffalo chicken sub, but I also really enjoy their pizza. Service is always very friendly and generally very good. read more

The best pizza East of Naples Italy and South of Brooklyn NY

Went on a Friday night. The place was full. First the good. The food was great. Just had wings and the woodsman pizza, but these were great. Food came out in a good time for a packed restaurant. The new location is awesome. Now the front of house was a different story. When I arrived the host took my cell phone number and said they would text me when my table was ready. About 20 min later they are calling out names. Not sure why you took my cell number, but ok. Good thing I stayed near the hostess stand or I would have lost my table. When seated the the server took our drink order and disappeared for about 10 min. When she came back we ordered food and asked for straws. 15 min later no straws and no server. I had to get my own straws so problem solved. When the food arrived the food runner filled our empty drinks. Great job from the back of house. We never saw our server again. Once we were done I had to go find my server for the check. Not a great experience. Now the host stand had 3 people and they had a staff member opening the door for customers when they arrived and left. Nice touch, but this staff member could have been better used on the floor. They were very short staffed on the server side. Our server had way too many tables. I have been to the Macon location and the Macon store is great. You need more servers on a Friday night and utilize the staff you have better. Great food, but lousy service. Needs some work. read more

Good food and GREAT service. We stopped in this evening to grab some dinner as we headed back to Covington. Being in the service business, the wife and I are very aware of how people should be treated. Lauren was awesome! She was spot on. When we would think to ask for something, she beat us to the punch and was one step ahead of our needs EVERY time. We never even had to ask! We have eaten at other Amici restaurants and this one beats all. Highly recommend this one. Oh, and ask for Lauren! read more

Called in on a Saturday night for take out around 8:30 knowing that they closed at 10 and the young lady on the phone told me they were no longer taking to go orders because they were closed. I rode down there and there were open for another 2 hours! read more

Restaurant was really warm. Wine list is limited to type "merlot, pinot noir, etc" (not brand) and their beer selection had been decimated, leaving very little selection. I had the large antipasto salad. House dressing was really tasty, but about one third of the salad was that bitter, yellow, inside the head or brown edged iceberg lettuce. If you knew more about this place, you wouldn't like it. The pizza is decent, but not great and honestly if there was another solid pizzeria chain or local that did good business- like Mellow or Little Italy- it wouldn't and probably couldn't survive. Someone, needs to buy this place and turn it around. There certainly are plenty of people in Madison with the money to do just that. read more

I judge a good restaurant by being CONSISTENTLY GOOD, EVERY TIME I go there to eat. Amici's is one of those places that are rare to find and they have remained consistent with the good quality food they prepare. You have to try their HONEY, HOT, GARLIC chicken wings. Now it is very important that you order them EXACTLY like I just described. These wings are OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!! I am not a chicken wing fan, but these are truly succulent pieces of heaven on earth. These are MEATY wings, not the little wings you may be used to. The people that work there are also fantastic. The cook actually comes out and talks with you. You can tell he loves what he is doing and DOES IT WELL. I drive almost 2 hours round trip to get these wings, because they are just that good. I have tried their salads and calzones. They were also excellent, but you have to try the HONEY, HOT, GARLIC chicken wings. The ABSOLUTE BEST WINGS you will ever eat. read more

This place, to say the least, is f**king horrible. The restaurant is always warm, the service is abysmal, the food is obviously all bagged even though the menu says fresh (especially the soup). I'm a chef and I can tell the difference in frozen, bagged precut produce and whatever they are trying to claim on their menu. This establishment used to provide good food but now I can obviously tell they are cutting corners (such as their dough which tastes like pretzel dough). Their health score is below average and from what I can see in the back their kitchen is filthy. Now let's talk about the service. The servers at my restaurant would be fired for how they act, just a bunch of kids who are poorly trained and won't help you but will go back into the waiters section and laugh and joke and then pass you by and forget your orders even though you can hear the kitchen staff calling for them constantly. From what I have seen they will not last much longer with they way they are running things. Please do not eat here if you want decent food in a timely manner. read more
