I received lots of recommendations like this. And, I wanted to find businesses with reviews, websites, detailed lists of services provided, photo galleries of completed projects, and proof of license & insurance. AMG Proline met this in spades. Abdullah responded quickly, confirmed capability and availability to complete all of my requested projects, and immediately scheduled a walk-through. Upon first arrival, it was abundantly clear how deep his expertise runs and how sharp his eye is for both function and design. Throughout the entire process, Abdullah was always extremely communicative and efficient. He sent updates of the work via text, photos, and videos. He offered options and suggestions, including why he recommended what he did, without any pressure or judgment. Foreman Mo and team were also lovely, kind, and efficient. Everyone clearly cared deeply about the quality of their work. However well they would do this work in their own personal homes, is how well they were doing the work in my home for me. I was never stressed or worried about the job, since I could see day by day how well it was going. They gave me a timing estimate of one month and beat it by an entire week. There was no nickel and diming, no attempts at random upcharging, no "emergencies requiring" more expensive work. Any ad-hoc items needing my input were clearly communicated to me and waited for my approval. I could not possibly be any happier with the results of their work. At my final walk-through, I was inspecting all the corners and finishes, and they were perfect. Abdullah and team were so detailed. I have been absolutely raving to my friends and family about how wonderful my experience was with AMG. I will be recommending to anyone and everyone. I had a big sliding door mirror that had a crack in it that I needed to get fixed before I move out. With the current pandemic and my own lack of car, I was having difficulty finding a place that could do it. A few said they couldn't do it at all because of the design, a few said that I would have to bring it to them (which I have no way of doing), and a few quoted prices that were just too high. Abdullah responded to my request very quickly, gave me a good price that included pickup and delivery, and was able to schedule me within a day. The installer, Alan, showed up on time and took the mirror down the elevator by himself, fixed it within a few hours, and then returned it the same day and helped put it back in the slide. If you want your time wasted, contact AMG Proline. Like many of you, I was looking at reviews on Yelp to narrow down potential candidates for a shower remodel in my master bath. I reached out to AMG Proline via their website contact form explaining my situation and requested more information. Days passed with no reply. After sending an additional request from my personal e-mail I received a call to set up an appointment at which time we agreed on a date and two hour time frame. Needless to say, that date and time arrived with a no call/no show. Giving AMG Proline the benefit of doubt, I was willing to give them a second chance if they called or texted to apologize for wasting my afternoon waiting at home. Nothing. How difficult is it to be honest? I have no qualms with someone saying "Something came up and I won't be able to make it, or we will need to reschedule". When you blow off a potential customer willing to spend thousands of dollars, that won't get you anywhere. Go back to the basics of decency. What excuse do you have? Edit: The only time AMG Proline reached out regarding the no call/no show was after I wrote this review. Unfortunately, I am no longer interested in your unreliable services. Side note- I found out Abdullah is also a GC but is the third generation in his family to do custom glass so he is specialized in it. It's so refreshing to work with a great vendor. So often I am disappointed. These guys are great, notably Abdullah. I called them late yesterday afternoon while everybody else was "gone for the day". The door to my business was defective and the glass was cracked like a spiderweb. All I had to do was send a couple of pictures. Within 5 minutes, he had a reasonable quote and a job time and advised that it would be fine overnight without a board-up. They did custom work on my closet door by cutting out and inserting clear safety glass so I could use the door on a room I renovated for wine display. They did a fantastic job on the work and repainted the door after the glass was inserted to match up exactly with the previous paint finish I had. I have used AMG Proline to install custom shower glass doors and a custom cut mirror. Abdullah was very professional in coordinating with me via text and his brother Alex did a fantastic job installing. Another bonus is his company takes credit cards. After getting quotes from a few other Chicago glass companies (3+), Abdullah was able to get me a better quote as he charged the same for a frameless vs framed shower glass (he explained some shower glass industry 'tricks'). I got an estimate on 10/3/18 and installed by 10/11/18 which took about 1.5 hours. I liked the work, so I decided to get a custom cut mirror that I received an estimate for on 10/11/18 and installed 10/14/18. Pros: -Friendly and professional manner -Easy communication via calls/text -Takes credit card -Fast turn around time and installation -Fair prices in relation to others in the shower glass industry -Final glass looks fantastic Cons: -None so far, I have enjoyed working with AMG Proline. Abdullah is a true professional. He is a man of his word and does excellent work. His crew is courteous, skilled and very neat. My project was to build a partition creating a private space for a bedroom/study. It involved capping the new drywall with glass to allow for light and installing an oversized pocket door as an entry point. He matched the existing vintage baseboards and mounding much to my delight. In addition, he installed a ceiling fan in that room, a chandelier in the living room, second bedroom and foyer and a sconce in a hallway. He had to add power for 3 of these lighting fixtures. We met at the appointed time in the condo, talked over the project and he gave me good advice when I had questions. His estimate was very fair and the schedule and completion of the project was done on time. I have since used his services on another project.
