The bowling was fun went with 11 friends and had 2 side by side lanes. A lane next to us used offensive and derogatory words for their names. It was offensive and I brought it up to the person behind the desk and they did nothing. Using the words gaylord; cunt; and clitorus they did nothing. Fun time until they showed up. I told the front desk of their inappropriate names and didn't care. As a lesbian in today's society I shouldn't have to feel uncomfortable bowling. Prob the last time I come here. Not because the service was bad. It because they allowed this to take place. I'll go somewhere else when I decide to go bowling again. read more

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. I deliberately called ahead because I'm familiar with waits for bowling due to leagues and parties... The woman who picked up the phone was so chipper, I told her I've never been here she replies: " Oh Come on, We ALWAYS have open lanes, you'll have so much fun." Only for me to get here and wait almost an hour, while watching 6 unoccupied lanes go unused for at least a half hour. I went back to question the wait, expressing I called and was told there are always lanes, Which is the only reason I came... I was told they have a lot going on, events, leagues and so I'd be waiting at minimum of another hour... NONE OF THIS WAS MENTIONED when I called. I will probably NEVER VISIT THIS bowling alley again. I love bowling, drove pass this bowling alley for about a year (new to the neighborhood) but I'll probably never step foot in here again... We came here for a great time on our day off during the week day to have fun.... yessss.... That's what we had... All the people working there was great... It wasn't much money as many places we bowled b4 so it was perfect.. This is a 100% honest review and I just feel the need to disclose that because there are many fake/irrelevant fake reviews out there. So me and my family entered this bowling alley 12/27 at around 9pm. (Yes we knew it was late yes we know there is a curfew). The problem is immediately when we stepped in to check in, the front desk lady (definitely a racist trump voter) DIDNT even bother to greet my family and i. It was just straight to "YOU GUYS KNOW WE CLOSE At 10, NO EXCEPTION I DONT CARE IF YOURE IN A GAME" which is fine but she came off beyond passive aggressive and pushy on us. Like we were a burden. So we automatically just got a terrible vibe from the staff because of this. But to top things off we pay and then get our shoes and as we're putting them on at the counter the staff starts counting down the clock like that'd make us feel any better . Extremely rude. For example they were saying things like well now you got half an hour, now twenty five minutes. Like really WTF. That is beyond rude we understand the rules we respect them. We understand why they're in place we didn't even have a problem with leaving at 10 we just wanted to bowl for a little. But clearly it was a problem for the staff there. Anyways we get to bowling and since my little cousin was with us we needed an XS ball for her the others were too heavy. And so we go to the back for the shelves of balls we're just looking around to see if there was one she could use. Without even touching the balls a worker lady with brown hair and glasses looks at us and says "ugh we just sanitized those I hope you didn't put your fingers in them" now we're gonna have to sanitize them again. I looked at this lady and I just thought to myself I'm never coming here again. So politely my older brother makes his way to the counter and says hey I know we can't touch the balls so do you guys by a chance have any we can get possibly XS ? And the worker lady just says nope, doesn't even try to look or search or bother to do anything. Sooo that was pointless. We get on with our game and just left on time because we couldn't stand the staffs attitude problems. read more

There was a waiting list but we didn't mind waiting we played in the new renovated game room. We had a blast that day. Come here Tuesday's for cheap bowling. The lady at the front desk very unpleasant to speak with. Told her we were a large group and she told us we couldn't pay separate and had to pay one big bill. Every Tuesday we come it's never like that. She gave us such an issue when we told her we couldn't put over $100 on just one persons card. She rolled her eyes and said nothing she could do about it. How rude! We ended up having 1 person pay for all 10. When we went to the bar to get drinks only two people purchased alcoholic beverages. The bartender demanded to see everyone's IDs even if we weren't getting a drink. My one friend only wanted water and left her ID in the car they told her to go outside and get it or leave. Absolutely ridiculous to have to be IDed for getting a cup of ice water. Then they had the audacity to scan her ID NOT only once but twice to make sure she was over 21!! Had my son's birthday party there on November 14 2015. From the sales associate that explained costs and the process to the people who executed and set every thing up; it was spot on perfect. Every detail was executed exactly as it was described. Where else can you have a party for 12 children, and feed the same amount of adults for less than 400 dollars. I will gladly and confidently recommend this bowling alley to anyone. My son is already talking about his next bowling party there. Me and my friends went here. They kicked us off our lane because there was a fundraiser for a church. Unreal. They could have at least told us there was a fundraiser and we would've gone another day. We had to wait in their trash arcade and win candy from a claw machine. We paid for a game and we tried for another but instead they canceled our second game. Came to bowl at Babylon bowl on a Sunday in early February. The place was pretty busy. Half the lanes were "dark" with glow up lights etc. We got a lane and they put us next to someone despite open lanes. We asked to move over so we could bowl quicker with less distraction. We were aware that kids bowl etc and have no problem with them running around and enjoying. The kid at the desk, yes he was a kid, was pretty rude and said no. We asked for the other side which had pretty much 20-25 lanes wide open. We were told they were just cleaned as we were put next to other people with kids running all over the place. Again, we had no problem with that. So, we ask to move just 1 lane over and again, were met pretty rudely by the kid at the desk, that they were just cleaned and wiped. We paid for 3 games each in advance. It took so long to bowl, we stopped after 2. So I go to get a refund and it was like I did something wrong. You would think with bowling not being a hot sport right now, they would be more courteous and welcoming. read more

Had a party for my grandson there today 13th Birthday the service was awful the woman who was taking care of us had no personality never came over until it was time for cake. Very disappointed for 230.00 dollars wasn't worth it! Last party we had there was great the young man was attentive to the kids got them bowling etc. extremely unhappy and won't be coming back to Babylon Bowl actually had other customers coming by and grabbing our burgers. read more

As a SERIOUS bowler - this is one of the finest houses I've rolled at in the U.S. and I'm being completely serious here. Nobody knows bowling like Mike, the manager at Babylon; the recent renovations have made the entire center sparkling and just like new. I rolled in a tournament there recently and I frankly can't wait to go back. THIS is how it's done; no wonder the PBA made this place a regular stop for years. read more

I went to Babylon Lanes with my family as a group this past Saturday to celebrate a birthday. The experience was wonderful! Staff were very friendly and professional. The facility and the bathrooms were clean, the music wasn't too loud and the food was delicious. We had a large group and didn't book a party, but the staff was so accommodating I just might use this place next year! Highly recommend. read more

Hours say from 11am to 12am but if you try to go before 8pm or 9pm any day you'll be turned away if you're not in a league, will a location this big you would think they would try to make space for non league players. They should put an asterix on the hours listings and tell you that any time before 8 or 9 will be league only. Very disappointed. read more

Wow. Talk about shock. My wife, 2 small children and I have been coming here for years. We've hosted our birthday parties here, friends go here for leagues, overall its a descent bowling alley, descent arcade and pretty good fun food. The children like coming here. Well today my wife and I decided to bring the children to bowl. Granted its a Sunday afternoon and they were crowded, we expected that. There were many lanes open, so we went up to the desk and asked if we could have one of these lanes. The lady behind the desk had such attitude with my wife and I. She said the lanes were reserved for a group coming in about a 1/2 hour, so she put us with the crowded area, another birthday party, no big deal. I let the lady's attitude slide and was there for my children. I was walking away when I saw my wife having an argument with the desk attendant. As my wife walked away, the attendant called my wife a BITCH. My wife started to cry. I asked to speak with the manager. The manager comes out and also has an attitude, seriously? I asked for my money back and said I will never come back here again. She said, no problem, here's your money have a good day. No apology, no respect and no recourse of an angry employee. I was born and raised in Lindenhurst and came here when I was a child. For years I continued the tradition with my family. I will never give them my business again! Stay away at all costs. Shame on you AMF Babylon Lanes for having such terrible manners, using profanity and an attitude towards returning paying customers. read more

I have bowled at Babylon Lanes on a Thurs. morning women's league for 23 years. That league has been going for about 40 years. Last year we had to change our bowling day to Wed. because the alley is not open Thurs. mornings any longer. The 1st bowling day of every month we have always brought in a birthday cake for the ladies who have a birthday that month. I bring in a box of munchkins every week to share with the ladies. On holidays we have a little brunch. We are an early morning league. There is no longer any food served at the food court for breakfast. We were told at Christmas time that we would no longer be allowed to bring in any food whatsoever. So sad, because now after over 40 years we will be moving our league to another bowling alley. read more

If you bowl with a league you are fine but the general public is forced to do "extreme bowling" in the dark. Dangerous conditions - you cannot even see the bowling guide markers on the lanes to know where the ball is going. Step between main level and bowling level is covered in black carpeting!!! Needless to say I fell and complained - they refused to put any more lighting to the area. Do not take your family here - not safe!!! read more
