You know how some attorneys are ambulance chasers? Well, AmeriPro could be considered storm chasers. They canvassed my neighborhood last April offering free roof inspections for an F1 tornado/microburst that hit central Lombard on August 10th, 2020. Not such a bad idea, although I was certain I had no roof, gutter or siding damage from that storm. I thought an inspection should be in order to be safe. Meanwhile, the rep they sent out was certain I had damage and that AmeriPro would bilk my insurance company for almost three times the amount it cost to replace my roof a few years ago. The insurance inspector came out and determined there was no storm damage at all. Fair enough. The AmeriPro rep mentioned that they also install vinyl siding as well as other home exterior services.
I decided to contact the company in July to get a quote on vinyl siding for my house and garage. The customer service rep on the phone immediately asked me if this was for a storm damage claim. No, it was to be a retail job for my home. We scheduled an appointment to have a rep come out to measure the house. Vince arrived a couple days later and asked me if he could see the storm damaged areas. I told him there was no damage and that I was looking for a quote to improve my home. He had to call the home office to confirm what he was actually going to do here. He then agreed to do measurements and photograph the house. He said the estimating department would contact me the next day with a price. They never called. I contacted the rep a week later; He said he was sorry and somehow the quote fell through the cracks and he would have a quote ready in 5 days. That day never came. Maybe the job was too small or perhaps they were too busy looking for damaged roofs from last year's storm!
I'm sure if you have storm related roof damage these ought to be the people you call. More so, if you hate your insurance company and you want to stick it to them. I'm sure AmeriPro will be to your place in a heartbeat! read more
