Great breakfast in a tiny space. The waitlist is a tiny notebook on the tiny counter as soon as you open the door. If you blink you'll miss it. Keep an eye on how long you wait because our name got crossed off even though we were still waiting. Staff was nice and the place was packed. The food came out pretty quick. The bacon was probably my favorite part. It was thick, none of that thin crap, not very fatty, and it was cooked so perfectly. The potatoes are seasoned but just lightly which was also ok. There was something special about the pancakes. They were light and fluffy and tasted different. But the good kind of different. The kind of different that makes you wonder how they made them so good. read more

Not sure how I got there, but I got there. It's on a sketchy part of town. I had made the mistake getting a urber to a different establishment and it was a crazy full I was told it was going to be a 3 hr wait for a table. so started walking around and found this place. It was a little bit of a wait not 3 hours about 40 minutes , but food was definitely worth. It would've taken pictures, but we were so hungry. Walking around the ghetto. Didn't even think about it. Service was good. read more

Americana is one of the most beautiful brunch spots on Capitol Hill. The décor is stylish, inviting, and creates a great atmosphere whether you're meeting friends or just enjoying a quiet brunch. Our server was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made the experience even more enjoyable. The only downside was the food. While everything looked great, the portions were surprisingly small--more like something you'd expect on a toddler's plate than a full brunch. On top of that, the prices felt far too high for the amount of food served. If the portion sizes better matched the cost, this place would easily earn five stars. Overall, it's worth visiting for the ambiance and excellent service, but be prepared to pay premium prices for a very modest meal. read more

Okay Yelp, let's talk about this place. Our friends kept raving about this place so we decided to give it a chance. The service outstanding and the food was okay. Our friends were already seated and ordered extra crispy bacon and yam fries. Good. I ordered the chopped salad and tomato soup. The chopped salad was pretty good but I should have read more in depth because it had no lettuce just beats feta pistachios etc. very light and refreshing. The tomato soup was not your traditional soup it had a Mexican flair. It was okay. Our other friends ordered the Benedict and the breakfast slam. They said their food was good. Overall this restaurant is good place to try but know I know that it's not a traditional breakfast spot but has a Latina twist. read more

My partner and I stumbled upon this adorable little restaurant while out grabbing coffee one morning! The service was perfect - friendly and genuine without being over the top, especially for a slower Tues. morning. Easily the best French toast l've ever had. I never eat the fruit that comes with French toast, but the peaches were incredible - fresh, sweet, and unforgettable. I ordered the half portion, which was perfectly filling. My partner got the grilled chicken sandwich from the lunch menu, and even as a picky eater, he ate it up. It's rare when a meal feels like good karma - but this one did :) read more

Americana boast that they are beloved by Yelp--- and they are very good, consistently reliable and enjoyable. Today my husband and I went for brunch with two of our close friends. We put our names on a short wait list and were seated within twenty minutes. I ordered coffee, a mimosa, and the Maple Glazed Pork Belly. The pork belly came with a side of scallion scrambled eggs and corn and mozzarella pancakes. The pancakes were delicious, a unique and flavorful spin on corn-cake. The pork bell was good, but a bit too crispy (it made parts a little too tough). My mimosa was also good, but I prefer a little less juice. I was able to have a taste of my husband's dish (the lamb burger) and that was excellent---no notes. My only real gripe is that we were not checked on more than once the entire meal. We all ordered coffees and nobody came to refill coffees or waters for the duration of our 45 minute breakfast. read more

Foods not bad but the service was terrible, the guy has no idea what he's doing. We came here for brunch after a run and trying to find anything that was a normal restaurant in the area. Parking is frustrating as it's street and pay for parking, the area is not a good area, we saw crime happening on our walk and many homeless scenes. The bathroom was outside and around the corner and not very clean. The food was decent and the servers was so friendly and nice, but because of the crime and parking I don't think I'll be returning to this spot. read more

Ended up coming here on a weekend brunch when other places were really busy and this place had openings. Honestly, I had high expectations because of the reviews, but I was pretty disappointed. I was craving an eggs Benedict, and so I had their version of the eggs Benedict, and that was unique to say the least. The tomato and mushroom sauce made it more savory and gave it a whole different flavor to the classic Benedict. The French toast was good, but I think the portion was a little small for my taste. The bread has a hard crust and so it's not what my partner had anticipated in a regular French toast dish. Do not expect soft and fluffy French toast. It is more like a harder crusted bread That is also toasted. They share their bathroom with other businesses in the area, but it definitely is a bit sketchy. When I went, it was quite dirty and the sink was clogged and I couldn't really wash my hands. The sink water faucet was really strong and full on splashed me when I turned it on. Hopefully, they maintain their bathrooms better. read more

Got two of the maple glazed pork belly - one was cooked very well with a nice gradient of soft to crispy! The other was VERY hard and tough. I rarely say that the restaurant was bad and don't go, but my breakfast experience was really tasteless and nothing but out of the box frozen Costco food. Ordered chicken fried steak and was served two square, breaded pieces of tasteless pre-made meat off some sort. The eggs were cold and the side potatoes were nothing special. My wife ordered what was supposed to be smoked salmon and dill eggs. She got something that looked like canned salmon on toast. Again, prepackaged and not good. Surprisingly the place was busy and maybe we just ordered the worst meals. I can say the coffee was hot and pretty good. Overall an expensive and bad meal. read more

Cute place right on Broadway in Capitol Hill. Great food, excellent service. So good we went twice during our stay.

My bf and I came here for brunch at 10:30 am on a Saturday and didn't have to wait for a table which is always a plus! Chicken fried steak- 5/5 I don't think I've ever had chicken fried steak before so I have nothing to measure it by but this was delicious! The chicken was perfectly crispy + juicy on the inside. What more can ya ask for? Corned beef hash- 3/5 this was alright. Nothing special but not bad either! A side of the French toast- 4/5 everyone on here really hyped up the French toast so I knew I needed to order at least a side of it. It was pretty good! If you want a little bit of sweet, this will definitely do it. read more

Our food is as really good! My kids ate every bite of their food. I am really picky with my breakfast potatoes and these were perfect. Everything on my plate was delicious. Probably one of the best breakfast spots I've eaten in a while. I would definitely go back in the future to take any family that might come to town. It's a meet up type of spot if I want a good breakfast with friends or family and I'm only paying for myself or a date spot. Not a family type spot if you have kids unless you want to pay $140+. It's also small inside so it's not really meant for large groups. Customer service was great, they do a really good job at checking on you and answering questions which I'm really happy since they added a $20 Tip. Cons - I did not know they did gratuity. We have 4 kids so I wouldn't have went if I knew bringing my kids would add a $20 gratuity. *Food is delicious but the portions aren't that big my 2 younger boys are usually able to share a big breakfast meal but the French Toast Slam that was $21 was enough to only fill up my 8 year old. *No kids menu *I didn't like their coffee $9 for 2 cups (my husband isn't picky with coffee so he was fine with his Lol) I didn't end up drinking mine **BUT I love that they did have Almond Milk available for my coffee! I appreciate having that option. The toast and jelly that come with the omelette meal were very good as well. Across the street there is a parking structure under the Bank of America it was like $1 a hour in case you don't find street parking, Highway recommend just not happy with the added gratuity that wasn't mentioned beforehand . I don't do gratuity places with kids unless it's a special occasion. read more

I enjoy the brunch food at Americana very much. The Americana Benedict is a unique and savory joy, with poached eggs, Canadian bacon and Gouda over potato pancakes all topped with a smoky tomato-based sauce. The bread they use for toast and French toast is wonderfully thick and crusty. The jam that comes with every meal is delicious! The service can be a bit hit-or-miss. Friendly, but sometimes slow or missing a few things. Spent the morning up on Capitol Hill after a photo shoot. Parked right in front of this cozy little restaurant and after seeing their menu on the window I went in. I ordered the avocado and salsa omelette. It came with sourdough toast and potatoes. I had their fruit smoothie as well. Here are the grades: Omlette- 9/10 Perfectly cooked, flavorful, salsa and avocado was fresh and had amazing taste. Toast- 8/10 I wish I had a choice of the type of toast but it was good. Sourdough toast always rips up the inside of my mouth. The strawberry jam was awesome. Potatoes- 10/10 Perfectly cooked and with their hot sauce and ketchup they were fantastic. Fruit smoothie- 9/10 One word.....delishious!! Service- 10/10 Price - $26.48 Great place for a breakfast. I'm surprised there weren't more people there. read more

A decent, although somewhat lowkey brunch place in Capitol Hill and it is not as busy as some of the other brunch spots nearby like Glo's, Skillet, etc. From the table set-up, this place is friendly for going solo or as a party of 2, with fewer tables for larger parties than that. They have an extensive cocktail menu, but after drinking a lot the past day, I opted out of trying the cocktails here. We got the maple glazed pork belly and the Seattle Slam with sausage and sunny side up, substitute for French Toast. Maple glazed pork belly is relatively unique as I don't really see that in other American brunch spots in Seattle so far, though the pork belly itself was quite dry. It still has a nice flavor and crisp, and the sweet sauce made it a nice balance with the savory scallion scrambled eggs and corn pancakes (which has more of a texture of cornbread). Seattle Slam was decent - a bit basic but the sausage was very soft and juicy. The eggs were cooked properly. The French Toast was very crispy and buttery. Even though it costs $4.50 more to substitute, it was worth it. We also justified the cost as the maple glazed pork belly already has pancakes. Service was pretty hands-off most of the time, but requests were fulfilled as needed promptly. It is an American restaurant, so more service is expected, but I guess the vibe here is different. read more

My friends and I were looking for a brunch place in Cap Hill, and amidst all the long wait times, we found Americana! We went around noon on Saturday and there was no wait at all. The waitstaff is friendly and the menu has creative variety. We shared the Cheeseburger Mac n Cheese and I got the Maple Pork Belly. All of us agreed that the Mac n Cheese was great, super creamy, and had a lot of flavor due to the peppers. Food was ok. I had the herbed omelette and my partner had the applesauce pancakes. It was good food but nothing to knock our socks off. They didn't have a great selection of hot sauce either which was a bit of a bummer. The mimosa was ok too. Good standard breakfast food. They have a few vegetarian options and at least one vegan option. Service was eh. They were clearly quite busy and understaffed. It seems like a family establishment with just two servers for the bar and all tables. They took our orders and dropped off the food, but mostly we're running around elsewhere outside of that. They were doing their best, but my partner's coffee was empty for a while and we had to flag them down a few times for the check. Ambiance was ok. I would say it kind of felt like having breakfast at a dive bar? The patio doors were open so it was airy but the interior is very dark and aged. Overall not a bad experience, but probably wouldn't come back just because there's better options in the area in my opinion. We gave it a try and it was fine. read more

Thick cut, rustic French toast with the perfect chew, slightly fried on the outside. Ordered the Seattle Slam (2 eggs your choice, your choice of protein, 2 pancakes), subbed / upgraded French Toast instead of pancakes, which was well worthwhile. Bacon is Hempler thick cut bacon, quite tasty. Fonte coffee available ftw. Enjoyed lovely service on a weekday morning - not the biggest café so we were lucky to avoid weekend wait. Sometimes when my husband has errands, he occasionally offers to take me out somewhere new to eat. This was one of those days that I was really excited about. I googled a few places closer to the waterfront in Seattle because it was bright and sunny out which is rare for this time of year, however, I couldn't find anything I was interested in so I started looking for restaurants similar to the Carlile room and this one popped up. One of the things that I really liked while checking out some of the other reviews it seemed like there wouldn't be a wait time. The entryway is a little narrow and the space is small BUT the layout is really nice and they have indoor and outdoor seating. We got a nice little corner on the edge of outdoor seating by the window. Service was interesting. I couldn't read the vibe. It was either "I'm just here so I don't get fined" or "I'm just doing my job". Either way, I wouldn't categorize it as friendly. They were cordial though and prompt. The food absolutely makes up for what service lacks. It was fresh and cooked well. One fascinating thing happened I ordered over medium fried eggs and half came out medium the other came out Sunnyside. Never seen that before. I recommend the corned beef and hash with breakfast potatoes. I had food envy watching my husband enjoy that. I got The Broadway and liked it, though. Check this place out. read more

The Benedict is covered in this sauce that tastes almost like a tomato pasta sauce. Never had anything like it before, but it's SO good.
