This was the worst field trip we have ever been on! I've been a teacher for 7 years and have used several different bus companies. We had a "complicated" trip with about 160 passengers and multiple stops/destinations. Biggest issues: 1. They wouldn't let us adjust the pick up times even though we had the buses rented the entire day. We had to book a separate company for drop off for 2 of our buses. 2. They were late to the original pick up time!! (It worked out that we could send 1 bus later.) This was a performance-based trip so we almost missed our performance. 3. One of the buses just left while we were there, we still had another stop to get to but they "had to do their routes." This caused a group of students and a parent to get stranded in the hot sun for about 2 hours. Parents and principals complained. 4. Because of the bus leaving, we had to cram 130 people on 2 buses to get to our last stop, including having to send a group of chaperones in an uber because they couldn't fit on the buses. 5. Again because of double booking, even though the drivers were kind to us, they were frustrated because they were late to their routes. I have never had a bus company be so hard on times, and not flexible at all when things were running behind. read more

The service has steadily gone downhill over the last few years with this company. From the older buses to cranky drivers to consistent late pick ups, I've had enough. I have given them the benefit of the doubt because I've used them for many years, but after a really bad experience that lost me a good client a few weeks ago due to one of their buses breaking down and two others being late enough to ruin scheduled activities, I will never use them again. There are plenty of other options in town to use, and I advise you to do so. read more

American transportation is great with being on time. The buses are always clean and the seats look classy. They're not necessarily conducive to taking both spaces as the divider doesn't go far enough back to get out of the way.... you can definitely attempt to cuddle, but the likelihood is your side is going to HURT. You can fit coolers between the seats which is for frat invites. The bus drivers are normally very accommodating, but last weekend the driver (forget his name) almost made us go to a restaurant other than in n out (which we requested)... ew. This weekend my driver, Hellena, was InCrEdIbLe - huge fan. she got us there quickly, without issue. The stop in Barstow was perfectly timed. Super great driving, no issues there! Dan has been really great. We use AT for all of our athletic needs. They have the right size of busses for our trips. Even if there is a mistake they go out of their way to fix it and correct. I booked the Executive Bus and it was a joke. The bus driver said he forgot to add water to the bus for the bathroom to work. They also forgot toilet paper (not that we could use it anyway). The reason we chose this bus is because we needed a bathroom. At this point we had already paid and needed to get to our destination. 1 minute into our ride we turn on a movie, the front right TV is not working, the back half of the bus can't hear the Audio, and we notice a few USB ports don't work. I notify the bus driver and he tells me, "Oh Idk. We rotate around 5 buses. Thanks for letting me know." If you have 5 other buses... Why did you take the one with a 1. broken bathroom 2. No running water 3. Broken tv 4. Broken USB ports 5. Broken audio CHECK THE BUS BEFORE YOU TAKE IT ON A TRIP! Literally should be the first thing the company should do before they allow buses to go on a trip. Once we arrive to our destination we have to ask to use their water to fill up the bus and toilet paper to take with us on our 3 and a half hour trip home. This company is a joke/scam. read more

I wish I could give a 0 star review. The bus was not as advertised. It was trash. It spilled oil all over our company property. Also, the bathroom was horrible. There was no toilet paper, but I guess that doesn't matter because the bathroom didn't even work due to no water being on the bus. The entertainment system didn't work. Half the bus couldn't hear and some of the tv's didn't work. Also, every person on the bus got car sick. I don't know why, but we all were nauseous. We booked this bus for a company excursion. It was a 6 hour round trip and it ruined our whole day. Would definitely, emphatically, recommend to NOT book this company. Basically a scam. read more

I hired ATS to shuttle 40 of my guests from a hotel in Agoura Hills to a private estate in Malibu where my wedding would be held. I spoke with a company rep over the phone to go over the pricing and details. The most direct route between Points A and B is to take a windy road Kanan/Kanan Dume Rd from Agoura to the coast. However, the hotel manager informed me that large vehicles such as buses are prohibited on that road and must take an alternate route. This information was relayed to the ATS rep and the shuttle service was booked. The events that occur on the day of the event were relayed to me by my guests who were on the bus since I didn't take the bus myself. The bus arrived at the hotel at 4:00pm on schedule. From there, everything goes downhill. What should have been a 40 minute ride turned into a 3 hour fiasco. The bus driver started out by taking the 101 fwy in the wrong direction. She was using her phone for directions to the venue, but at some point her phone died leaving her completely useless. One of my guests on board provided directions but mistakenly told her to turn onto Kanan. The driver was unaware of the bus prohibition on that road. A crazy random guy who managed to pull over the bus and inform the driver of the dangers of the windy road was out of everyone's control, but that added to the delay. He called the police who eventually escorted the bus to the alternate route. After the wedding was all over with, I spoke with ATS owner Dennis several times over the phone to try to come to a resolution for the wayward bus. He initially offered a 20% refund for the inconvenience, but I wasn't satisfied with that. It is unacceptable that the driver was uninformed of the correct route to take and that she relied on her cell phone for maps. I had originally arranged for an extra trip back to the hotel after dinner so that aunties and uncles weren't obligated to stay for the music and dancing. However, upon arrival at the venue, the bus driver made an announcement that there would be only one return trip back to the hotel at the end of the night. I was too busy apologizing profusely to everyone on the bus and didn't think to talk to the driver about this. Dennis denies that the driver could have said these words and his GPS report shows that she started up the bus at 9pm at the bottom of the venue driveway, yet no one came out for a ride back to the hotel. It's the word of my guests vs. what the driver told the company owner. Decide for yourself who is more believable. Setting aside what happened the day of my wedding, I am dissatisfied with the customer service of ATS. Dennis the owner was not professional and provided various excuses for why he did not return my phone calls in a timely manner. His interests were clearly to make sure that he did not lose money on this transportation service. In the end, he refunded me the amount I paid in overtime charges to the caterer, but that was still less than what I paid for the bus. I would never recommend ATS to anyone and I wish that I had taken precautions by giving the correct route to one of my guests on board the bus. read more

I ordered the Executive Coach bus with black leather seats as shown in the photos. Looks like a new bus -- in the photos. I emailed Adam 10 days before my event to confirm I was getting the Executive Coach with the black leather seats and he sent a note back saying YES! Instead of getting what I ordered and paid for, I got a much older white bus with blue fabric seats, and it was too late to do anything about it. Boy was I embarrassed! I told the Driver this wasn't what I ordered and he told me if I didn't want the bus he'd leave. I told him I needed to transport 50 people. I kept the bus and decided to write this YELP.
