My girlfriend dropped her phone at a bus stop by Union Station and someone mistakenly gave it to the driver of a bus going to Las Vegas, while we were taking a bus to Phoenix. I had reservations about this place since their customer service was terrible. I dealt with it and the coach and driver were excellent. However, the second time around proved to be worse. After being told our reservations were solid many many times, somehow a week before our big event we were told our reservations were lost and they had no coaches available (it was comi con weekend in SD). And the person we were originally working with no longer worked their. They didn't bother to help me find another coach, only gave me names of 2 places to try and I was pretty much on my own. I feel like they left me high and dry with trying to find transportation for 50ppl. It was apparent they wanted their coaches for comicon only because they couldn't be bothered helping me. I don't recommend this place and will never use them again. Choir Tour Group of 28 plus bags, equip, etc... When being asked to find way for the Choir to get from LAX to the Palm Springs area, I of course immediately went online and researched charter bus companies. There was one site that allowed you to instantly request quotes from a number of companies all at once. So, I tried it. Only 3 companies in the So. Calif. area responded, so that immediately narrowed the field. Odyssey was one of them. The contact person, Ali, was professional, sympathetic, and patient. Oh, did I tell you that the choir was flying in from Uganda on Christmas Day!! Oh yeah, and it was a last minute request due to a multitude of delays. Ali made it all go so smoothly. Everyone was so grateful that they had a ride from the airport, it was comfortable, clean and they were able to store all their bags and totes with ease. Most of them even were able to sleep on the commute from the airport. The Choir's tour is wrapping up and I have just booked their return charter to LAX. Our organization needed a charter bus for a group of decision makers from out of the area. The group was to be driven around the greater San Diego area to see some of the sights pertaining to the needs of the organization. I contacted several companies via email and telephone and ended up using Odyssey Coach. I was apprehensive at first, because I have never had to organize such a trip. On August 1st through 3rd, 2014, we held our annual family reunion in Brea, California. This is a major event for our family, and this year was the 55th year of the reunion. We were under a lot of pressure to show the family members a good time, and provide a very positive and memorable reunion experience. A major part of this event was providing transportation for a group of approximately 100 people who had a long list of things that they wanted to do over a 3 day period. After reading other testimonials, Odyssey Coach was the company we selected. Let me tell you we have no regrets. Drivers showed up early and were courteous. The equipment was pristine and in good working order. During the planning process, they were responsive and were able to meet our numerous changes in transportation needs. At one point they thought that they could not meet our needs for a second day of service added at the last minute. We were amazed when they committed to finding another company to help us obtain transportation for the last minute change. However, that was not necessary as one of their own buses became available, and they were able to accommodate us after all. But we will never forget that commitment to meet the client's need, even if it meant finding another company. How many other companies do you know would do this? It was a first for us. We loved working with Hugo Dorantes. He answered all of our questions and always got back to us in a timely manner. In the end, the reunion was a success, with many attendees mentioning how wonderful it was to have nice, reliable transportation. I was told my refund would be processed right away. They also refused to fill out their basic vendor information I had requested (name, address, TIN). I asked for a refund 2 weeks ago and was told it would take up to 5 business days before I saw this reflected on my credit card. I was told today that in fact the refund was not processed at all, and they would have to mail me a check. As far as I'm concerned, they have stolen $1500 from me. On top of their game!! I worked with both Robert and Averi to book 7 different days for an international group of 45. First of all, Robert not only matched a competitor's quote, he even threw in additional savings just as a way of saying "thank you". For each event, the bus driver always arrived earlier than scheduled, and was very accommodating to our group's schedule whenever there were some time shifts. For the last day, something came up and we had to reschedule the bus pick-up time from 9AM to 6AM, and it was at NIGHT the day before, but we were able to contact the boss and he made it happen for us! Literally one of the worst experiences we've had with a bus company. We book buses a lot for events, but the company we usually use was unavailable for an upcoming event so we tried Odyssey. Throughout the process of trying to get a quote we were emailed by three different people, all of which quoted us different amounts. We were told repeatedly that someone would contact us within 24 hours only to have days go by with no contact. When we finally tried to finalize the contract the price was more than double any of the quotes we had received, much higher than other companies, and it didn't even include some of the expenses! Bottom line, their business practices are shady, they have no professionalism, and they will string you along for weeks with great quotes only to slam you with a horrible price at the end. We should have cut bait weeks ago, with all the red flags, but the quotes were too good to walk away from. Turns out they were also too good to be true. read more
