I booked a Los Angeles and Beach Tour and didn't even know it was the same company that was taking me back to Vegas! lol The bus pulled up and I was like... wow.. ironic. So only problem I had with this was the operator giving us the wrong time to be at the bus stop. She told us 8:30 but after calling her because it wasn't showing up, she told us it wouldn't pull up until 9:30.. She said sorry a bunch and we just went to grab some food until it was time to go back to the bus stop. Before the tour everyone has to go pay (If you didn't already online) So you go to the bus station where the office is. Sometimes you have to make a transfer to a different bus, depending on tours and such. The driver was the tour guide and was a pretty funny friendly guy. He knew a lot about movies. So what would happen is he would drive us around then drop us off and tell us where to meet the bus. So first drop off was Hollywood Blvd. We were there for about 2 hours then went back onto the bus. Next we went through, Venice, saw the Hollywood sign, Chinatown, and Beverly Hills. Last stop was Santa Monica Beach. We stayed for almost two hours. Long 8 hour day but it was so much fun. I think only one small thing should be considered. I think everyone should be able to give the driver they're cell phone numbers because of anything that could happen while off the bus. Me and my party was a little late walking back just because we had a small child with us that was being a little fussy and when we got back the driver was on the phone with the operator trying to get them to call us. It would of been so much more easier for him to just had our number.

3.5 Stars My manager's boss has asked me to spearhead our department's annual offsite two years in a row now. HA.. This year we went to Santa Barbara. So last year (not my choice), but we booked ANOTHER bus company and didn't have that great of an experience. This year I had 3 different bus companies lined up, contacted each of them and decided to go with Lux Bus America. The one thing I really wanted this year was CUP HOLDERS and they told me that the bus did have cup holders. YES! (I don't want to hold my drink between my feet like last year.) Since this was going to be an overnight stay, they require you to provide the room for the bus driver, however you do not have to provide the food. All parking fees are also your responsibility. The balance is due 14 days prior to departure. Compared to the other bus company I worked with last year, Ryan from Lux Bus was VERY responsive. As soon as I sent him an email, he replied either instantly or within the hour. I sent them our itinerary, schedule (with arrival and departure times for each stop) and maps a week in advance. Ryan provided me with the bus driver's name and cell phone number the day before. The bus was supposed to arrive at 8AM (for departure at 8:30AM), but came at 7:20AM. Great, I like early people! The bus is nice and so is the interior and (faux) wood floors?! Anyway, our bus driver informed me that she got my schedule and maps 3 days in advance and reviewed it with her husband who is also a bus driver. (Last year, our bus driver didn't review it at all.) To my horror, this bus didn't have cup holders.. only the front seats did. The driver did inform me that they did have other buses with cup holders for each seat, but we'd needed to request it... BLAH, but I thought I did! Overall, I really liked the bus ride. However, the bus driver seemed to tailgate the car in front of us a few times and almost hit another car (the alarm sound went off once). The other thing I have to point out is that with L.A. traffic coming back.. there is a lot of "stop and go" and a few people got motion sick from that since the bus tends to sway.... 48 Seat Passenger Bus $2,520 (plus Driver's Gratuity) 193/100 Reviews for 2014

AWESOME! This is NOT the company that stranded people in Vegas with a Groupon. Ok - I was hesitant at first - but once I got on I was ecstatic! Nice & clean, drinks served by the LuxBus version of a flight attendant. Tray tables sit perfectly to work on the laptop (some buses even have power outlets for regular plugs), the Wi-Fi worked great for me! I'M ON THE BUS RIGHT NOW! I've been able to get work done, bus is 3/4 full so I can stretch out, enjoy the view and take calls. This is WAY better than driving. Skyfall is on the TV and another movie is coming up. I'm very pleased and grateful!

We needed a last min solution to get to Vegas and found this company that offers a $99 round trip. We were a little worried as did not have a confirmed reservation as online reservation not accepted day before. Showed up at desk at Garden Walk at 8 am and secured last of 3 seats over Memorial Day weekend. Best to arrive early to stand in line for boarding pass & best seats. Bus seats about 30 and has a bathroom. Drinks served are coke, diet coke, 7 up, water and orange juice. Snacks are cheese/crackers. They showed two movies and provided headsets although I would suggest bringing one's own. There are two staff, a bus driver and the attendant. One stop at Barstow Station that has Panda Express, Quiznos, etc. Drop off is at Flamingo, Harrah, and downtown. Unfortunately on our return which was supposed to leave Vegas at 3:30 left at 6 pm since the bus broke before we left Vegas so had a 2 hour delay. The breakdown certainly was unforseen and they attended to it with first a try at having a mechanic fix it but inevitable we got a replacement bus. Since they had only one trip a day on time performance is never guaranteed. I think this is an okay option if one doesn't want to drive and airfares are too high.

The view from where im seated at. The movie, Pixels is playing right now. On the way to Vegas!!

Ive rode the LuxBus many times and im still satisfied with their service. Its always the same "Russian" stewardess that ive seen. She is absolutely hilarious and informative. 2 drinks and one snack is provided. Also if you are not trying to ktfo on the bus there are 2 movies that will be shown on the bus so you are not completely bored out of your mind. Need to charge your phone? No problem! Theres 2 outlets below in the middle of both leather seats. Bathroom? Theres one at the end on the left hand side. Theres plenty of room for you to feel comfortable riding this bus ( Leg room ) Btw if you are riding this bus to my home Vegas, there is one stop at Barstow station. If you want more than a snack thats provided.. At barstow station you will find a Panda express, subway, Popeyes, Mcdonalds. With that said, safe travels!!

I just took my brother and his partner yesterday (Monday) and we all truly enjoyed it. Keoni (Kee) was our tour guide and driver; she did an amazing job! We learned a lot of historical and fun facts about LA! She even gave us great restaurant and store recommendations. We especially enjoyed being able to take a little nap after a great lunch and didn't have to worry about having to drive in the traffic and craziness. Lol. Kee was great at enduring that traffic and very accommodating in letting us know how much time we had to our next stop! Thanks Kee!! Oh and thanks "A Day In LA Tour" team for the parking recommendation as well. I was able to park in the garage the entire day for $20 and there was a Mcdonald's up the street we grabbed breakfast before checking in. Like I said in my previous review, I highly recommend this tour team and when my family visits I will bring them on this tour. Keep up the fantastic work and great upgrades (the AC vans, water, reclining seats, and USB ports to charge my cellphone are a brilliant upgrade). I will definitely be back! We've taken the tram when we've parked at Mickey and Friends. However, there is another option if you are disabled, have cognitive issues, or have a family member who needs special assistance. That's where the Mickey Van becomes a life saver for people have have physical or cognitive challenges. Sometimes the wait for the tram can be overwhelming for some people. The Mickey Van provides alternative transportation with a level of comfort that you won't get while riding on the tram. The Mickey Van has its own pick up point to the left of the tram stop. Look for the sign that says "Mickey Van". Cast members will direct you toward the van when it is safe to cross. The ramp is already lowered for you and you just walk inside and buckle up. One thing that I love about The Mickey Van is that if it's cold outside, the heat is on and it's nice and toasty inside. If it's hot out, it'll be nice and cool as the air conditioning will be blowing freely as you step inside. The seats are very comfortable and they do have designated areas in which wheel chairs and scooters can be safely secured. Another advantage to taking the Mickey Van is that there are less people in this small enclosure. The Mickey Van typically runs throughout the day. However, the drivers take a break between noon and 3pm as less people are arriving to the parks around that time. The van typically stops running between 11pm and midnight, depending on the number of people that need a ride back to the parking structure. I really like taking the Mickey Van because it takes a lot of stress off of people as they're waiting for the tram. A lot of people don't realize that this service is available for visitors to the park. This is also a viable option for parents who have children with special needs. If any of this applies to yourself or your family, look into taking The Mickey Van when need assistance getting from the structure to the parks. On a good day, you get the driver who cranks up the air conditioning on a hot day, and you are so thankful. Or the fun driver who does Disney Trivia on the ride back to the structure. I failed every question. HAHA! The Mickey Van is for those guests in scooters, as you ride your scooter into the van instead of onto the Mickey and Friends Tram. The van drops you off a little further from the structure as the tram does, but when the tram line is insanely long with scooters / strollers this is very convenient! Drivers are always very friendly and helpful!

Our guide, Charles, was very informative from the moment we set off and was happy to be asked questions as we went along. We loved Nuestra Señora Reina which was so peaceful and had such a magical aura. Amazing that such a vibrant, influential city has grown from such beginnings. The tours around Hollywood, Sunset Strip/Boulevard and Beverly Hills were great too. The latter was almost TOO perfect! We were not keen on Venice Beach... at all! It was a shame it was our last stop as it therefore left a lasting impression. We're not conservative people by the way (family of 4 Vegans) but I just fail to see the appeal of a place inhabited by zombies! I've read about the places supposed bohemian vibe and, yes, some of the murals and graffiti were really cool but what is exciting/appealing/alluring about a place where vastly large numbers of people look grossly unhappy, seriously unwell, completely oblivious to the outside world or, in most cases, a combination of all three? The tour should really take this into account. We were with our kids but others on the tour had really young children with them and looked really uncomfortable with Venice Beach. I can understand maybe stopping the bus there but not giving us time to explore. Other than my comments about Venice, a few other gripes: *There was a couple on our tour that repeatedly returned to the bus 15-30 mins later than instructed. As a result the tour overran by nearly 3 hours and we were stuck in commuter traffic coming back. I suggest threatening such people with abondonment at Venice Beach. That should prove to be sufficient deterrent! * Our guide, Charles, was also our driver. A separate guide and driver would be much better as it made communicating with him more difficult * Not sure why the longest stop was at The Farmers' Market. We would have much preferred more time in Hollywood, Beverly Hills, LA or an additional stop at Santa Monica All in all though, we enjoyed the trip and loved LA (except for 'Zombieville'...)

For our trip we had 2 buses with over 100 people but both the guides and drivers worked diligently to ensure we were all taken care of. On the bus that I was on, Lisa and Nghia took care of us. John was in charge of the second bus. They were friendly, entertaining, and accommodating. During the ride they played movies to pass the time. They made stops about every 2 hours to make sure everyone can use the bathroom. Complimentary snacks and water were passed out throughout the trip. At each stop, we also had adequate time to take photos. Our tour guide Nghia walked around and snapped photos of us too on his professional camera and after the trip they made every family a CD so we can all have photos for memories. That is a very nice touch to everything that they're doing right so far. The hotels they chose for us to stay in were clean and has complimentary breakfast.
