Pick up was 1 hour later than communicated. Made multiple calls to check on the bus's status and weren't given any information. We were starting at the first location so having a bus arrive 1 hour late wasn't expected. Very poor experience. Book another tour service. read more

This tour company is a joke! I booked a tour to Universal Studios, Hollywood and the service was atrocious. After we were picked up, we were taken to their terminal which also doubles as a dinner show with dancing/magic acts. I had prepaid for the tour and upon arriving at the "terminal", I was given a ticket to get on the bus and told our driver would have our tickets to get into Universal. Our driver, Ken, was decent and I don't fault him. When we arrived at Universal, we asked him for our tickets and he informed us that we should have been given them back at the terminal. When we told him that we were informed that he would have the tickets he got angry with the idiots in their Anaheim terminal and called the Hollywood office. We got back on the bus and went to the Hollywood office where I was told I needed to go inside and get the tickets. When I walked in, I was already angry over their screw up. The staff in the Hollywood office was ill informed and looked like a bunch of morons. After finally getting two tickets to go to Universal, the driver took us back to the park. After all the shuttling around we lost an hour! We were told that we would be picked up at 6:00pm and to be out front waiting. We arrived at the bus pick up area at 5:30 and no bus. 6:00 came and went and again, no bus. I called the terminal and was told that the driver had left Hollywood at 6:05 and would arrive at 6:15. When the driver arrived, it was a different person, different bus and she was rather rude and unapologetic about being late, instead blaming it on other guests that arrived late from their Hollywood tour! The next day I called to complain and was offered a total of $40.00 refunded back to my account for the inconvenience. After arguing with the "operations manager" for close to 20 minutes I told him to refund the money immediately. To this day (5 days after the tour) no money has been refunded! BEWARE! I'll never use them again!!!! read more

I read mixed reviews about this tour company online, but because of how much we would be able to see in one day on the LA Grand Tour with Beach Tour. Plus it was only $55 per person with a coupon--worth the price alone for someone to drive me through LA traffic. The tour started a bit late because one family was not ready at their scheduled pick up time. We left 30 minutes late due to this--I'm not sure why they wait on folks if late and inconveniencing others. However, once on our way we saw a lot and had good timed stops to see the beach, star homes, and Hollywood. There were bathrooms at each stop as well as food and drink options. We were returned to the hotel 9 hours after the tour started, as promised. Overall a good way to see a lot in one day inexpensively. read more

Today, I played tourist. I took the Starline tour bus around Hollywood, Bel Air, Beverly Hills and it was a full 2 hours with Alan, our driver. He is a wealth of information and kept us all entertained throughout the 2 hours. The route was decent. I would have liked to have seen many of the side streets in Hollywood and Beverly Hills, but I suppose the bus doesn't go down the little residential streets with all the cute bungalows.. The bus was open air, but had shelter from the sun. His mic worked well enough that the people in the back could hear him. We got on and off at the Chinese theater, AND then, our receipt got us into the wax museum, where I probably spent 30-40 minutes, looking at all the different celebrities. All in all, it was a nice way to spend the day, and have someone else do the driving. read more

Starline Tours was such an inconvenience to us during our trip to the San Diego Zoo. First of all, we were told the bus would between at 8:15am-8:30am but that we should make sure we're waiting outside by 8:15am. It didn't arrive till 8:50am. After picking others up from various hotels, we were taken to this banquet hall type place where we were to retrieve our tickets. It was cold and rainy out and the lines were SUPER long and went SO slow. It was already an annoyance to us, especially because we were NOT informed of this when we booked the tour bus over the phone. We discovered since we already had vouchers, we were able to wait in the shorter line. That didn't really help because once we got on our bus, we still had to wait for everyone else in the longer lines. We ended up departing at 10:30am. Our ticket said we would be picked up by our driver at 4:45pm. This was odd to be because the lady on the phone said we would be picked up at 7:30pm (wonder why she was so misinformed?). Since we left so late, our driver increased our time at the zoo to 5:45. The driver...was so darn annoying. He kept talking and randomly saying "hello hello" between various words in his sentences. He then kept trying to crack jokes while he was driving (some of them being racist). We just wanted to chill, but he wouldn't stop talking! All the passengers were getting super annoyed but he just wouldn't get the message. To make it worse, he was driving WAY below speed limit. We used our GPS to track the speed, and he was going 40-45 on a 65 MPH road. This made the trip MUCH longer. Also, the bathroom on the bus was filthy. Pee everywhere, no toilet paper, no soap...I just opened the door and walked straight back. Never again. read more

Starline Tours now has an office based out of Anaheim! I recently had the opportunity to tour Madame Tussauds Hollywood, the stars homes, as well as the Warner Brothers Studios. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I am born and raised in Southern California and I have never experienced any of these tours. It really opens your eyes to what Los Angeles and Hollywood is all about! I can't wait to try the TMZ Tour! Others that I know really enjoyed the tour! Another added plus is that they pick-up and drop off from your local Anaheim Hotel! read more

JUST TAKE AN UBER/LIFT. Terrible business. Picked up 45 min late. Did not have room of the bus for 2 adults unless you want to be "close". I've had more room on an airplane. Botched plans. Don't try to go to a park and stay late like Universal studios. Universal closes at 10pm. The bus picks up at 7pm don't be late they won't wait for you. They had a hard time with even the simple things like the number of people in our party and where to pick up from. Our Los Angeles City Tour could not have been better! We saw everything that was promised, and our driver, Greg, knew facts and tidbits that enhanced our tour. On top of that, we were shown additional sites when time permitted. For example, while most of the folks were exploring Rodeo Drive, our driver helped us find the store featured in "Beverly Hills Pawn", because my wife and I are fans of the show. Another passenger was a fan of the "LA Ink" show, so Greg drove us by that shop, while telling fun, interesting stories about the star of that show. We don't watch, yet the stories were riveting. From a purely logistical standpoint, our bus arrived on time, was clean and presentable, the crowd determined the AC vs heat (and Greg was a terrific mediator) so that everyone as happy as possible. It was a great way to spend the day, see different things that we have never had a chance to get to any of the other times we have been there. Our driver Guido was a great driver, very knowledgable and funny. The downfall of our tour was the screaming kid on the bus. He screamed at minimum 5 hours! They should have been asked to leave, even a refund could have been given to offer peace for the rest of the guests on the bus that day! read more

My sisters and I took the 6.5 hour tour in LA of the stars homes and the beaches. The one positive was the driver was knowledgeable and pleasant. However, there were lots of negatives. I would not recommend. Our 6.5 hour tour that was suppose to start at 9:30am and end at 4pm didn't start until 10:30am and ended at 6:20pm. One lady from Australia might have missed her plane back home. 1) Bus was an hour late to arrive 2) Bus dropped us off at Santa Monica pier for a lunch break and set a time for us to be back. Bus moved and was late picking us up again. (10 minutes). 3) He didn't perform a headcount. One of the passengers had called the tours when he wasn't there. The Touring Company called the driver when we had already left. He went back, but the passenger was already on the bus. There was significant lag time between the passenger call and the call to the driver. The passengers then performed headcounts at the next stops. 4) Next stop was Venice Beaches. Public Restrooms were disgusting! This of course isn't Starline's issue. However the next stop was almost 3 hours later without another restroom break. They need to plan a better restroom stop and sooner! 5) Next stop was downtown LA. 6) He is already late getting back but he hops on the 101 for a 3 mile leg in rush hour. He should have taken the side streets rather than sit on a tour bus in that kind of traffic and the Australian lady had already told him that she had a shuttle scheduled for 6pm from her hotel. For us our hotel was not serviced by this tour. We had to ride the Red Line and the MetroLink to get back. We went straight back and it took until 8:15pm to get back. We were hoping to do more sightseeing that day than just a bus tour. But it was February and dark when we got back. read more

We booked a tour to Sea World from Anaheim. We were picked up at our hotel and taken to a drab dingy building to get our tickets and to get on a bus. The small shuttle bus we had was very old, very dirty and all around not comfortable. Seats we so soggy that we could not sit comfortably. Our driver was not friendly and did not speak the entire trip except to say that it would be dark when we would be returning and to be on time to be picked up on our way back. The AC was on so high that we all froze on the bus. OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS AWFUL! BOOK WITH ANYONE ELSE BUT STARLINE, for they are certainly not STARS in the tour industry. Time to get some new buses, a new main office, and some training on customer service! read more

My family of four took the Los Angeles all day star tour. The tour was fine but the bus and driver were terrible. The bus ac didn't work and the temp was over 100 all day long. Also, it was infested with ants. I got bit over 6 times. The driver kept making anti-women jokes. read more

Today I had the opportunity to enjoy the Universal Studios Tour. I could not have chosen a better company to go with. Their bus was clean, comfortable, had reclining seats and an outlets for every seat to charge your devices. Albert was an amazing driver and kept us entertained the whole trip there. Universal Studios tour 2/15/2018 1) Safety of travel was ok. Driver made u-turns twice on streets that I would have never done u-turns on. 2) pickup and drop off was more or less on time. However, stopping at their office after pick up ends up putting you late due to traffic and multiple drop offs arriving at Universal Studios. 3) Driver obviously used English as a second language and was difficult to understand several times. 4) return trip was in anew bus, didn't even have toilet paper. read more

Our actual driver, Guido, was great. But the customer service was horrendous. I booked online for transportation from Anaheim to Universal studios for myself, my husband and two kids for $25pp. I picked the pickup area closest to my hotel. Shortly after booking I received an email from Rebecca confirming our arrangements and I had inquired if they picked up directly from our hotel in Garden Grove. She informed me that in fact they did, but there would be an additional charge of $20pp and pickup would be at 8:30-8:40am outside our hotel lobby and I would pay the additional cost to the driver in the morning. Great. Come the following morning, the shuttle picks us up, but the driver did not want any payment, and we leave our hotel. To my surprise, we go 400ft across the street to the actual star line facility, where we get off the shuttle and go inside and check in. At this point I am in shock. I go inside and go to the window and check in and pay the $80 since the shuttle already picked us up. We go back outside and get on a bigger bus and the more I thought about it, the more livid I became with the situation. Rebecca knew exactly where our hotel was the entire time and not once did she mention that, instead of paying $80 to go 400 feet we could just simply WALK ACROSS THE STREET. Instead she let me believe that the shuttle was coming from another location and it was worth the additional charge. I call and speak with the manager and all he can do is tell me he will put in for a refund request but that doesn't guarantee anything because it was on me since we already got on the shuttle in the morning, which I wouldn't have done had I known it was taking us ACROSS THE STREET. But no one explained that to me because clearly they don't care about ripping people off. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't even do that much with the deceptive business practice they have already shown. I will absolutely never utilize star line tours ever again. read more

The bus was comfortable, it was clean, and we definitely had a great guide. Albert was not only informative, he was funny, and he kept us entertained the whole way. This tour company has a few hiccups but all in all this trip was perfect for my L.A. tour. Our bus driver Albert was incredible. He has the right amount of jokes and knowledge that makes a tour worth while. The check in process was a little weird. You can barley hear the poor woman through the window. The girl at the window Natalie was very nice and thoughtful when making sure we knew where to find the bus, where the restrooms are and even introduced us to Albert. This tour company has a few bad reviews which makes no sense to me. Every place is going to have it's issues but I had way more pros than cons. But that could just be me. Overall I would travel with Starline again and always ask for Natalie at the window and Albert as a guide. read more

So I have to say I will not travel with this organization again. First of all, I was contacted the day before they were to pick us up to take us to Universal Studios to let us know they would be by between 8:15 and 8:30. When by 9:00 they had not been by to pick us up, I called and they had forgotten us. They immediately got someone over to get us. Sounds great right? However I made the reservations well in advance and the friends we were will made them a couple of days beforehand. They not only got picked up on time, but they got to ride on this big luxury bus, while we got this tiny short one. The driver was amazing and got us there quickly, but the company sucked. A few years ago, we rode with one of their competitors and had an amazing trip. I will choose them in the future. read more

We took the Grand Tour of Los Angeles. It was awesome: the tour guide was very knowledgeable and the tour was fun.

I went on the 7hr tour from anaheim to L A and I had a wonderful time. I went 9/19/19 and Big Lou bus 91 was our driver. He was so funny and knowledgeable. Everyone on the bus was so kind. Will use starline again!!! read more

What a bait and switch. Took this tour to universal studios and thought we would leave straight from the hotel (as advertised). But after arriving twenty minutes late, it took us 3-4 blocks down the street and kicked us out at what looks like a deserted hotel. Then after waiting in line to actually get our tickets (served to us by what seems to be at least two children) we're placed on our real bus full of screaming children and smelling like the chemical toilet in the back. Seriously...its a 30 mile trip, why the hell are we using a toilet. Then we have the bus driver who is being way too friendly and hoping that the last (late) bus gets here so we can actually make our way to the park. Were also asked to be back on the bus at 630, about 3 hours before the park closes. Isn't that rush hour? What's the point of leaving early? Oh and the driver just said if hes racist or curses just to ignore him...classy. Edit: Oh god hes trying to be funny (Adman?) He's blowing out the speakers everytime he talks....he just won't shut up... TLDR Take a taxi. read more

The L.A. tour starting from Anaheim really couldn't be any better. The driver who manages the tour is an awesome guide and really has the right amount of experience of the city, it was the most stress-free trip through the freeway system I've ever had. It's definitely plus when the tour guide knows how to spot out famous people too. Note, there are different tours, the one we went on was the main tour that takes a good half day, but definitely covers a lot of good juicy areas across the city. read more

The bus started out 10 minutes late. When we finally got picked up we loaded the dirty bus I sat on urine which penetrated the entire bus still. The driver put a plastic bag so no one sat on it. So far been here 35 minutes he could have cleaned the seat. While he visits outside the bus. A tissue is also hanging from a vent. No light in the bathroom had to lift ceiling tile to get in and out of the restroom. So far not impressed. $220 for this experience never Again!!!! read more

First time user of Star Line Tours Universal studio package from Anaheim, CA. July 9, 2014. Their job is to pick you up from your hotel, transport you to Universal Studios and drop you back off at your hotel. This was not a tour, it was purely transportation only. Pick up was on time, a shuttle picks you up from your hotel and transports you to the tour center in Anaheim. From there you board a bus (#220 and Driver Juan) to Universal studios. Juan was not familiar with the area, had to use a Garman to get to Universal Studios, ate his breakfast while driving. Universal studios was great. The drive back was the problem. Juan had a terrible time dropping off people at their hotel. four different groups had to walk blocks (including my family) to their hotels. he kept making wrong turns ( I assume he wasn't doing it on purpose). It was painfully clear he did not prepare or know where he had to go. The people on the bus had to help him with directions to their hotel. There were a lot of frustrated folks watching him struggle. None of the people where from the area and yet they were doing a better job of navigation that he did. I recommend more training and direct supervision for Juan before giving him another bus load of people. Disney hotel recommended Greyline tours. I'll listen next time. read more

Know your audience. We scheduled a hotel pick up. When I called in the Am, the woman said, just walk across the street to our office.. not an issue, just an observation of her tone.. we are from out of town, so we didn't know it was so close.. our driver was annoying.. every few minutes he would say good morning on the ride to universal studios.. it was early and you could sense the tension of passengers b half hour in... we did not want to spend 80minutes saying good morning, Perhaps less chatter would bring a bigger tip... also the tour is advertised as 9-7. We were not leaving park until 6:15p so there is no way we would be back to Anaheim before 8p. If you had other plans for the night, you would not make it.. we ended up taking an Uber home, as we did have plans that we already paid for, with the assumption, 7 p, meant no later than 7:30. The tour is convenient way to get to universal, but pleasant is not a word I would use. read more

Went on a tour Tuesday....Seems that the manager has no idea what he's doing but thankfully we ended up in the line of a gal Jeniffer I believe, who said she's new but got us through the line much faster than others working there.Very kind and knows what she's doing.Starline- please put her in charge! Not the best tour service it's better to go with Anaheim tour company or lux bus America. Star line picked us up for on San Diego zoo experience but they picked us up from our hotel then went to their headquarters where everybody got off and went inside to either pay or get delegated to their other bus which wasted like an hour. We reached the zoo at 11 and it opens at 9. San Diego zoo was absolutely amazing and we were barely able to finish it but without seeing any shows because if we saw any shows there wouldn't have been a chance to see everything as we left at 5pm. Driver was punctual but not friendly or very organized, I probably will never use this company for a tour again. Oh ya on our way to the zoo we dropped ppl off at sea world which killed more time. We did not enjoy the starline tour around LA city and Hollywood much as the tour guide was not using an efficient microphone in the bus and wasnt stable while driving. The next day we got delayed to go to universal studios due to some bus issues. Though starline mentions they are not responsible if a customer misses the bus, they seemed to go against their policy this time! That was annoying!!! read more

Booked a trip to San Diego Zoo. Picked up from hotel in a beautiful comfy coach. Arrived at ticket confirmation only to be transferred to a small commuter type vehicle. Noisy, bumpy, jerky,and uncomfortable! Took three hours to get to Zoo as had to drop others at two different locations first. After picking us all up, we left San Diego, rush hour, traveling for 50minutes! The driver pulls off freeway, turns around to go back???. He had forgotten two people at Sea World! Four hours to get back! Driver kept pushing the gas, the brake pedal, the gas pedal, etc. the whole trip, even though there were two football fields distance between vehicles. Thought we would have whiplash by the time we arrived. Was like riding thunder mountain railroad for eighty miles. Then the riders in front of us said they were left behind, same tour company, the day before. We didn't even get a an apology from the driver when we got back! I have been on many bus tours, they always check the passenger manifest and count passengers. Not this guy! Never book with them again! read more

We recently engaged Starline Tours out of Anaheim for a couple of business reward events. The first was ok. We loved our driver, Lenny, but the Star's Homes tour is a little lame. You can't actually see the homes because they are surrounded by huge hedges and gates. If you just like to look at beautiful homes, it's a fun ride. The second tour was a disaster. The bus was 2 hours late, yes...2 full hours late, to pick up our group, which made us late for our lunch reservation, which made it too late for the LA City Tour that we had reserved. When we got back on the bus after lunch, we were informed by the driver that we needed to head back to Orange County. I asked if he could point out interesting things on the way, and it turns out the bus was not equiped with any sound equipment. So if the driver pointed something out, one of us in the front 2 rows had to stand and shout it back to the rest of the very large bus. After dropping off our first group, the driver called me up to the front to ask if I could give him any candy or anything, 'to help him concentrate on the road'. That really made us feel safe. After being told by Anne Rowe, the person who put this disaster together that we would not be charged, they did charge me, the FULL PRICE for an 8 hour ride and tour of LA. (remember that the bus was 2 hours late picking us up, and dropped us off early, and we had NO tour of LA). When I called to complain for being charged the full amount, I was told that Anne didn't have the authority to waive charges. I asked to be called by a manager, named Ken, and am still waiting for that call 2 weeks later. I had recommended this company to several other event planners and now have had to go back and tell them what a horrible experience we had. How embarassing to pull your top performers out of the office for a full day, and then have them stand and wait for a bus for 2 hours, and then only get a bus ride to Santa Monica for lunch. I am so disappointed and will tell everyone, and go on every site I can find to post this review. read more

We were on the LA Grand Tour yesterday and was lucky enough to have Albert as our tour guide! He was absolutely amazing. Extremely knowledgeable, funny, intelligent and he really went above and beyond the extra mile for us customers. If I ever come back to LA and take a tour, we will definitely be requesting Albert!!! read more
