First off, the manager is very responsive, friendly, and competent. Second, the place is clean, even the bathroom. What more can one ask of a self storage facility. If there is any fault to be found it is not in the facility but on the street, which is rather badly maintained. Resident Manager Michael Johnson was extremely professional and helpful as we were looking for a place to store our daughters school items for the summer. After learning that we had a daughter that was a student at the University of Arizona, Michael offered us an additional 10% discount. The storage unit was clean, spacious and clean smelling. It was clear that the area was ventilated. We were also comforted to know that Michael lives on property and provides 24/7 security for the facility. Nice storage because everything is inside, so the building itself is air conditioned. Not sure if any storage units are A/C, but I like the privacy and security this complex offers and you can only access your storage during their open hours 7 days a week, so you don't have to worry about it being exposed to the elements or someone trying to break in at 3 in the morning. There is a security guy on premises, and a restroom. Shopping carts and baskets available to haul in or out your stuff. The space is nice for storage and has a light so I can see what I am doing in there. No complaints at all. The only one would be a friend of mine who got space and paid for the month, but then had to move out 5 days later and received no partial refund or anything. I didn't like that. The space sits empty the rest of the month and they can't refund a little? But otherwise, great storage and you can even park an RV or bigger stuff here for an extra fee. read more

I can not say enough about American Self Storage. We needed to rent a unit to store my daughter's things from her dorm room, on short notice due to COVID-19. Everyone was so friendly, kind, and helpful in a very stressful time, especially Mark Becker! The property is well maintained and clean, the units are inside a locked building and are climate controlled, and there are always dollies available to help move the bigger items. I am Furious with AMERICAN SELF STORAGE After almost 5 years of their Dirty Games, I want you all to know, they are not a company who is concerned about their customers or their customer service!!! I asked them today for a refund, since I found out they are double dipping & re-rented my unit. I am not supposed to be out until 6/8, & technically I am paid until 6/15. They could have re-rented on 6/8 (date of my notice) & double dipped at that point with a friendly phone call. I would call that, good customer service!!! I went there today, to sweep it out, so it would be Completely Clean!!! This is one SMALL part of my story with them. The reason I am so ANGRY... There is a manager that took over for them at the Roger & Limberlost location. That guys name is Mark. When mark took over, he decided I was behind a month, so he double charged me one month!!! I was never able to get him to reverse that! I made him stop auto payments, after that. Then, he started them again without my authorization!!! I paid extra to store there, because I have collector Barbies & because they are "climate controlled". That means they are indoors & they have fans!!! I had a leak in my unit, so a couple of my Barbie boxes were messed up. I did tell them about the leak, but I wasn't going to complain about ANYTHING, UNTIL TODAY. I would have been happy with $10-$15 and a nice Mark. Please Don't store your valuables with a place like that. 1) They Are Not Climate Controlled, 2) They Don't Care About Customers, 3) They DO NOT RESPECT YOUR MONEY OR 4) YOUR ACCOUNTS I am sure I could say more, but my dogs are ready for dinner. read more

what a scam is said that they're open till 10 p.m. when really they close at 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 5 p.m. on Sunday for most people we get off work at 5 or 6 p.m. making it so that you literally have no days to get there and it's not because of covid that they lied because when I asked them they said our gates are open till 10 but the storages are closed at 5 or 6 so they knowingly false advertised to get more business that's f***** up $150 down the drain read more

Overall a good place but had a very bad customer service experience today. Storing RV there for my parents who live in the midwest. He assured us that he would send an invoice via email and took the email the day we opened our account. About a month later my mom did not receive an invoice so she had to call them in order to get the billing information and find out about the email invoice. He then sent the email invoice and my mom dropped a check in the mail. I was meeting a person there to show the RV for sale and my code was deactivated and he would not let me in even though the person came from out of town to see the unit. I understand not allowing access if legitimately overdue but when it is your fault for not sending an invoice as promised and considering the circumstances - very poor customer service and bad business practices. read more
