With casting materials and mold materials there are so many choices from so many suppliers it can be a challenge at times to find the right path to get the results you want. Laurie at Reynolds in Tempe just has it down where the guess work is at a real minimum. Not every project or job is a 1,2,3, to finish operation, so anything that takes out the error and saves you money is a bonus in my book and Reynolds does just that. Oh yeah, be ready to gawk for a while if you're a creator, because your choices and tools available at Reynolds far exceeds many of the suppliers I used while working in Hollywood.

For something marketed as a workshop, I expected more hands-on teaching. The Turkish delight and tea were a nice touch, very good, in fact, but they didn't arrive until nearly the end of the session, which felt oddly timed. On top of that, the project itself is more than you can realistically finish in the allotted time, so you end up taking it home to complete. I'm glad I did it once because I got to share the experience with friends, but next time we'll probably just buy the supplies and figure it out ourselves. So cool! And the person receiving it can wind it back up & pay it forward to another friend or fam member.
