EASILY my favorite company I've ever done business with in the Valley!…read more I had a unique situation with getting a two stage whole home water filtration system added to my existing salt water softener. Brian was so knowledgeable and passionate when he came out to talk about my home's existing plumbing. When we bought the house in 2022, it was called out on our inspection report that the polyethylene piping from the main to our home should be replaced. After talking with Brian, I felt so good getting CWS to replace and redo the poly with good old copper. Michael came out a few days later and did a beautiful job installing all the copper plumbing and two stage water filtration system that includes the water pressure gauges and bypass valves (which are great to have for servicing and/or if something bad happens in the future). I highly recommend everyone get the psi pressure gauges installed ESPECIALLY with the valley having higher water pressure right now with the ongoing construction needs (which I'll talk about next). After Michael completed his job, the city of Phoenix replaced my water meter. Turns out my old water meter near the street had a leak to it. Once the water meter was replaced I noticed the psi on the gauges climbed to 100-110 (depending upon time of day). For those that don't know, plumbing likes to be in the 50-70 psi range. Anything above 90 and you should really get a plumber out to look at your pressure reducing valve (PRV). While my pressure was high, I noticed my backyard irrigation system was EXTREMELY powerful! The way the water from the main gets teed off between inside of my house and backyard pool + irrigation needs, it was obvious city of Phoenix replacing water meter was the culprit. Whenever a water meter gets replaced, they don't do a good job keeping it clean installing it where sediment will often get into the line and cause PRVs to fail. That's what happened with mine where CWS came out the next day and replaced both of my PRVs with Kyle doing a great job as well. Now, my water pressure is sitting nicely at 70 psi. I like my pressure on the higher side of that 50-70psi Lofty review but I really loved having this company update my plumbing and install the whole home 20" big blue water filtration system! They really do care about customers AND the work they do. There's a VERY GOOD reason their reviews are 5/5 on Google and Yelp! Can't beat their prices too that are VERY transparent! Great payment options and warranty as well! Also, I like the products they use since it's NOT relegated to a single manufacturer. Will recommend them to everyone.

And, the price was better than competitor offerings. Our 20-year old softener had a sloppy installation with the connection loop going at an angel. On July 15 of 2026 I had American home and water come out after a storm and diagnosed two of my…read moremini splits, one of which they installed in 2025 so it's still under warranty and keep in mind labor is not under warranty and that's fine. It was a call in the evening not too late around 8 PM and a technician came out and she quickly diagnosed that one of my systems was the outdoor fan and the other one was the compressor. I did not agree with her diagnosis and so I had another company come out and they diagnosed it differently and I told the American home and water what the diagnosis was and had them come out and do a second opinion and they said you're right it is the control board. Please keep in mind that this unit is under warranty and it has been almost a full month and I've had one call made to me about the status of the warranty claim and the replacement part and in the meantime, I went with another company to have this repaired under warranty. Two reasons I'm writing this review; number one the technician that diagnose my systems was completely wrong originally and I was able to get it fixed quickly using another company and while I'm still waiting for this company to be in contact with me about the replacement part under warranty. I hate writing this because they've had great service early on and it's a disappointment that their customer service is now what's making me write this. I had to call three times originally to get an update.

We have used Ben Franklin here in the valley for years. But our last experience with them has…read morereally lowered my opinion of the company. Not the plumbers, but the company they work for. Very slimy. First, we had a small flood. Called Ben Franklin to come out and fix the cause of it. At that point they tried to tell us that EVERY SINGLE valve in our 2 year old, built from scratch, home was bad and had to be replaced to the tune of around $10,000. Seriously? Then some restoration company shows up at our home while the plumber was still there without us even asking for it and tries to tell us that we need a MAJOR restoration due to water damage. Again, all crap. Sent him packing, had the house inspected to make sure we had no water damage and of course, we didn't. the restoration company quoted us $80,000 without even blinking and eye. Come on. Third, Ben Franklin sent some company, Mr. Sparky, out to do some free electrical inspection (without our knowledge) and this company tells us our main panel isn't grounded, but he can fix that for $2,000. If Ben Franklin is associating with this company who are clearly just trying to rip people off, I say DON'T USE THEM!!! And even they had dollar signs in their eyes when they were here. Just SLIMY.
