They didn't turn on the pool to see if it was running properly. When I turned it on antifreeze came gushing out of the salt water cell because it wasn't attached properly. They also did not hook up the hose to drain off the excess water. I had gone out and asked them to just not turn on the salt cell but run the pool. When I called service the woman there was very dismissive and told me I would be billed if they came back. This is not service. More like highway robbery. Just lucky my dogs didn't get to the antifreeze that came gushing out!!

All were were quality products that were reasonably priced compared to their competition. Just recently I had a bearing problem with an old Hayward Super Pump. I brought it in at 11am, and was called at 5pm because the bearing had been replaced, the unit was tested and ready for pick up. North Eastern will continue to get my business.

Also, my neighbor purchased a pool from them recently and has not been able to use it, because she can't get the ladder in it correctly. Petis contracted out the installation (they do not install themselves unless it is an inground pool) and neither the contractor or Petis will send anyone out to install the ladder and make sure her pool is step up properly and her pool usable.

Unfortunately, my experience with the service department has been very different. We recently had a few minor issues and requested maintenance. After scheduling and paying for a cleaning service, our credit card was charged, but we have yet to receive any communication about when the service will be performed. Multiple attempts to get updates have been met with little to no response. The lack of communication, concern, and attention to customer requests from Pettis has been extremely disappointing. For a company that installed a significant investment like our pool, I expected much better customer service and follow-through. At this point, I'm seriously second-guessing whether I want to continue using them for future pool service and maintenance.

I'm the daughter-in-law of someone they just worked with, and I was appalled that they waltzed inside without masks and ignored my mother-in-law as she handed her husband a mask. They have a large garage door next to the main entrance and it's often open, letting in the fresh air and great for convenience. If my company orders ahead, they usually have my supplies all ready go to on the store floor. The reason I don't give them 5 stars is one of the main guys behind the counter has ZERO customer service skills! Not very friendly, begrudgingly "helpful", it's as if he's upset you're even there. I thought about giving 2 stars because of him, however the store itself is good. Get rid of this guy and it would be a fantastic place. Also the staff, (usually only 2, which includes the guy above) isn't very helpful. One of the younger guys is, but the customer service takes a huge hit with grumpy behind the counter.
