I remodeled my bathroom about 8 years ago. I was looking for a shower pan that was higher quality than what Home Depot or Lowes sales I wasn't sure what I was looking for though. Some Google search showed American Marble. I called them, and they were very helpful. Even though the store was about 70 miles from me, I drove in to see samples and placed an order. A week or two later, I picked up the pan. It was HEAVY and sturdy! Exactly what I was looking for. 8 years later, the pan has held up very well. No visible wear and tear signs at all. We order culture onyx panels for our bathrooms several years ago. My sister also did the same. The onyx has yellowed. It was supposed to be white on white. We were told it would not discolor and just to use gel coat for cleaning. I have reached out in emails and text. Never got a response until I said I will go to yelp. Carl stated he would research it on Nov. 30th Never heard back. Now he is stating he can't find invoice. All I am asking why its yellowed after 1 yr and what I can use to remove the yellow. We spend thousands of dollars on the product to get a ugly yellow bathrooms. My sister has 3 bathrooms and I have 2 that we purchased walls, sinks and counters. I would never buy this again or deal with someone who can't respond or help to resolve Issue. Bad customer service and product. read more

My sister and I bought culture onyx several years ago. The onyx has turned yellow and have tried to reach out many times with no response . We spend alot to have this done and did not expect product to yellow. Unable to get yellowing out. Never used any product except gel gloss like I was told at the beginning. Just had a white on white cultured marble countertop with integrated sink installed in my very dated bathroom. It looks great! This is a rental and the cultured marble really updated the bathroom without breaking the bank. Aaron, the installer did a wonderful job. FYI, had a cultured marble shower surround installed by American Marble in 1991 and it still looks good. I polish the marble between tenants and have only re-caulked the panels twice in 28 years. Bought the custom built shower stall set (Shower pan, Walls and other accessories). Like the end product a lot. Be aware, if you are choosing anything other than default color (white, I think), usually it takes 10 days. The owner was clear that it will take ~10 days but he will try to get few days earlier. My wife is a clean freak. She doesn't want the joint break between the countertop and the sink. Our contractor took us to American Mable in San Jose for the integrated sink. We selected the white sink with onyx marble top. The material is excellent and it has a seamless sink with the countertop. My wife was very happy with the product and it is easy to clean. read more

We live in the south bay and were looking for a cultured marble shower pan. We were on a tight schedule. We went to several different stores in Santa Clara and San Jose. Most of them were just selling other people's products and generally took a week to get anything. We called American Marble and they gave us a very good quote and said they could "make it tomorrow." Ah! No more middleman. We took this quote to some of the local stores and they said they could not match this price because their supplier charged them more than this wholesale! So sight unseen, we ordered the pan from American Marble. They made it fast and even arranged for us to pick it up on a Sunday (since we had to drive an hour to get it, it wasn't very convenient for us). It was just what we expected for ~$100 less than anybody else on a faster schedule than anybody else. read more

I live in the Martinez area and I have been working on remodeling a bathroom. My wife was concerned that it would take a long time and she wouldnt have the use of her bath when she wanted it. We live in South Bay and need two shower pans. We have called many places and most of them take 1-2 weeks to have the product ready. This place delivers the products the NEXT DAY. They offer very professional service and good price. They even deliver the products to our place in South Bay with reasonable extra charge. We were worried about the quality of the products since we never visited the store or saw the sample prior making the order. We just received the products today and are very satisfied. We needed a bathroom vanity top and a few other pieces in cultured granite on short notice. Carl, the owner, did an outstanding job meeting our tight time table. The prices are reasonable and listed on their web page, and a lot cheaper than at Ordaz Marble in Concord. The products look good and all the key dimensions are perfect. I would go to this business again without reservations. The reasons why Carl lost one star: he does not do installations, so you need to do it yourself or have a contractor who will do it. So I screw up, and break a piece of my shower enclosure made of cultured marble.... who do you call? After a few head butts, I locate American Marble in the phone book. I'm not excited about this, because it is the worst way to look... you never know what you'll get. Owner Carl Fischer put my mind to rest.... "Bring in the pieces, we should be able to mix up a batch of marble to match yours." 2 days and $44 later, I had a replacement piece and contractor grade silicon for the installation. I have a american Marble horror story to tell you. I ordered a cultured marble shower and vanity top in white with brown vainning. The top and walls turned out very bad and I complained.Carl responded the same way he did when I ordered it with not saying anything and refusing to make it right. This color is not easy to make and with his only one employee it was a mess. I'm a contractor that ordered alot from him and know how it should come out.I went for two months with no bathroom. I told him what I was going through and he responded the same way with no contact and leaving me sleepless and stressed out.I asked for my money back and he refused. Finally he said he would remake the order.I picked a new color that I thought would be easier for him to make.A few weeks after the choice was made I still had nothing, He lied to me on the phone constant and said it was being made.Finally i got desperate and just started asking for white with white vainning, thinking it would be easier to make. Finally I got it installed. The sink top is solid white with no vainning. The shower has very light vainning all white, they don't match. I paid extra for color. I'm very unhappy with the finish product and would not recommend them.I think Carl is old and bitter and should retire.I worked so hard on my bathroom and spent alot of money and time on it and american marble made a mess of it. I feel like I was robbed and now have to look at this mess for my whole life. I may see him in court. read more
