Our drinks never sat empty and our dirty dishes were promptly cleared. I ordered 10 traditional wings with ranch and carrots. I picked 5 mild and 5 garlic parmesan. Honestly, this garlic parmesan was probably the best I've ever had. They put garlic butter on the wings and then sprinkle parmesan cheese over them. This is so different than most parmesan garlic sauces and I was very happy with it. The pricing seemed fair for a small town as well. You also get a basket of popcorn as soon as you sit down which was perfect to snack on. Overall, nothing special but I felt the wings were great.

We also had the white pizza and buffalo quesadilla with the sweet hot sauce. Both were very good. When we walked in, it was clearly a sports bar and they give you popcorn when you are seated. Plenty of televisions to watch whatever sporting event may be happening at the time. There were plenty of tables in the dining area and what appeared to be a whole other seating area at the bar and behind to main seating area. Overall, a pleasant experience.

So I need to say right off the bat, three stars is an average score. I'd give them a 5 for food and…read more1 for service. Ambiance is rustic country if that's your thing. We spent 2 hours here, with only 15 minutes of that actually eating our food. They were not that busy for a Friday night dinner hour. Two other tables were there when we walked in. Four more came in after us. Not a rush by any stretch of your imagination. Yet we waited to be acknowledged and never actually got a menu. Fortunately we had known going in what we wanted. Three of us ordered the exact same thing. Beer battered fish sandwiches with two pierogis as a side. One jalapeño cheese the other potato cheese. The fourth person ordered wings and the same pierogis as a side. We probably waited a good 30 minutes for the food after ordering. First out were the wings and fish sandwiches. We had asked for tartar sauce and cocktail sauce when we ordered. There was none. Just a bare piece of fish on a bun. They said the pierogis would be right out. When they came there were only 3 of the 4 sides we ordered and we had no silverware to eat them with. So we couldn't eat the sandwiches which were getting cold or the pierogis. I got up and asked the waitress for silverware and she brought 2 forks. There were 4 of us! I found out that I actually had two of the same, potato cheese pierogis. I had ordered one potato cheese and one jalapeño cheese. I guess they ran out of pierogis. Since they were out of pierogis, Mac and cheese was substituted. Then I got up again and got two more forks and 4 knives from the wait station myself. Finally the condiments came and we could eat the sandwiches. All in all the food was delicious. Some of the best wings around and the fish sandwiches were really good on a nice soft, warm bun. The homemade pierogis were worth the wait. Jumbo sized filled with cheese and served with nicely caramelized onions. Fifteen more minutes went by after finishing our meal before we were asked if we needed anything else. Just the check and we decided it was best to pay in cash or else wait 20 more minutes to use a credit card. If you go, be prepared to WAIT for everything!

We were visiting my in-laws for a longer stay this time so we had the chance to explore more…read morerestaurants in the area. Our aunt mentioned Carmine's Pizza & Pasta so we decided to give it a try. When we arrived, the restaurant was packed. We later realized it was the day of the St. Patrick's Day parade so many people seemed to stop by afterwards. We noticed a lot of tables enjoying pizza but since we had just had pizza the day before, we decided to try some other dishes. We started with the Fried Cheese "Formaggio Fritto". The menu mentioned that it was made with aged provolone which is why we ordered it but it tasted more like mozzarella to us. Because of that, it wasn't quite what we expected. I ordered the Lump Crab Fettuccine with marinara sauce. The marinara was sweeter than I personally prefer and I didn't notice much crab flavor in the dish. My husband tried one of the polenta dishes since we don't often see polenta offered at Italian restaurants. We originally thought the polenta itself would be baked but it seemed that only the top was baked. We prefer polenta that's crispy on the outside so it wasn't exactly what we had in mind. The sauce on top was also on the sweeter side, though it paired better with the polenta. One thing we have to mention is the portion sizes. They were incredibly generous! My husband ended up getting about four meals out of his polenta dish. We also ordered tiramisu to go which was sweeter than we prefer but enjoyable with a nice espresso flavor. I almost feel bad writing this review because the staff were extremely nice and friendly. Overall, I think the flavors just didn't quite match our personal taste but we appreciated the great service and generous portions.

The food and service were just as amazing as the first time but this time I tried the house made salad dressing! Luckily they bottle it so I have 2 to bring back home. Here's hoping they start bottling that marinara! If you're in the area stop in to this amazing little eatery you won't be disappointed.
