We had an amazing dinner. We had celebrated our 40th Anniversary. You must have a reservation. It is pricey but the food is scrumptious.

Not many steak houses around that take you back in time with decor of the 50's. I'd love to give this former speakeasy 5 stars, but for steak dishes to get 5 stars you need to be right on! My wife has always been happy with the filet steaks, but I've had either ribeye's or t-bones that did not hit the 5 star mark. Enjoy some time at the bar before dinner. They prepare great Martini's! They are also known for their wedge salad with house dressing and added crumbled blue cheese...you cannot go wrong. All in all we have been very happy with this place and their friendly and personal service. We highly recommend this place. About the decor...don't change a thing. It is always an experience to stop here and step back in time.

Excellent steak with a very good and flavorful demiglaze. Appetizers were well prepared and tasty. Relaxed atmosphere.

Steaks are delicious, the drinks are stiff, and the service is wonderful! Such an awesome spot for a nice dinner in a historic building

I had read reviews on Google - looked for a top-rated restaurant near McCabe Funeral Home in Ligonier. - SO happy we tried !! Shane was great as our bartender/server (decided to enjoy bar seating vs dining room seating). Tuesday is live entertainment night ! bonus !! Awesome berry martini cocktail w local farm-made blueberry lemonade;). Had the HOT , delicious and hearty sherry mushroom soup as starter ( next time I buy a quart to take home ) I had the Thai shrimp and scallops - VERY tasty and nicely presented! My husband had the caesar salad w added seared tuna ( he had leftovers ). No room for dessert today. I already know what I'm ordering next time I visit ! The one hour 15 minute drive east will be totally worth it !!! Owner ?? Stopped by to see how we enjoyed our visit and expressed her gratitude for us stopping. Lovely time

Our server, Lynn greeted us and seated us in the dining room. She gave us menus and took our drink orders. We were thinking about an appetizer however, we saw cake delivered to a nearby table. The server described them and we both thought to skip the appetizer and save room for desserts. So, we went directly into the main course. The pork tenderloin with pierogis and Brussels sprouts. And a wagyu smash burger with fries. WOW! Delicious. We can easily recommend both dinners. And the menu has many more choices worthy of a great dinner. Our server, Lynn was attentive and made our dinner enjoyable. Thank you very much. BTW, after dinner we were so full however, we took the Goose Cake and Pumpkin Bundt Cake home for later.

My daughter treated me to lunch In a private dining treehouse for my birthday this year. What a…read morelovely way to spend an afternoon! Upon entering we saw a "Happy Birthday" sign and were greeted by two lovely servers. A first bite was served while we waited for our cocktails . It was a chunk of very sweet watermelon on a wooden coaster. Next came some delicious bread with a leek butter. My daughter added the 4 shot cocktails to our experience and they were fun! Jell-O shots elevated quite a bit. Our appetizer was chef's choice which was burrata with grilled eggplant, peaches, greens and baguette. All so good! We enjoyed some extra cocktails from the menu, a blackberry mojito and a white Negroni with the appetizer. Then the entrees came along. I got the wild mushroom ravioli and she got the Faroe Islands salmon. This was the only part of the meal you had a choice in and you have to advise them ahead of time what you would like to eat as the main course. The final course was a creme brûlée serves in a 4 ounce mason jar. All in all, excellent quality of food and service with reasonable portions. We did not leave hungry. The screened in dining pod itself was very comfortable. It was a pleasant summer day so we did not need the fan or the heater which was available. They are nestled in the woods and sunshine peeks through the trees for a most serene dining experience. I commented that even if it were raining, you would be comfortable due to the design of the pods. There is a wide overhang so the rain wouldn't bother you coming in through the screens. If you are looking for a unique way to celebrate or just want to feel one with nature, this is an excellent option to consider. I highly recommend trying one out!

On the plus side , the treetop room made for an intimate and cozy dining experience . Ambience - 9. Our server was pleasant and efficient without being intrusive in any way - Service - 9. First let me say that I have no issue paying hundreds of dollars for a quality meal that is unusual, creative, innovative, tasty, - one that each course brings WOWs and other high praise. The 4+ course meal didn't come close. The Amuse bouche was good , but nothing special. The appetizer consisted of shrimp ceviche in a lettuce wrap along with a 1 inch wedge of watermelon - tasty , but nothing I haven't experienced elsewhere just as good or better. The salad - a split romaine topped with a slice of watermelon radish ( tasteless) a sprig of fennel, and shaved parmesan cheese . The dressing was home made but tasted like it was straight out of a bottle. Creative ? - Hardly ! For main course ( which must be selected days in advance ) - my wife's salmon was a generous filet on a bed of parmesan risotto ( gummy ). A very small amount of glaze that was not recognizable. I chose the Sous vide pork tenderloin. - A single 4 inch by 3/8 inch medallion with a fruit sauce served over a serving of tasteless smashed potatoes . Side dish for both meals was 3 sliced carrot pieces steamed and again tasteless. My meal arrived barely luke warm and over cooked - I assume it was plated and waited for my wife's salmon to finish. Dessert was crème brulee ! Plain creme brulee. To charge hundreds of dollars for a fine dining experience and then have the chef literally sleep walk through the entire menu and meal is unforgiveable. Our local culinary school provides a better culinary experience and menus at one third the cost of the Treetops .

The prepared items cover everything from prepared deli salads and cheese to hot sauces and pickles to locally processed meat. I'm not into the butcher aspect, but I appreciate the local and sustainable sourcing. The food is good and well thought out. The space is very nicely designed and well maintained. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I especially appreciated that they were willing to prepare a breakfast sandwich for me and my partner with the ham on the side. Everybody won, with me getting a vegetarian breakfast sandwich and my partner getting some sliced ham to add to her portion. All told, this is an excellent establishment for a low key outing while you're visiting Ligonier. The hours are extensive, so it fills just about any breakfast/lunch/snack type need. It honestly has the feel of an early stage Starbucks with a friendly "enjoy this space with friends" vibe combined with a hip local grocery store.

And my sausage, egg and cheese sandwich was fantastic. Fresh eggs, huge piece of sausage, great roll and very nicely seasoned. It might be the best I've ever had. Coffee was very good as well. I don't get the all the negative reviews but I guess people around these parts have different expectations. I'd come back here in a heartbeat.
