Because I work 2nd shift, this entailed coming over at 9:30 PM. When the reset attempts failed, I found a replacement on-line; when it arrived, Andre again came by at 9:30 to install it. Got it hooked up and started pushing the igniter button, which promptly broke! Unfazed, he removed the igniter button from the old unit and replaced it. When he tried to button everything up, things just wouldn't go together. Upon review, although externally identical, the circuit boards within were not the same, preventing the replacement from installing. Once again, Andre simply swapped old for new, and in a matter of 30 minutes, we once again had hot water! He also did a great job of repairing a broken fence that had separated, as well as fixing the wonky gate which never locked; it needed a bit of strapping and welding. Gate now works like a charm! I'll be taking all my home repair issues here; his wife, Mandy, does all kinds of yard services as well. Give them a try; you'll not be disappointed, I gar-on-tee!

Our front doors were in serious need of restaining and we asked around and had a few quotes but one…read moreonly worked on new and previously unstained door, some were quite pricey, and some would do the staining if the doors were cleaned and prepped. We contacted Handy Pro and sent them photos as well as a description of the Fiberglass doors and got what seemed a reasonable quote. The temperature needed to be at least 40 degrees for re-staining. On Monday, 02/24/2020, thanks to the near 50-degree weather, we were able to proceed. The original flakes needed to be stripped off first. From start to finish, it took Mark Widmaier of HandyPro three hours to get the job done. Mark was very professional and focused on getting the job done right. He even had us closely examine the finished job to point out any areas or spots needing touch ups. We're quite pleased with the result. (We did need to leave the doors slightly ajar until bedtime but was well worth the inconvenience.) Before-and-after photos of fiberglass doors are posted. Of course, durability is important and we obviously won't know about that for a number of years. Handy Pro has experienced skilled trades that can tackle pretty much anything you could need for your house. Mark himself has many skills beyond prepping and staining a door. I'm attaching a photo showing my new oven that they installed - It wasn't seated properly the first time (wasn't flush to cupboard / wasn't screwed in) so they came back to "fix" it and now it has significantly damaged my wall.... And - I live in Northville. I've updated my Yelp Profile but it still shows California. ********UPDATE to response below: The lower oven door was not tested for function prior to the handyman leaving after he seated it the second time around (due to it never being attached initially with the screws provided with the oven.) I don't often use the lower oven so I didn't notice right away. And... my calls after that were unanswered. This situation is absolutely NOT due to wear over the years. It happened the FIRST time I opened the oven door. And yes, wouldn't it have been nice to communicate directly?
