We had a very good short one hour stay on our way to Bogota, Colombia. The check-in was quick and easy. We were lucky as this Centurion lounge can get busy vey quickly. In terms of size this is a medium sized lounge. So you may have to wait before entry. The food buffet is prepared by a collective of local chefs and frankly fairly good. The focus is on healthy and organic food; which I like. Service was exceptional, bringing drinks to our table. The ambiance is relaxed and comfortable.

Bet you won't get better food at any other lounge or restaurant at this airport. Not as conveniently located while traveling domestically but with all the terminals connected, it ain't that bad if you plan well. Just be aware you can only enter 3 hours before your departure time and sometimes it can have a wait - but not that bad for the most part.

Standard Centurion Lounge, which means quality. Was a bit busy as it filled to capacity mid day. Excellent food and service, best of the airport clubs. Severs were very pleasant and would go get you drinks as requested.

I liked the Centurion lounge at IAH but it has negatives. The first negative is the location. You need a guide to find it. It is also a windowless club which is not so inspiring. The food was consistent with most lounges. Service was friendly. I found that it often reaches capacity and there is a group of people on this desolate hallway waiting.

First time utilizing the Centurion Lounge at IAH. It's buried in Terminal D but if you have a flight in terminal c it's a brief 10-15 minute walk. Caution: you only have ten minutes to get here once you receive the text. I barely made it as I was at gate C3. I don't realize you could wait in front of the lounge but if you have nothing else to do that's a possibility. I got tired of waiting during the govt shutdown so went for a walk when I got the text. Overall it took about 1 hour. Checkin was easy. The food was decent, on par with other Amex lounges I've been to. The bar is always nice and there was WiFi and plenty of seating available.

Lounge itself Needs a refurbish or a location change. The older lounges have been refurbished, expanded or both. The menu has to be changed as well. For the past 4 years, a chicken dish that is really bland is still on the menu Current staff is not as friendly, Sunday noon time. I requested for service and was greeted with a shift change response Quite disappointed at this time

Gotta show love to my hometown Centurion Lounge. The staff is always busting their tails to turn tables, sling drinks, refill hot foods... Use your Amex app to get on the waitlist (if there is one, which is almost-always the case these days).

I love cleanliness and great service and got both. The staff was attentive and accommodating. I thought at 6 am there would be plenty of space. While the lounge is roomy, there was a line..lol The breakfast was soo good. My favorite were the plantain pancakes. I also had lunch there and flight a week later. The Thai soup was the star that day.

One of the best things about the AMEX platinum cards are the Centurian lounges! They are great and a money saver when traveling with the family and this has great healthy food options , full bar, great coffee and clean restrooms. Enjoyed a light salad with green goddess dressing and a little relaxation pre flight and post work meeting! Such a great option for travel!

This lounge is always full, but get in the virtue line and you'll get a code when they are ready for you. Standard hot food bar with cookies for dessert. Seating is really hit or miss, but if you can get a seat by the bar or at the tables near the bar, someone will come take your drink order. Overall a standard Centurion lounge.

There will most likely be a wait when you get here. If you can recommend getting in line on the app vs in person. We got in after about 15-20 minutes, and it was extremely crowded and congested. We found very seating and took what we could. I was there during lunch time and the food was actually pretty delicious. I got some Greek style chicken with white rice and green beans. They also had a salad bar, which I didn't try but my dad enjoyed. I was surprised they only had chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Other lounges I've been to have a had a dessert bar or at least a couple options. This was my first time at the centurion lounge. I went as my dad's guest and he had to pay $50. This was a pretty ordinary lounge and wasn't anything special here. Not worth the $50 for an additional guest. I've heard other centurion lounges are much nicer, but the Houston one isn't all that great.

Tiny. Overcrowded. A wait of more than 20 minutes to get in. Very disappointing. Not really worth the money, especially if you often plan to use the IAH club.

This lounge is on the small side, but I was able to find a seat with no problems. The staff are very friendly and attentive. They also had very delicious French toast. I found out they have a meditation room and a sleep room. I didn't use either, but a nice addition!

Food is always much better than other airline lounges. The main issue is that it's always so busy and hard to find a seat to eat

Is the lounge easily accessible or close to Terminal E? That's where I'll be flying into/out of. (The map shows it's close but you never know the logistics of it)…

It's very off-putting BUT at least they are an alternative option for when the American Express Centurion lounge is at capacity, which happens way too often. The lounge is far from premium and offers little to nothing but seating and beverages. The food offering is usually sandwiches, cold pasta and some pastries, along with fruit. The few times I've been here, all I had was some tea and fruit. It isn't spacious either but again, at least they are an option. I stopped by both KLM and Air France and the food was identical - same pasta salad, leafy salad, two sandwiches, plastic-wrapped chocolate chip cookie... The lounge prioritizes their own airline customers and offer better hot food options for their own. If you happen to get there when they're about to reopen for Priority Pass, wait in line - it get long quick! I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, but if I happened to be at the airport early and had some time to kill, it was maybe $15-20 saved in free basic food and straightforward to get to especially with the post-security air tram.

I even lost my Yelp elite status for 2026, but that won't keep me from sharing, just makes me sad. I'm hoping for a better year in 2026...so here is my first review for the year! I am trying to put 2025 behind me and I am starting off the year with a trip. To my surprise we were blessed with an upgrade of which I am forever grateful and we got access to the Polaris Lounge. What a wonderful place to kick back and relax before a long flight! I've only been in the regular United Club up to now, and I have always been curious. They are similar, but a lot less crowded. There is plenty of cozy seating with different options from tables to lounge chairs. There is a buffet like the regular United Club, with snacks and drinks. Plus, there is a bar. In addition to the items like the regular Club, there is a sit down restaurant inside as well where you can order off a special menu if you don't want to go to the buffet (no worries, no extra cost). Moreover, just about all the seating areas have a charging station (of course, if you sit at a regular table there isn't any). The staff is super friendly from the time you check in to the time you leave. They make you feel seen and special. If you have access, I highly recommend to take advantage and relax...even for a few minutes. Thank you United for helping me to hopefully have a better year ahead.

Turned out to be a great decision. The Polaris Lounge was clean, well appointed and quieter. But, the best part was the service. Stephanie welcomed us and when I asked for some guidance, kindly explained how everything worked, where the food was, bathrooms, etc. She arranged for wheelchair service to pick us up and we found a spot to sit and relax. Unfortunately, the seats, while mid century modern beautiful were med century modern incredibly low. We did find some chairs at a table that were more comfortable Thomas helped us clean up a small mess, very graciously and professionally. He also provided additional friendly guidance but in a very helpful way. Eating was a bit of the a challenge but thankfully, every dish was labeled for potentially problematic ingredients! Awesome! All the entrees contained dairy. So, I got some salami, cranberries, sunflower seeds and roasted beans. It went well with my lame stomach and I enjoyed several servings during our multi hour wait. Jason, the chef, came out and served vegan beans and carnitas along with various fixings. He was very helpful working around dietary restrictions and friendly also. Coffee was Italian Lilly brand which makes very nice espresso. I wouldn't say we are experts but this was a very nice lounge experience! Thanks United Polaris! Life is good with a comfortable layover.

Nice views of the planes and runways. Food selections are limited - a couple of hot dishes, a couple of salads, some mini sandwiches, lemon bars and chocolate chip cookies for dessert, and the ubiquitous cheese and crackers. I tried a mini club sandwich, pasta in a creamy sauce with sausage, and dessert. Everything I tried tasted good, though I typically never eat the cheese and crackers. There are no self-serve beverages here other than water and coffee (the club in C North is the only one with a soda machine). However, soda (and alcohol, of course) were available from the friendly bartender. Despite its large size, this lounge can get crowded - all of the United Clubs in Houston do, although the E lounge is usually not as bad as the two Terminal C clubs (the C south one had a line out the door when I walked by). The first time I approached the Terminal E lounge, the classic "currently not accepting one-time passes" sign was up, but I came back about an hour later and the sign was gone and I was in. (Yes, I know I'm part of the overcrowding problem with my United Explorer card, but I mostly just have it for the Group 2 boarding. The lounge passes are just a side benefit).

I asked if we could simply pay for the popcorn, but she said payment wasn't the issue -- they just didn't have enough food. What confused me was that there were no posted signs explaining item limits or any guidance about restrictions. Clear communication upfront would have prevented the misunderstanding. We also asked if we could use the microwave and were told no again, which added to the frustration. We donated $25 during our visit, and when I mentioned it, we were told that donation funds cannot be used to purchase additional food. That was surprising to hear. When the shift changed, the new volunteers were very polite and welcoming. However, by that point we felt uncomfortable and chose to leave without escalating the situation. The older woman working the baggage service desk was less than helpful and unnecessarily confrontational. When I asked for assistance regarding my checked bag after changing to an earlier flight, she told me it was "my job to know the baggage rules" and that she didn't want to help because she didn't want to risk getting fired. She stated, "United is looking for ways to fire the older people," which was both unprofessional and concerning. I'm just needing help with my families bags. She continued on and on how I should know the fine print before switching the flights and there's nothing she can do, which seemed like a cop out for being lazy. Earlier, United gate agents in SLC had asked for volunteers to move to an earlier flight due to delays out of Salt Lake City. We were told our bags would make the flight and, if not, they would be delivered. Based on that information, we agreed to switch flights. At baggage claim, instead of helping resolve the situation, she criticized how I keep my claim tickets stickers stuck on the back of my passport wallet. I store them on the back of my passport wallet (not on my passport itself), and I had to show her this after she questioned me about it saying it wasn't allowed on the passport. Why this was even a conversation I'm not sure, but I'm a seasoned traveler. I ultimately called customer service myself, and within 10 minutes they arranged luggage delivery without issue. United, if customer service is truly a priority, this is not the standard that should represent your baggage service team. Makes me want to cancel both our credit cards and fly a different airline.
