Always nice to escape the airport crowd with an Admirals Club. Location is one of the smaller size locations but same club service. Be aware that the increased number of credit card customers having club access makes them more crowded.

As noted in the other comments, it's small from the spacing to the bathrooms. Doubt they will make much improvements since this airport isn't a AA hub. I don't foresee it because IAH is somewhat a dated facility. Food variety was good and fast wifi.

This ranks right up there with one of the smallest Admirals Clubs I've ever seen. IAH is strictly a United hub, so this is probably the best American can do. If I could avoid coming here often, I probably would. However, that's not reality since I'm here all the time. (#1) As noted, this club is pretty small but they've done a solid job with keeping the space so that the amenities can still be available. There is a bar with some seating, the food / drink station, ample counter space for plane viewing, and chairs in sections for folks to relax. Thankfully there aren't a lot of folks in here at all times or it would definitely feel like they're all on top of each other. The plus side is that the WiFi is fast, the bartender actually can pour some stiff ones and the bathrooms are clean. Check-in is usually a breeze and the employees here are pretty friendly. While I do wish they had more amenities (#2), this is a decent place to avoid the crowds, do a little remote work and enjoy a small snack. I would recommend coming here, claim an area, and then get some food / drink. Whip out a device of choice, sip the cocktail, and get ready for the flight. Don't be late and get a bathroom break before departing the airport. ______________ (#1) You're welcome, stalkers. (#2) Shower? Kids room or a quiet room? More food options? Office area with printers? That's probably asking for too much.

Unfortunately this is such a small establishment. The lounge can maybe seat 40-50 people, which is not enough for how crowded it can get. Bathrooms were also not that clean when we all came here. What I will say is that their food and service are much better than other places I've been. They had a good variety of food and their staff were very friendly and ensuring all food items were topped off. All things considered, this is overall just an average location.

My flight does not board until 7:45 just used 5,000 0f my points for this hidden Gem of relaxation inside the airport. You have access to computer and printer, you can watch television, you can sleep or eat. Most importantly relax and if you need to leave your things for a minute or two no worries you can and enjoy sports at the bar or food and appetizers at the dining table... love this

Love a layover as long as I get to go a getaway in the club. I used my miles to get the membership and I have never looked back. A quiet respite with lovely drinks and dining. Join up and relax. Makes every trip pure joy.

Comfortable and pleasant Admirals Club Lounge in IAH Terminal A. It's a little smaller than the flagship lounges in the American Airlines hubs - about the size of the satellite lounges often found in those hubs - but nonetheless, a more than welcome and hospitable spot to relax and chill before departure. Cereals, bagels, oatmeal - and thank you for being open at 4:00 AM! - complimentarily offered to break your fast ... plus plenty of much-needed caffeine-embracing cups of coffee!

    Nice magazine selection

Ahhhhh the Admirals Club. My office away from office, quiet place to catch up on my sleep and far far away from that smelly guy that keeps inching closer to me at gate A 25...... This location looked newly remodeled and offered a nice selection of complementary beverages and fresh foods. This location is on the smaller side and does not offer larger meals that can be purchased. The staff was friendly and attentive and the bartender was very nice as well. Only thing was the size and no larger meals other wise this would have been a perfect score.

During busy hours the wait can be up to 10 minutes. I recommend just leaving the lounge to use the bathroom. ~2pm: Waited for two hours to get in. The attendant at the front kept giving different times, citing the boarding of the KLM flight. This was incredibly frustrating and not even worth it, because there was no hot food and the space was mediocre. There was a quinoa salad, turkey&cheese sandwiches, cold bread rolls (with fancy butter though!), bananas, and chips. ~6am: Got in immediately and was pretty happy with the breakfast selection. There was warm toast, guacamole, sliced boiled eggs, pancakes, and an oatmeal bar. The lounge was pretty busy though, so I had to wait a while to use the bathroom. I actually slept in the lounge for an hour and it wasn't the worst. Overall, I'd recommend coming only during a time when they accept priority pass. If they say "come back later", just find another place to go to. It's not worth waiting around for.

I stopped by both KLM and Air France and the food was identical - same pasta salad, leafy salad, two sandwiches, plastic-wrapped chocolate chip cookie... The lounge prioritizes their own airline customers and offer better hot food options for their own. If you happen to get there when they're about to reopen for Priority Pass, wait in line - it get long quick! I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, but if I happened to be at the airport early and had some time to kill, it was maybe $15-20 saved in free basic food and straightforward to get to especially with the post-security air tram.

I even lost my Yelp elite status for 2026, but that won't keep me from sharing, just makes me sad. I'm hoping for a better year in 2026...so here is my first review for the year! I am trying to put 2025 behind me and I am starting off the year with a trip. To my surprise we were blessed with an upgrade of which I am forever grateful and we got access to the Polaris Lounge. What a wonderful place to kick back and relax before a long flight! I've only been in the regular United Club up to now, and I have always been curious. They are similar, but a lot less crowded. There is plenty of cozy seating with different options from tables to lounge chairs. There is a buffet like the regular United Club, with snacks and drinks. Plus, there is a bar. In addition to the items like the regular Club, there is a sit down restaurant inside as well where you can order off a special menu if you don't want to go to the buffet (no worries, no extra cost). Moreover, just about all the seating areas have a charging station (of course, if you sit at a regular table there isn't any). The staff is super friendly from the time you check in to the time you leave. They make you feel seen and special. If you have access, I highly recommend to take advantage and relax...even for a few minutes. Thank you United for helping me to hopefully have a better year ahead.

Turned out to be a great decision. The Polaris Lounge was clean, well appointed and quieter. But, the best part was the service. Stephanie welcomed us and when I asked for some guidance, kindly explained how everything worked, where the food was, bathrooms, etc. She arranged for wheelchair service to pick us up and we found a spot to sit and relax. Unfortunately, the seats, while mid century modern beautiful were med century modern incredibly low. We did find some chairs at a table that were more comfortable Thomas helped us clean up a small mess, very graciously and professionally. He also provided additional friendly guidance but in a very helpful way. Eating was a bit of the a challenge but thankfully, every dish was labeled for potentially problematic ingredients! Awesome! All the entrees contained dairy. So, I got some salami, cranberries, sunflower seeds and roasted beans. It went well with my lame stomach and I enjoyed several servings during our multi hour wait. Jason, the chef, came out and served vegan beans and carnitas along with various fixings. He was very helpful working around dietary restrictions and friendly also. Coffee was Italian Lilly brand which makes very nice espresso. I wouldn't say we are experts but this was a very nice lounge experience! Thanks United Polaris! Life is good with a comfortable layover.

Nice views of the planes and runways. Food selections are limited - a couple of hot dishes, a couple of salads, some mini sandwiches, lemon bars and chocolate chip cookies for dessert, and the ubiquitous cheese and crackers. I tried a mini club sandwich, pasta in a creamy sauce with sausage, and dessert. Everything I tried tasted good, though I typically never eat the cheese and crackers. There are no self-serve beverages here other than water and coffee (the club in C North is the only one with a soda machine). However, soda (and alcohol, of course) were available from the friendly bartender. Despite its large size, this lounge can get crowded - all of the United Clubs in Houston do, although the E lounge is usually not as bad as the two Terminal C clubs (the C south one had a line out the door when I walked by). The first time I approached the Terminal E lounge, the classic "currently not accepting one-time passes" sign was up, but I came back about an hour later and the sign was gone and I was in. (Yes, I know I'm part of the overcrowding problem with my United Explorer card, but I mostly just have it for the Group 2 boarding. The lounge passes are just a side benefit).

After that, our oldest politely asked if he could also have a bag of popcorn. The volunteer responded firmly, "That's enough. You guys had too much already." I was honestly surprised by the tone and response, especially since they had only taken two items each. I asked if we could simply pay for the popcorn, but she said payment wasn't the issue -- they just didn't have enough food. What confused me was that there were no posted signs explaining item limits or any guidance about restrictions. Clear communication upfront would have prevented the misunderstanding. We also asked if we could use the microwave and were told no again, which added to the frustration. We donated $25 during our visit, and when I mentioned it, we were told that donation funds cannot be used to purchase additional food. That was surprising to hear. When the shift changed, the new volunteers were very polite and welcoming. However, by that point we felt uncomfortable and chose to leave without escalating the situation. We truly appreciate what the USO does for service members and families, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. We hope this feedback helps improve communication and consistency for future visitors.

You need to know where you're going in case you have a tight layover and need to run for your life to the gate where your connecting flight departs. But interior-wise and food-wise, the airport has a tremendous amount of options in a visually aesthetically pleasing environment. If you are flying out of Houston at George Bush or connecting with a flight that is taking you either west or east, you could do a lot worse than George Bush Airport. Fortunately, that hasn't happened to us, but it could if you're not careful. Word.

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at baggage claim in Terminal C around 9:30 PM…read moretonight. The older woman working the baggage service desk was less than helpful and unnecessarily confrontational. When I asked for assistance regarding my checked bag after changing to an earlier flight, she told me it was "my job to know the baggage rules" and that she didn't want to help because she didn't want to risk getting fired. She stated, "United is looking for ways to fire the older people," which was both unprofessional and concerning. I'm just needing help with my families bags. She continued on and on how I should know the fine print before switching the flights and there's nothing she can do, which seemed like a cop out for being lazy. Earlier, United gate agents in SLC had asked for volunteers to move to an earlier flight due to delays out of Salt Lake City. We were told our bags would make the flight and, if not, they would be delivered. Based on that information, we agreed to switch flights. At baggage claim, instead of helping resolve the situation, she criticized how I keep my claim tickets stickers stuck on the back of my passport wallet. I store them on the back of my passport wallet (not on my passport itself), and I had to show her this after she questioned me about it saying it wasn't allowed on the passport. Why this was even a conversation I'm not sure, but I'm a seasoned traveler. I ultimately called customer service myself, and within 10 minutes they arranged luggage delivery without issue. United, if customer service is truly a priority, this is not the standard that should represent your baggage service team. Makes me want to cancel both our credit cards and fly a different airline.
