I patronize American Deli in McDonough, Georgia, Jonesboro Road. The French fries were half cooked and they gave ne mostly wings and only two flats. Ivwill not patronize this restaurant again. I wouldn't give American Deli such a low rating but I did not have the best experience there. I went on a Friday after doing errands and was craving some hot wings with crispy fries. I had no complaints over the wait time it took about 8-10 minutes after I paid for my food. The cashier was nice and the person who gave me the food was nice. The food completely missed the mark and the wings was completely salty. I don't mean over just put too much lemon peppers sprinkles on it, it resembled Morton's Salt is poured over it wing flavor. Not sure what the difference is between these establishments but this American Deli was definitely not the usual. The type of chicken must have been sourced from somewhere else because the flavors of it was exquisite. I don't want to put to much hype on the wings but they were usually good for this type of fast food. I'm just going to say you have to compare and contrast between another wing spot to see the obvious heightened quality that this American Deli is throwing at you. Absolute worst customer service that I have ever experienced. I waited 45 mins for my food while people walked in and out with their food. When I walked to the counter to show my receipt, the young lady went to the back to speak with the manager, he tried to give me a container that was just sitting back there. Please don't go to this location. The owner argued with me when I asked him to make me fresh wings. They pre cook their wings and let them sit. Then, when you make an order, they refry them. Yuck. Makes them hard and rubbery. He was rude and said that they have to use this method because of the Henry County Health Dept. Lies. First off the young lady taking the orders was very friendly and patient with us. I was with my mom and son and we weren't sure what we wanted. She patiently waited as we gathered our thoughts and ordered. We ordered cheesesteaks and wings. The cheese steaks were average, more cheese than meat so it was like I was just eating a cheese sandwich. Not horrible but far from the best. However I thought the chicken wings were great. I had honey Lemon-pepper. They also have more traditional flavors including mild/hot buffalo, teriyaki and BBQ. They were crispy without being over fried. Very flavorful and I would definitely be back for the wings. So if I could split up the stars it would be 3 for the cheese steaks but definitely 4 for the service and wings. read more

Just moved to town, I wanted some wings and AD used to be a staple in Atlanta. It's has fallen off. I won't review the food because i ended up walking out of the store. I walked in and the women who's clearly the manager did not speak. Like at all. Under no circumstances would I suggest anyone go to this American deli location. If you want good wings and quick service I suggest the American deli on Hudson Bridge or the new Jr Crickets in McDonough but NOT this place. This is my 2nd bad experience and I will not be back to this location. I called in my order and arrived 15 mins later and still had to wait 35 minutes for my order. While inside multiple people came in and placed orders and got their food before me even though I called my order in. After the first person came in and got their order I asked about my order and was told it would be right up. I continued to ask for my order, mind you I already paid, and still no wings. Finally the cashier looks around and sees that he never placed my ticket where the chef could see it and had the nerve to try and play it off as if it was the chefs fault smh. Worst customer service! I came around 9 pm on a Friday night. It wasn't to busy just a few people in store. The lady at cash register took my order wrong, I didn't realize it into after paying for everything. I told her she had order wrong ,she just said "oh didn't hear you". So I left it alone an just waited. As I waited I realized everyone else received their order but me. The Chef forgot to add shrimp to my fried rice so he threw my rice back on grill an added shrimp. So after the long wait I got my food then asked for additional ranch because they only gave me one.
