Also…read moretried the flounder and it was perfecto without being crispy, it is a thinner filet than the grouper. Fries this time were a thicker cut and were still just ok. My fried okra wasn't as crispy. So the key for me is to get grouper, wings, and okra fried crispy and the snapper and flounder I can do without those being crispy. The seasoning was still the best although a little heavy this time. This will still be my go to place for fish.

My only complaint is that the mild sauce has gotten WAY too hot, mild isn't supposed to feel like medium or full hot heat. I personally enjoy mine hot but my mom is sensitive to spicy foods and the mild used to be just right for her but now she says it lights her on fire so she unfortunately can't eat the tenders anymore. So I humbly beg y'all to ease up on the heat in the mild sauce.

Disappointed in Honey Mild Wings -- Salt & Vinegar Instead…read more I looked forward all week to Friday to get some Wings on Wheat (W.O.W.- Mount Zion location) Honey Mild wings, so I was really disappointed. The wings tasted like salted vinegar -- not a drop of honey. I didn't want to complain or ask for a replacement, but after eating only 3 of my 20 wings, I couldn't take the vinegar taste anymore. When I called the store, I was told the "Mild" sauce has a vinegar flavor, and that salt is put on all wings whether customers ask for it or not. The manager was apologetic but only offered to replace 10 of the 17 wings I had left -- which I don't think is fair. I even told him I'd be leaving a negative review, and he still held firm on the partial replacement. I guess a review mattered less to him than making it right. So, my advice: tell them NO salt, and skip the Mild sauce unless you actually like the taste of vinegar. If you're looking for good wings, I'd go elsewhere. To be fair -- placing the order was easy, and the food was ready right on time. But the taste, which is the whole reason I came, was not good at all. One and done, I'll wing it up elsewhere in future.

Hate to be that person making my announcement, but I don't think I'll be back. Especially not with that one cook in the back...

Wing Box: A Delicious Surprise…read more We came to Wing Box with high expectations, given all the hype we've heard about their wings. But little did we know, this place would not just meet those expectations--it would exceed them. From the first bite, it was clear that Wing Box knows how to do wings right. The crunch of every wing, fry, and piece of fried shrimp was the stuff of dreams. We started with the Cajun bone-in wings, and let me tell you, these wings delivered a perfect blend of spice and crunch that left us craving more. The seasoning was spot on, hitting that perfect balance between heat and flavor. Next up, the boneless Thai sweet chili wings were a revelation. The sauce had just the right amount of sweetness to complement the mild heat, making every bite irresistible. And as if the wings weren't enough, the fried shrimp were equally impressive, boasting the same satisfying crunch and flavor that made the wings a standout. Aside from the food, the customer service was friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The restaurant itself was nice and clean, with a laid-back atmosphere that makes it a perfect spot for a casual meal. Wing Box is one of those rare places that lives up to the buzz. If you're looking for a spot that delivers on flavor and crunch, this is it. We walked in expecting good wings, but we left with a new favorite spot that we can't wait to visit again. Now could the rating change when we try other items on the menu. Of course! But I don't think that's likely; at least I hope it's not. But I will keep yall updated!
