State of the art equipment, with Honeywell thermostats and sensors with a nice related app. Sadly they no longer service my area in Edgewater. We had a great experience with our ductless ac install, and although the temperature dropped the week it was installed, we have been enjoying the heat function on it too! We are newer home owners, and this was one of our first big projects. From calling to book an appointment and getting the estimate booked quickly/within a shorter timeframe, to a very thorough appointment -we felt satisfied right away. Everyone was pleasant, knowledgeable and took their time. We worked with Bobby the owner and Robal for communications, Julie the owner also gave us a call to check in. The only part of the process that took longer was the towns fault on slow permit processing, which to add, American Airflow gave us updates on timeframe during it. We also didn't have to do any of the permit work other than set up final inspections. They used a really great electrician company that we plan to use for other upcoming projects as well. Day of install came, techs were on time, professional, polite, extremely neat while working and with clean up, and took the extra time to explain the units to me as well as the (slightly tricky Mitsubishi) remote. The price and customer service hands down beat the other competitors we had estimates with and we're really happy we went with them...also relieved to no longer lug those pesky window units in next summer/anymore! read more

Woke up to a very warm house. Called American Airflow around 8:30 am and Bob showed up at 1:30 pm during the promised window. He was extremely professional from putting on booties over his workshoes before entering my house, during the diagnostic process and fixing of the system. He gave me updates and told me it would take 30-60 minutes to complete the job and he was true to his word. read more

Looked online for getting some work done in our home including AC repair, dryer vent cleaning, boiler maintenance and booked American Airflow based on good online reviews. After getting heavily charged for all the services, our boiler went dead in the middle of the night after a week of service and we were left with no choice but to consult another company who told us that the boiler was never serviced and they had to do everything from scratch (they even showed us how muddy it was on the inside). American airflow basically charged us for doing nothing. When we contacted the customer service to discuss this, the lady on the call was very rude and told us that they had sent their "experts" and was trying to imply that we are lying. In addition to that, they promised us free dryer vent cleaning (as complimentary service) but the "experts" never provided us this option. Later when we called in to request for this service , they promised to give us a refund for the same which we never received and never heard back from them on following up. Will not recommend American airflow to anyone who is looking for a good quality work and value for money - we got ripped off and really regret availing their service. read more

Bobby and his team are excellent. Even after regular work hours there is a service that contacts someone that actually gets back to you. An emergency or a routine maintenance they are professional and courteous. I feel I always get a good diagnosis of a problem or possibly an upcoming one. Friday night before the long hot Memorial Day weekend and of course, the HVAC stops blowing cold air. Since my building uses American exclusively thought I'd give them a call. After leaving a message with their after hours service ( it was 9.30pm), got a call back within 5 minutes. Brian offered to come out and I told him it could wait til the morning. He showed up on time with all his tools and equipment. He knew the system really well and was able to remedy the problem within an hour. Overall the company is reliable, professional, friendly, efficient and of their word. They are completely automated from their phone system, letting you know when they are on their way, to their payment system. Their fees are reasonable and I'm now thinking about buying into their service contract. Would highly recommend them. read more

Do not use this company! We had a leak in our HVAC unit which caused some damage to our floors in the bedroom. We had Brian from American Airflow come in and he said he fixed the problem and "ensured the leak was no longer an issue". Literally three days later, the leak was so bad that it completely damaged the floors which now need to be replaced. Brian came back, claiming that this is a totally different, unrelated issue from what he claimed to have fixed. He clearly just missed the problem and charged me twice for a problem that he failed to locate the first time. We have since then contacted a different provider to come in and inspect the work that American Airflow did. He found that they only "rebuilt" the piece that caused the leak as opposed to removing the whole system and replacing the broken piece with a brand new piece to avoid having yet another problem. So clearly American Airflow was incompetent and lazy and only temporarily fixing the problem. This is not the first issue that we have had with this company. I just do not want to see this happen to anyone else. read more
