Randolph, an energetic and polite young man, greeted me with a firm handshake, and friendly smile. He also gave me a tutorial, based on the questions I was asking, on how to use my existing system more efficiently, how best to set each thermometer, and when and how to change air filters if / when I wanted to do it myself. My AC capacitor went out on a hot Friday, and I contacted them looking for a prompt repair. While the technician who arrived was professional, the billing was completely predatory. They charged me $685 plus tax to replace a single dual capacitor. This is a basic 30-minute job, and the high-end universal part they used costs under $100 retail. The standard market rate for this repair in Rockland County tops out around $350 to $450. Charging nearly $700 for a simple part swap is an extreme, unconscionable markup. There are plenty of honest, local HVAC professionals in our area who charge fair market rates. I will never use this company again, and I strongly advise other Rockland County homeowners to look elsewhere unless you want to be severely overcharged.

He came back with the piece we needed and he wanted me to give him the balance that I owed him before he walked into the store to finish the job. His techs - Mark and Robert -were here all day and did not stop until job was done, checking to make sure it was working properly and explaining the system to us so it can function for years to come. They were cordial in working in masks in this trying time (and with us wearing them in our home as well to protect them). Removing the old furnace was a task in itself as it easily weighed OVER 500 lbs and had to be broken up in two pieces to get out of our basement! I had used DB prior to for our annual AC checks, but this is the first big time job and couldn't be happier. Great service all the way around.
