Rob (owner) came out himself to investigate a call I made on Monday that our steam boiler was not working properly, he accessed we'd need a new one and said it was corrode. Let's face it, spending that $ for the stuff you cannot see is never fun but Rob gave a good fair price. His techs - Mark and Robert -were here all day and did not stop until job was done, checking to make sure it was working properly and explaining the system to us so it can function for years to come. They were cordial in working in masks in this trying time (and with us wearing them in our home as well to protect them). Removing the old furnace was a task in itself as it easily weighed OVER 500 lbs and had to be broken up in two pieces to get out of our basement! I had used DB prior to for our annual AC checks, but this is the first big time job and couldn't be happier. Great service all the way around. read more

It was one of those crazy 98 degree days in this summer of 2025...and the A/C decided to stop working. One call and they responded within the day. They got it functioning within a few minutes. Here's the crazy part...it stopped again the next day. So another call, another visit. They gave us gave us the real news. Quick repair or full replacement. Since it was not our building, we elected to service the current system. I will definitely keep them on speed dial for the winter months! read more

I've used DB H&C a couple of times now and I have to say they are awesome. I've dealt with other companies but this is by far the best. I had a service call completed recently and the gentleman they did the job was very professional. Gave me advise and how to go about things with absolutely no pressure. Nick, thank you and the crew! read more

Hands down---best company to use. The installers are all professional and the owner (Rob) has gone above and beyond in any instance I have used them. Highly recommended! Dan read more

4 stars, "I'm a fan." It's really hard to find a contractor that leaves you feeling that you're not getting ripped off. Well, DB Heating & Cooling, Inc left me feeling confident and secure at a job well done and at fair, honest pricing. I called their number and was received by a pleasant dispatcher who contacted the branch office in my town to give me a ring back. The owner, Rob, was clear and honest giving me a fair price for a service visit/estimation of my heating issue. I suspected it was the fan/blower unit. I was given an estimated 45 minute wait time til the tech would arrive. Like clockwork the service technician, Narcin, came to my door in the 45 minutes that was agreed upon. After looking and testing my furnace, Narcin diagnosed my furnace issue as I suspected; it was the inductor fan that had seized. He put some muscle into the axial of the fan, got it unstuck and gave me fair warning that it could seize again and would be better to get a replacement unit to be safe. An estimate would be sent to me after the weekend of a possible replacement unit, which I will probably opt to get probably after the holiday season. (Got to budget for the holiday season.) I was charged just for a service visit, where the fix was simple enough to be encompassed in that fee. I'm a landlord of a few homes in NYC and go through dishonest contractors by the dozens. I will be hiring DB Heating and Cooling, Inc for my home needs and will be considering them for my business needs as a result of my positive customer experience. read more

They gave me a good quote. The workers were professional and patient. They were supposed to refer an electrician and did not, but I found one in my own. Their work was neat and clean and so far the unit they recommended seems sufficient. Thank you. read more

We had DB heating and cooling to the house last Friday to replace a central air condition unit. A three hour job turned into an all day event. The unit was approximately 30 years old. The service guys had a difficult time getting the unit out of the attic and it needed to be taken apart, piece by piece. They were very courteous, clean, and stayed at the house until the job was complete. We are so appreciative of their help and expertise in changing out this old, damaged unit. Thank you DB heating and cooling!! read more

5 years have passed since DB installed my A/C and upgraded my furnace...A contractor currently working in my house "crossed some wires" and blew out the circuit board that operates my furnace - No heat on Dec. 1..... Not knowing the right thing to do, I called DB (on a Saturday morning) to ask how I should proceed. Within 15 minutes Rob (the owner) called me back and listened to my explanation of the situation. He was very re-assuring, and told me how to proceed. When the Owner of a company calls me back on a weekend and helped me with a difficult situation he deserves a review to tell people how exceptional DB Heating treats their customers..Thanks Rob read more

I called for service late in the afternoon and they were here the following morning. The tech arrived on time and was both knowledgeable and polite. Good service but super expensive. They charged us almost $400 for an $80 part (500% markup!) plus another $125 trip charge. I know things are expensive but these guys are really price gouging and taking advantage of consumers. I would only consider using them again if it was a complete emergency or if I won the lottery and money wasn't a concern. read more

Don't waste your time or money with this company. Customer service is terrible. Bad attitude on phone. I purchased a new heating and a/c system. All went well however if you need service after you have spent $6000 plus with them don't expect it. No return phone calls. I was told the only person who handles technical issues is the owner rob. Funny but he didn't even install the system. One of his technicians did. Move on! There are other companies out there who actually believe in having a customer for the long term, not a quick sale. Would not recommend This company to anyone. read more

Just had DB Heating and Cooling install central air in our 1930s home and are super happier with how it turned out. Easily the nicest crew of any at the time that we were renovating, and they were able to install vents everywhere with no tearing out walls/floors/ceiling/etc. Very accommodating of our schedule with other contractors and flooring needs. Would highly recommend. read more

What a great company! I have had an ailing air conditioner in my upstairs for a year. DB has been working with me to try to keep it running but it finally quit a week ago. Rob came in, gave me a quote and his crew installed a new unit the next day! His crew was amazing! Very professional, neat and friendly. His foreman even gave me a bunch of tips on how to keep my air conditioners running in tip top shape and how to protect the outside units from leaves and elements in the off seasons. What a great experience! I highly recommend DB Heating and Cooling! read more

I have used DB for service for 6 years. Always a great experience. This year I needed to replace my AC system. I got a couple of estimates . DB's estimate was in line with the others and I used DB because of my great past experiences. As promised they were in and out in one day. Worked extremely clean and efficient. Communication throughout the whole process was perfect. I will continue to use this fine company. read more

Today I had an issue with my heating unit. I called many companies and being that it was a Sunday it was very difficult to find one willing to assist us. We spoke to Rob, and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. It is very rare to find honest and trustworthy people and I am very appreciative of his service. I would highly recommend this company and use them again in the future for any issues. read more

OMAR IS THE MAN! Courteous, efficient and knew exactly what to do! It's nice to finally find a truly competent professional who didn't waste my time or my money. He's now my "go to" guy. THANKS OMAR! read more

We are super happy with DB Heating. They are reliable, honest and professional. We just had Omar and Allen here for our yearly heating maintenance. They were very knowledgeable and couldn't have been nicer (even as my dog was barking at them nonstop). Definitely recommend! read more

My forced air furnace was not working properly. It would turn on and off after a few seconds. Had a guy come out and replace the flame sensor without fixing the problem. He said it was probably the mother board (700-800 dollars) but should replace the 20 year old furnace entirely. Called DB Heating for a second opinion and they sent Jim. He diagnosed the problem in 5 minutes and fixed it in another 5. The inlet to the inducer was clogged. He taught me how to fix it myself in case it happens again. Best 150 dollars i have spent in a while. Highly recommend. read more

I've had to call DB twice in the last month for different issues with my AC. First of all, hey are responsive - so much so that I got a call back from the dispatched maybe 2 minutes after my initial call to the office. They always fit me in same day for these service calls and the technician who has come out has been amazing - he's honest and explains what is going on and why. It's hard to find services these days who have this type of work ethic so if you need any hvac support, definitely use DB. I'm thankful found them recommended on our Ramsey Moms Facebook page. read more

We called up DB last year because our heat was barely working. A technician came by shortly after our call to look into the problem. He was professional and quickly fixed the problem. The problem was that the system needed to be bled to work better, which was taken care of very efficiently. It was a comfort knowing that DB handled our problem reliably and completely. I highly recommend them! read more

DB is amazing! We lost our heat on Thanksgiving Day with a house full of company. After calling a few places and unable to get anyone out, I came across DB online. I called them and they sent someone out to my house almost immediately and quickly fixed the issue. The service was great, tech (Adam) was professional and courteous and explained what was wrong and what he was doing to fix it. I also liked how they communicated who would be coming, arrival time, etc. They always kept us updated and well informed. I would definitely use them again and again. Thank you, DB, for saving our Thanksgiving! read more

My AC has been on the fritz for some time. I had tried several repair companies in the recent past, and the repair people either never showed up or did not fix the problem. I decided to give DB a try based on the reviews here, and I am happy to add my own excellent review. Jim was very professional, prompt, and knowledgeable. He not only repaired my AC, but he gained me as a customer. I highly recommend DB Heating and Cooling! Excellent job!! read more

I had DB do a swap of my 25 year old HVAC System today. I had scheduled a pre-sales appointment about one week ago to discuss my options and the sales person came on time! He was knowledgeable and did not try to over sell me. I was provided 3 options and in the end I went with a Carrier Infinity System. The installation crew came on time to do the work. They were neat, professional and cleaned everything when done. All in all a very professional company and a great experience. Highly recommend. read more

Our 60-year old boiler gave up on Nov, when the temperature started to drop. We searched online, and compared several companies, including Costco, homedepot, PSE&G, and some local contractors. In the end, DB gave the least expensive quote, but the best equipment. They didn't push for the sale, didn't give me "extra" options or upgrades that I don't need. They managed to come in a couple days to replace the equipment. Their team were professional and friendly, did a clean job throughout the installation. It took them about 10 hours to finish the job. After they left, I figured the heating didn't work correctly because the two zones control was wired incorrectly. So I called them very late in the night, and they send a technician very early the next morning. It took him maybe an hour to fix everything, and it works great since then. After a couple weeks, I got the call from town to schedule inspection, it went through swiftly. Thank you DB! read more

DB is a great company to work with! We had an issue with the heat and within an hour of calling them someone was at my house and addressed the issue. The service was great and the technician was great and most importantly honest and professional. read more

Professional! Totally professional! They call you back, arrive when promised, found an a/c problem we have been trying to figure out for more than a year, fixed it and keep us informed as they were working! All that for a reasonable price! Will be the first one we call from now on! read more
