I use to bring my clothes for cleaning and alterations until i saw the quantity of alterations was very poor quality, with missing belt loops they sent a pair of pants without any alterations and they charged over$ 150. 00. the owner tried to tell me that i was mistaken and that i didn't understand and he was set to argue but i just said how much i owe you it was another $124.86. when i got home and all the pants were never altered, they left them just when i brought my clothes. I'm so lucky to have found the place. The owner is such a gem. Truly out of this world friendly and attentive. I accidentally stained a yellow shirt in the wash and took it to her thinking I would turn it into rags for the garage. She said she would try, but couldn't promise me anything, because the stains were pretty bad (I must have mixed a dark blue shirt in with the wash). When I came to pick it up, it was as good as new! She found a matching yellow and re-dyed the shirt. I was ecstatic! This was one of my husband's favorite shirts. I've also taken jeans in to get them hemmed. Wow!!!!! Please if you live anywhere near Ameri Dry Cleaners - GO. Bring anything you have to them needing drycleaning. I received an education about ECO-Friendly dry cleaning products, and I estimate that Ameri Cleaners saved me about $600 and supported my health 100%. This is why: The week before I had taken 8 business jackets to a different drycleaner - another cleaner who used something toxic on my jackets. This was a different dry cleaner in Renton and when I picked up my jackets - they had a terrible smell to them. When I brought them home - I simply hung them in my closet thinking it would dissipate...but all night long I had difficulty breathing. I realized it was the jackets, and the toxic cleaning fluid this other cleaner had used. So - my choice was to try to find a way to remove the toxic fluid from my clothing or throw my jackets away. I looked up "Organic dry cleaner in Renton, WA" - and found Ameri Cleaners. They have been formally verified as "ECO-FRIENDLY". I called before coming and told them my dilemma. The woman who owns the place is phenomenal. Not only did she remember my wife and I after the first visit, but she also remembers what we talked about the last time I was in. When she found out my wife was pregnant she kept asking me how she was doing every time! To top it off my clothes come back clean and pressed. The reviews looked solid, so we tried Ameri Cleaners. Initially I was impressed with the friendliness, but with each subsequent visit, my disappointment grew. Three times we went to pickup at our ticketed pickup time, and our clothes were not ready. I asked why we were not called and received varied explanations. Twice it was a broken boiler. The final time, I dropped off clothing for our Thanksgiving trip. She offered a 5-day pickup but I let her know we were travelling, and would need a day earlier and even agreed to come after 3:00. When I arrived, it wasn't done. Again, I was not called. I told her I couldn't get till after Thanksgiving which is what we needed the outfits for. When I came to pickup after the holiday, no discount was offered. The cleaning was done well and location great, but I will switching cleAners due to the reliability factor and lack of concern for the customer experience. read more

Think twice about going to American cleaners. In my experience not only was I overcharged grossly, but the flat out service was below average. When I used to take my laundry to a cleaner in Seattle they would fold the underwear sort the socks and put things in bags that made sense. I brought over 200 dollars of business to the establishment and when I picked up my clothes they were thrown about senselessly in about 17 plastic bags. I felt that I was taken advantage of. The lady who helped me out I believe her name is Tri. Tri was a nice lady, but that's not what I came there for. In order to determine what my cost would be they needed a scale. The scale that she had was old and weathered and she had to stomp on it several times to get it to work. Even after that the scale would shut off randomly. That made me very uneasy but I was in a crunch for time and it was close to my house so I made it work. I regret that. This is the type of place where even if I had tried to make a complaint and to seek some type of agreement for the poor service that I received I feel it what is been pointless. There was definitely a language barrier present. That was my experience unfortunately. read more

I found this place based on the yelp reviews. I did appreciate the itemized ticket when I dropped my clothing off. However, I specifically pointed out a tiny food spill on one of my tops and asked if they could make sure to get it out. I didn't check the stained area until I got the shirt home and the stain was still there, front and center. Talk about disappointing. If they weren't able to get it out, I would have appreciated at least an acknowledgement of that... I understand that they have many customers, but that stain on that shirt was the main reason why I brought all my dry cleaning in. read more

I took a brand new dress that had never been worn - literally it was taken to the tailor the day it arrived and then was taken directly to Ameri Cleaners to be pressed - only to have by brand new never worn dress completely ruined with no explanation. She told me as soon as I came to pick it up that they had found "so many stains - tons of stains." I was in shock. I had tried it on a few times, I had worn it at the tailor both when I dropped it off and picked it up, and there were never any stains. I would've noticed that immediately after taking it out of the package and wearing it. I dropped it off the day before with NO STAINS. It had NEVER BEEN WORN. And she started raising her voice saying there was no way they did that, someone else must've stained it, and that there was nothing they could do. I am flying out of town and I don't have time for her to fix it as the wedding is next weekend. I have used this cleaner for over two years, in the past 6 months she has gone down hill, twice now she has not been able to deliver on time and both times it is the hot water tank. We have been using Ameri Cleaners since moving to the Seattle area in 2006. The service and quality of cleaning is nothing short of amazing. We have certainly put Tram's expertise and customer service to the test many times and she has never failed us! My husband wanted to keep an old favorite leather jacket but the lining was completely shot...not a problem for Tram! She completely relined the jacket with thoughtfully selected material. I purchased a leather bag in France and emptied a thermos of coffee inside the bag! The leather was dark and wet when I brought it in to Tram. She called her leather suppliers on the east coast, received a recommendation on the best product and procedure for salvaging the bag. The revival of this bag required Tram to apply the product, wait a few days, then reapply. One month later, my bag is beautiful...liner is clean and the bag once again smells like leather!
