This review may seem contradictory, but I will be realistic and honest. Nail technician from Amelina paraiso did an amazing job! Very detailed preparation, perfect work. I came in with terrible natural nails, I did a manicure with gel overlay and I came out with the most beautiful nails ever! Top service! I don't remember the girl's name, but she was very attentive and kind. Also - the salon looks very nice. By the way, I came to this salon on the recommendation of a friend, whose nails always look flawless! And she definitely gave me a good recommendation. But, I obviously have some problem with my nails because everything peels off my nails. I put on acrylic - the whole nail falls off, I put on gel - the same. I tried Amelia paraiso in hope that it would be better, but unfortunately it was not. The same situation happened and these peeled off after just 5 days. However, if I have a problem, that's not a reason to rate them bad, it is not their fault. They really work beautifully and are worth a visit. I will have to keep looking for a place/technique that will make the gel stay on the nails for at least 2 weeks. but if you don't have problem like I do, go and visit them, you will be delighted! read more

LONG REVIEW WARNING: I've read the few reviews on this place but I've had a different experience and hopes this helps. This IS A VERY PRICY nail salon but I don't mind because the QUALITY is worth it. You get what you pay for. E-File technique is just more costly. The decor is sleek, modern, simple, and warm colors...gold, emerald green, pink, and white. It's a clean and an inviting environment. First of all they take their safety and cleanliness serious and during COVID it was amplified. Each client must wash their hands before your appointment begins. They sterilize all of their reusable tools that are sealed and have disposables files for each client use. I've watched them sterilized each station after every client and even Saran Wrap the pedi chairs. What I love about this place is there is no waiting. Whatever time your appointment is booked for, that's what time it starts. The only reason they would be late is if the client before you ran late, I've only experienced that twice. The 1st time I waited no more than 5 mins. The second time my tech called me ahead of time to warn me to come 10 mins later. There are no random ppl in the salon, only ppl actually getting a service done. There is a waiting area but no one is ever waiting unless they come like 5 mins early. The time allotted for your desired service on the booking site is TRUE, so plan accordingly. I love the quality of the products they use, they last a long time. My manicure (gel overlay) last 3-4 weeks. My pedicures last 6-7 weeks. If you add up the cost from a typical Asian salon that is cheaper, you'll actually spend more because you'd have to go every 2-3 weeks. They have an assortment of colors. I also like they don't have a ton of different polish brands. They may have two if that...probably 1 brand difference types. I've never had an experience where any of the ladies were rude to me nor did I witness that with anyone else either. There is definitely a cultural difference for me and sometimes it may be just a TAD bit difficult to understand everything so quick but it is not bad at all. What I've learned dealing with various cultures, some react differently. Because of this, I think they limit conversations unless you initiate. However, they are focused on working and doing a good job. They aren't overly out going and bubbly personalities but they are kind and professional. The owner and her team take their quality serious. One time she didn't like how my nails looked and she didn't charge me. They looked fine to me but it wasn't to HER standards, the tech was fairly new at that time. I didn't complain at all, the owner didn't like it. That made a forever client. If you're looking for trendy designs, this isn't that type of establishment. They specialize in technique, classy and classics. They do designs but minimal and classy. Their weakness is staffing. It is not fully staffed but the owner has been actively working to hire ppl. For a long time during the pandemic, it was only 2 girls plus the owner but they have added a 3rd person that has been there since the beginning of 2022. Because of this, it is HARD to get an appointment on top of them being good. The regulars know to book for future appointments. Lastly, their cancellation policy. I have to admit, I've fkd up a couple of times with this policy and it was a hard pill to swallow. However, it was my fault each and every time. If you don't cancel within 24 hours, they will charge you 50% of your service. If you are a no call no show, 100% and I've done both. Imagine having to pay $200 and not getting your nails done. Then rebooking and paying again. Lol I wasn't laughing at the time. But to be fair, it is hard to get an appointment so to have a cancellation or a no show on the day of and not be able to fill that spot can hurt the techs pockets. It was my fault so I just ate it. However, as a regular, the owner did accommodate me in another way. I was grateful about that. The only suggestion I have is that they give you a 48 hour reminder of your appointment instead of the 24 hour. By the time you get the notification, if you cancel it's a charge. Now I put a reminder on my calendar 72 hours in advance. However, all of these policies are stated on the booking site. I'm a happy customer and will always give them business. read more

Online Purchase: I've purchased from this company in the past, with no issues. This go-round, I can't say the same. I placed my order 1/8/24. I gave grace and understanding with shipping delays, as we experienced bad weather and carrier delays. 1/19/24, I spoke with Amelina directly (after 2 VM's and 1 FB Messenger message) and was assured that my order would be shipped, as it was still showing processing, and that she would even send a little something *extra* for the delay. Well, it is now 1/30/24 and still no package. The website shows shipped via USPS with no tracking. I call the number and it goes straight to VM. I am now out of $80 and when I call, it goes directly to VM. Mailbox is full. This is terribly unprofessional, and I will be disputing the transaction with my credit card company. Do not waste your money! I went to the salon fir few months before I got toe infection . When contacting the owner, I was yelled at and accused of lying and was told it's all my fault because I didn't come for pedicure in 3 weeks but did wait for 7 weeks (mind you that they are so busy, they are booked foe 2 months ahead) or she has no employees to work. With the training and certification in one day, there is definitely a luck of knowledge and experience. But the owner unprofessional attitude is beyond it all. I had an appointment 3 weeks ago. Been regular for2-3 years. Have went to any nail tech available, no issues. Owner contacts me, I'm guessing because i didn't tip as usual. Price increase of $30 without notice was the reason and it was no longer in budget. Asked about concerns... i voiced that everything was great except 1 minor issue that wasn't a problem & i would just let it grow out. I figured it was just a language barrier between me & tech. She told me during convo to go somewhere else. Again I figured language barrier & assured her no big deal ill show her at my next appointment. Next appointment today she informs me that she will service me herself to see problem. Im like no big deal. She then asks if i didn't want her to service me & I'm like i guess, i don't really have a choice. She then storms off in a tantrum & tells me shes not servicing me and my appointment is cancelled... i then try to explain to her that i don't have a problem & i don't know where any of this is coming from, doesn't matter, REFUSED TO SERVICE ME.... needless to say I'm very disappointed... So... I am so shocked that even don't know how to start telling about my experience with the owner Anna. For sure, 3 times before I had come to her my nails were done very good but we had never started on time . 10-15 minutes were the minimum for her to be prepared for her work. But today's case is the unbelievable. I had the appointment with Anna at 2PM. I came at 1:50 PM and she told me that she was almost done. Okay,of course, take your time cause I came a little earlier. Than... 2:10PM...2:15PM she is still with the other client. I came to her and asked where I can grab a cup of coffee and if I had 10 minutes cause she was still working... not finishing but working in process. I left for this time and when I came back she was still with other client. 2:35PM she was still in process and didn't tell me anything. At 2:40PM I came to her and asked what was going on and why the delay was so long. I was not rude, I asked it calmly but needed to get any explanations. She finished at 2:50 PM. Anna came to me and asked if I still had time to do my nails... I said of course I was not satisfied with the situation cause I had plans after manicure but I had nothing to do with the time. And after that she began to tell me that she doesn't let anyone ask "why so late" when she is with other client!! But she was okay telling me all this when the other client was standing behind her and hearing how she was talking to me like I was her employee but not a client.And that she doesn't want to work with me anymore. Sorry but whose is the problem that you don't have a receptionist or that you didn't let me know that you were running so late?! When I came she lied that she was almost done. Finally it took her 50 minutes to be done. And she put the blame on me that I interrupted when she was working and she refused to make a service for me. By the way, problems in the private life shouldn't make anyone so emotionally unstable during the work. Update. Dasha D. is a terrible liar. Not sure whether you are Anna's friend or just you work in the same field. But all your words are not true!! Anna was crying telling me she has problems on her life , exactly she said "she has a terrible fault in her life" and I was not the reason of her crying! This place is amazing!!! Margo and Anna are top notch professional. Starting from just salon aesthetic appearance, wide range of materials and colours finishing sophisticated treatment for each client. They would always go extra mile to make everybody happy! It was like a blessing finding such salon! My manicure is always on point and last me like never before! And my toes are super happy after Anna's treatment for ingrown nails. This place is over an hour from where I live, but I had heard it was incredible. Let me tell you, it was absolutely worth the trip! Excellent experience all around. I booked a pedi w a heavy callous reduction and it was so well done. I have a callous on the bottom of my foot that was starting to cause chronic pain when I was on my feet. Today Martina was able to almost completely eliminate the callous. It is immensely better and I now have no pain from it. My feet look and feel better than ever! I have been coming to Amelina Paraiso for 7 months now from a referral from another client. I have been seeing Margo the whole time but also have met Anna and have seen her beautiful work. The salon is betting professional always timely and super clean. I am a big nail freak and my nails have never looked so good. They are perfect every time. They no longer break and I love their technique of applying the polish all the way to the cuticle or even a little lower so it takes a long time to show outgrowth. Other salons I would go to I would leave and there was a space between the polish and cuticle before I even left! Margo is a perfectionist and knows all the colors by heart. I love the whole process of waterless manicures and pedicures. I am also a runner and I used to have so much pain in my toes and because of these medical grade pedicures, my toes and feet don't hurt anymore. Everything is so clean in the salon and I love my time there. The experience you get at Amelina is no where near any other experience I have had at other salons. From the time I came in I was surprised with how beautiful place is-clean, spacious, owner have a great taste in design for sure. I saw that they are very serious about disinfecting instruments and nail files are new and are opened in front of you. I mean, I never saw this in any salon. I was asked if I would like any drink-I chose wine;) also want to mention about technic they are using for mani and pedi-they are using machines for it and it's completely dry, which makes it least longer. They just stole my money! This place is making money on cancelletion policy not actual services.Dissapointed and shocked! Horrible customer service, I would say the worst. The owner/manager/receptionist is rude and disrespectful. I booked an appointment 24 hours in advance, the date before my appaointment. Unfortunately, I had a flat tire and an issue with my car a few hours after booking my appaointment and decided to cancel as I wasn't sure I could make it there next day. I called the salon to let them know about my situation. They told me that they have a policy that requires to cancel the appointment 48 hours in advance or they will charge me 50% of the service price. I simply didn't have 24 hours to cancel my appointment. They told that they don't care about my problem and that I booked it less than 48 hours hours in advance. The policy is the policy. I treid to explain my situation and I really wanted to reschedule my appointment , but they didn't care whatsoever.They simply said no and hanged up the phone.
