Went to their galleria location only because I booked through lens crafters link and I didn't know that they changed their optometrists in that location. First of all my experience during my visit was horrible because of the way they process my files right from the start. The staff kept calling somebody to help them order my contacts and process my insurance. Then I asked for my contact lenses to be delivered, waiting over a month no contacts! I kept calling the phone and left voicemails but no return call. Finally decided to go personally only to find out that clinic is closing, got a different contact number from lens crafters personel. I was asked to pick up the contact lens at the summerlin location because apparently it was placed for pick up! I went same day but to find out that they ordered monthly lenses! I cannot use monthly I use dailies! I asked for refund and almost 2 weeks later NOTHING! Called and they keep giving me excuses that they have to process it at the galleria location which again is already CLOSED. Now they are saying only the doctor can process the refund. I have been a patient of Dr. Youssef's now for about three years. I landed in her office because the ophthalmologist who I was going to didn't have a certain piece of equipment available at the time and suggested that I set up an appointment with Dr. Youssef simply to get the test completed. While I loved him and his office, I've never gone back. Dr. Youssef is not only brilliant, but she relates to her patients in a way that you simply look forward to the appointment because you're going to have state of the art equipment, great conversation and an easy to deal with appointment. Note only is her office esthetically beautiful, but her staff is equally as attentive and personable as she....truly a reflection of professionalism at its peak. And while again, I do want to note that her entire staff is great, Tiffany offers ultimate customer care and focus. Every time I walk through the doors or even have to call, she makes me feel like a million bucks. Towards the end of 2020, I needed to place an order for my contact lenses. Because my insurance would not pay for the prescription until the new year, not only did Tiffany assure me that she would place the order at the appropriate time, but when it was placed she called me, gave me a timeline for completion and when I went to pick up my lenses, she had them secured in a beautiful pouch tucked inside a beautiful gift bag. What more can you ask for? Sooooooo, if for any reason, you need to secure a wonderful, knowledgeable and yes, I will say "badass" ophthalmologist who knows exactly what to do with a fabulous staff, feel free to go to Dr. Amel Youssef, OD. Dr. is new to Lens Crafters at the Galleria Mall in Henderson NV. My first appointment the Dr. wasnt even there. It was an assistant that did my eye exam. He addressed my concerns and was very committed to getting my prescription correct. Unfortunately it was not. I scheduled a recheck and told the agent on the phone I wanted the recheck with the Dr. Come to find out Dr is only there 2 days a week. Went in for the recheck, waited 35 minutes before I went back to see where they were with calling me, the line was long which I have never experience with that location and the prior Dr. Was taken back, told the associate the issue. Checked my eyes, went into a room, in which I was moved around 3 different times before I got to see the Dr., due to needing the room. Dr. came in, told her my concerns. She puts the machine up to my face, I had to readjust it myself to fit correctly. She seemed preoccupied as I heard what seemed to be a wrapper being undone as she was going thru slides. None of the slides I could see out of and by this time she was going so fast between them i couldn't even get my answer out fast enough. I was irritated and gave vague responses. She then took me out of the room into the hallway. There was so much ciaos going on I don't know how anyone was able to do there work properly. I was told to put on old school glasses where she transferred in and out different prescriptions. By this point she was able to get it better but I was "done". Too much going on, she was delegating between me, staff and other customers. Just got my glasses for the 2nd time, they are better but still not correct. I have a tri focal. My distance is still blurry and the tri focal is not clear as well. read more

This review is for the doctor only. I went to Lenscrafters on West Lake Mead where Dr. Youssef has a location inside. I had an appt scheduled with The dr. for an eye exam. I wanted to ask about getting Lasik surgery and had a few more questions. (it's been since 2020 since my last eye exam). I never even saw the doctor! She (I assume its a she from reading the posted reviews) didn't come in to introduce herself, or welcome me as a new patient, or look at my health history. I know she didn't read it because there a few red flags that EVERY doctor I've ever seen talks to me about. Hell, I don't even think she was there and I don't know how legally an eye exam can be performed without the doctor. I saw the front desk girl and two techs WHO WERE ALL INCREDIBLE! They really knew their stuff. But they never went to medical school and it should not be put on them to do the work of a doctor. I have 2 insurance's and I'm going to inform the insurance companies they are paying a doctor and she's not even there. I ordered my glasses and I'm hoping they're ok and if so I will never come back. read more

Okay so let me start by saying I don't really enjoy going to doctors offices like most of us I'm already nervous enough as is haha; was searching online since I've been postponing seeing an eye doctor for well over a year. The location was a bit far from where I live but decided to go here since one of my closes friend who is no longer with us share the name youssef so I saw it as a sign from fate and decided to go. I'm so glad I did! The staff is warm and inviting; happy to see you with smiles the very moment you walk in! All of them are extremely knowledgeable and the tech they have here is on a whole other level! They made me feel like I was an extended family member which helped me feel more comfortable with the whole "going to the doctor" thing, would definitely recommend giving them a try also checking out Groupon since they have deals sometimes too! Wow, this was an awesome first Eye visit. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a very happy and helpful Tiff Tiff (Tiffany). When she was busy, Gabby happily stepped in to assist me with getting checked in. When I was done with that process I met with Dr. Yousseff, who instantly, was a charm. Dr. Youssef seemed more concerned with getting me into her clinical study than correctly diagnosing my situation. I came to the practice for a second opinion as a Glaucoma watch list patient. She confirmed that diagnosis, scared the crap out of me and recommended $200/month eye drops which I used for several months. I could never get my questions quite answered as to what she saw in my results that led to this conclusion. Her response to my questions was to call me a "non-compliant patient." After consult with other doctors, it was confirmed that her diagnosis was inaccurate and I should NOT have been placed on Glaucoma drops (these drops are strong, cause side effects and are not innocuous). I would discourage consult with Dr. Youssef and will be following up with the Board of Optometrists. Buyer beware. read more

She is in cahoots with Dr Siems. We went to her for a pair of "loaner glasses" for a week until we had surgery scheduled. She charged us $200 for the loaner pair, even tried to up-sell us on a pair of fancy sunglasses that we declined. We went to a new doctor for lasik after reading reviews on Siems and the new doctor said the prescription that she gave was completely wrong. I do not recommend this woman. Dr. Youssef had me wait for 3 hours because she was getting her weave done. She apologized profusely, explaining with a chuckle, rather capriciously, that she had a weave emergency. She didn't seem very remorseful, and I imagine this cavalier attitude towards other people's time was what one disgruntled technician was divulging during our chat while I was waiting. The tech was quitting that day because Youssef had neglected to pay her employees for a week. I didn't want to dive into her office drama, but I opted to cut my losses and find another optician. The only thing worse than a doctor who fancies their vanity more than their patients is an underpaid and disgruntled staff, who might not be as motivated to find your chart or answer the phone when it's been two months and your contact lenses still haven't arrived. read more

On October 18th I purchased a frame and ordered reading glasses ground in on the bottom and clear on the top. 18 days later I received my glasses but the reading portions were not set the same distance from the center so I asked them to redo them properly. I found it hard to believe she was actually a professional and after spending the short time I did with her, as she had to step out for a phone call and sent a text message in front of me during my exam, no apologies or explanation if she is indeed a Doctor she certainly is not professional by any means. This is my first online review and I've been thinking long for it. I don't judge people easily until the truth proves, that's my usual believe. If you need a fancy place to shop your glasses, this might be one of your choices. Don't recommend totally if you need professional job done or opinions from this facility. This store seems unattendant whatsoever. Dr only shows up couple days a week and all followups take forever or none. Who believe I spent money and time for contacts almost 2 years, ended nothing for my eyes. She said the lab had been trying and couldn't make the right one. She referred me to other Dr offices for surgery consultations. I decided opt out the surgery at the end and asked credit for a wearing glasses which I didn't want to till her lab can't provide the contacts. Wrote message to Dr and I was told that she will review my profile. Again, it took another whatsoever time to answer. She and her employees never follow my case. After repeated calls during the weeks, the employee told me the manager had reviewed my case and just waited for doctors approval. Another weeks gone, no calls. I wrote message to Dr and asked the the final approval. Ended she said she couldn't comp my contact with glasses. She needs to charge! Believe me, this is totally a "face lift" vs "face off" attitudes. She told me she had several advanced labs to work with and I eventually will get my contacts. That's why I paid all the charges during past 2 years. She mentioned she couldn't charge free for all consultations. First, I didn't request surgent's consultations. She was the one offered after her labs failed. Second, where is her promise to provide my contact when I first visit?! The overall experiences is unacceptable and unpleasant.
