I've been coming to see Dr. Malik for years and he is just phenomenal. He takes his time, and makes sure you are completely satisfied before sending you out. This year however my prescription was not correct. This office moved heaven and earth to get me taken care of and get the situation resolved in a way that was fair for me financially. It is an interesting vibe in here, very eclectic and different. Not your typical eye doctors office. My only complaint was that they carried more brands of glasses and more common styles for the everyday woman. The last few times I have taken my script elsewhere to buy frames because everything is too unique for me here. But I cannot recommend Dr. Malik enough! read more

As soon as I stepped in this place, I realized I wasn't at a typical retail glasses store. Edward/Dr. Malik/owner makes you feel like you've stepped into his home and you are the star guest. Not once have I ever had a more personalized experience at any optometrist's office; let alone doctor's office or retail space. Dr. Malik did all of the usual things I would expect in an eye exam, but took several steps beyond to make it more intuitive and meaningful. I actually understood the importance of what we were doing because of the way he would articulate his process. The man is an artist. Now, let's talk about the selection in the shop. I mentioned earlier that this place is like stepping into Dr. Malik's home. Everything on display here is an homage to that sentiment. He will tell you about the richness and history of any brand in the store. If a specific frame happens to have a unique story surrounding it, Dr. Malik will know. This entire place is more of his art gallery than it is a shop. The warm environment, the music playing, all the way down to the vintage furniture complement it perfectly. This place is so cool, man. I am proud to spend my hard earned money here and I don't see myself walking into any other optometrist's office as long as I live in vegas. i loved everything about Dr. Malik and his 'office' - he says he could never work in a cubicle and walking into his practice you'll see why. There is a wide selection of frames as well as his cool collection of music posters (most of which are signed). Super refreshing to see the personality of the doctor reflected in a medical office. Usually when you go to the doctors office, everything is bright white, surgically clean and filled with tacky posters. The medical assistants Kyle and Allen were able to answer all of my questions. Allen took care of my pre-tests and was super gentle with my eyelash extensions. It took about 10-15 minutes Dr. Malik himself is super knowledgeable and gave me options based on what i felt i needed. He explained why certain options may be better than others and made the whole process very easy for someone who knows ... basically nothing about contacts. This facility is a fraudulent, they took my 2 years vision benefits from my medical advantage plan with in 5 months from month of Sept 2024 the first time they took my eye exam and they perform another eye exam for second time in January 2025. I told them that I feel nausea to the prescription glasses they gave me and never wear it in any single day, I can't even re-imburse the out of pocket money I paid them. They're not considerate to fix my glasses after you paid them and it is a fraud because they took advantage of my two years vision eye exam benefits with out fixing the problem they started. I am literally inside my car with a lump in my throat because I am emotional. I went to Dr.Malik two years prior because I always frequented the Trader Joe's and wanted to try this eye place out. I remember the cool aesthetic and how detail oriented the doctor was! I really liked this place but then my insurance changed. So,I tried places that were accepted and free through my insurance so I couldn't see him after that first time. Now I am never going anywhere else. A little background is that I have been dealing with dry eyes and my right eye progressively gets worse and blurry throughout the day. It gets so bad at night I absolutely fear for my life while driving because all the lights gets huge rings around them. This has been going on for about two weeks now. It was so sudden especially since I got new glasses in May this year so 5 months ago. I was so desperate I knew I had to get them checked out. I saw someone at the center for sight and all they did was prescribe me some ointment and told me to make an appointment for next year! I went home disappointed because I knew something was wrong. I was so desperate I ordered an eye massager, eye lid wipes, rinsed my eyes in warm water for 5 min, put in systane and refresh eye drops and even purchased blue light glasses.... Then I knew I had to go get them checked for new glasses when I couldn't even see the street names when I was driving home.... So I called Dr.Malik's office. They squeezed me in last minute. Dr. Malik sat down with me and did extra testing so he can get to the bottom of this. He noticed my numbers changed a lot from two years prior and looked at my prescription numbers from other eye places too. He took the time to listen to my story and how I purchased a lot to save my eyes since I couldn't really see much at night. I didn't even ask but he emailed and faxed and even gave me a copy of a letter to the medical eye doctor that saw me last week to retest me and to actually give me more treatment for my dry eyes. The consideration and time he took to walk me through what I had and what they could do for my eyes..... he said I shouldn't go through this at 31 years of age and something definitely is going on. He validated my feelings. I am so thankful. he said to call that office and make an appointment if I don't hear anything from them. He is truly an angel and I'm so thankful he helped me. He advocated for me in the best way possible I didn't expect walking in. I just thought I would maybe get a different prescription for my glasses! Not only is he kind, his whole staff is too! When I worked in Bay Area tech with excellent health insurance, I was used to medically excellent doctors. But many of them seemed always too rushed to answer questions. They messed up my frame. Admitted they didn't know what they were doing and had to Google it to find out. Put in new lenses and was so poorly done that when I complained they spent more time getting mad at me that I complained then trying to fix the situation. The best fix they had was to send away my only pair of glasses. When I asked what they expected me to do without glasses, the immediate fix was to give me my money back. My daughter and I made our first visit here and I'm so glad I chose this place (thanks Yelp) Rock n' Roll atmosphere/decor with very professional and caring staff. Everyone went above and beyond to make it such a fun experience. Front desk staff was very sweet. Dr. Malik's assistant was amazing! (I know her name but don't want to spell it wrong) I had to bring my youngest child with us because I didn't have anyone else to watch her. She included my youngest by allowing her to be her little assistant. She was so happy. Dr. Malik knows what he is doing! I was having a hard time with a previous prescription given to me by another optometrist. He was able to quickly find a prescription for me, yet proceeded to be very thorough in his eye examination. I could not believe how crisp and clear everything looked to me. A world of difference. He also gave me eye drop samples to keep my eyes from being dry. Dr. Malik was so pleasant to talk to and I felt taken care of. He also helped my daughter and explained what was going on with her eyes. After visiting with Dr. Malik, we got to pick out our glasses. Valentino assisted us with that. My daughter picked hers out and he confirmed that it was a good fit. Then he helped me with finding both prescription sun glasses and regular ones. I am an indecisive person at times and he was so patient. I must have tried on a hundred frames :) It was like shopping with a friend. He went over pricing options and insurance. What a change in experience. I called back and spoke with the office manager Valentino about my experience and he kindly rescheduled my appointment for a time that worked better for me. I felt a lot better after our conversation. Fast Forward The morning of the appointment, I received a reminder phone call. A call from the office staff of my possible co-pays (which I very much appreciated) and a text reminder a few hours before. This was already turning out to be a better experience. Once in the office, it was a completely different atmosphere. I was greet immediately upon entering and checked in. The Medical Technician worked to get me back as soon as she could to triage. She explained to me the current situation and we had mindful conversation. I actually felt the warmth. While waiting for the Doctor, I had the chance to truly experience the beauty of the shop. The eclectic artwork, vintage frames, warm furniture, and real jazz made the atmosphere feel less like a Eyeglass shop and more like an Eye Wear Museum. Quite the ambiance. I've been wearing glasses my whole life, and never have I ever been to a shop quite this cool. I don't have the words to truly describe my experience with Dr. Malik, but he has to be the best Optician I have ever met. He is patient and understanding. He took the time to explain my eye condition, thoroughly examine me, and thoughtfully discussed all possible treatments with me.
