We have been coming to see Dr. Hui for 5+ years now. We appreciate how efficient and knowledgeable he is. The office staff is helpful and scheduling an appointment is really easy using their online system. We currently don't have vision insurance and that cash rate for exams is very reasonable. I have been going to Allen for years... He is the absolute best. Dr Allen is very knowledgeable, makes you feel comfortable as a patient, and provides the best care possible. Since I moved to Henderson I went to another optometrist last year, however was not even comparable. Unfortunately, Dr Alan doesn't take my insurance, however I will continue to go to him and drive the extra mile due to his services. We went in the other day because my husband wanted contacts. Not too many places take walk ins so we got really lucky when we went into Sams and seen they had a optical dept. Contact exam is $95.00 approx 10-20$ cheaper than some of the other places we called. We walked into the Dr. Office and my husband was very happy he was going to be his 3:30 appointment, so about a 30 min wait after filling out the paperwork we did not have to wait long before he went in. I waited in the waiting area and was talking to 2 girls, one that just came out of his office and her sister.They were so nice and made me laugh after all that I had been going through they were a trip and I was happy they were there to talk to! My husband came out and was excited he could see with his new contacts. He said this Dr was one of the best he had been to. And were happy that he has been at this location for like 8 years so it sounds like we won't have to worry about him going anywhere else, He said the whole experience with the Dr. was awesome he was patient with him while he tried another pair of contacts and did not seem in a hurry at all answered all his questions and he was very happy with the outcome! I visit doctor Hui for for eye exam, the receptionist is nice. It's very small office located in the sam's club. There is a little side door you can get in without go into the sam's club. My appointment time was 2 pm, I went there and wait about 20 min for the doctor, which is pretty long for me. The doctor was nice and patient, he answered my questions and suggested me to go somewhere cheap to get my contact lenses. I would like to go back for eye exam next year, PS: if they can offer discount would be perfect. read more

I honestly hadn't gone to an optometrist in roughly 6 years, since I had LASIK done awhile ago, but after getting a vision screening and seeing the results, figured it was time to try it again. I generally look online for reviews, but honestly, I was in a bind and needed to be seen quickly, so I went back to the good ol' Sam's Club (first, Serene and Eastern, but after being denied, called the Arroyo location) and called to see if there was any availability for this past weekend. Luckily, I was able to be seen by Dr. Hui on such short notice--calling for an appointment the day before, but then I kept having to move the appointment back due to some other schedule conflicts. I finally walked in about 1.5 hours after the initial time that I had scheduled an appointment, but it was still ok. I signed in as soon as I got there, filled out a questionnaire, then had the routine eye exam. I asked lots of questions, since I let Dr. Hui know that I'd had LASIK in the past (faint scarring at this point), but my vision was still intact. Many hours of computer work and some night driving have made the surgery fade, so I'm waiting til I can get that corrected. However, Dr. Hui made sure to explain every step of the testing and the rationale behind why these tests were necessary/what he was testing for. I felt pretty comfortable, which is always a good sign, then got a light prescription for glasses (HD vs. non-HD according to the Doc). I paid at the end, (no insurance, regular exam is $65), took my prescription, and swiped some Easter candy--don't judge, they would've gone to waste, lol. Then, I went next door to get my prescription filled after thanking Dr. Hui and his front office person. For good customer service and value, I definitely recommend seeing Dr. Hui. Whenever I need to have another eye exam, I'll definitely come back and see him. read more

My family has been long time patients of Dr. Hui, and unfortunately, our insurance has changed and we are no longer covered for Dr. Hui's practice. We had to switch optometrist and my whole family has had problems with our new optometrist that range from wrong prescription for both contacts and glasses to having horrible headaches because of the said mishaps regarding the wrong prescriptions. This year, we went back to Dr. Hui and paid for our visits out of pocket. Is it worth paying out of pocket for a family of four?--yes it is. He switched my contacts to a new brand that has put my eyes at ease and less susceptible to dry eyes. I can't recommend Dr. Hui highly enough and will continue to support his practice. read more

Highly recommended. Quick process, clean office, professional & super nice. Dr. Hui & the front desk receptionist were kind & professional. I scheduled an eye exam for contacts & glasses. It was a smooth process. Walked in, filled out paper work, sat down for a moment then had my pupils dilated. Had a seat for a minute, then went in for the eye exam. Dr. Hui answered all of my questions. He was thorough about the fit of my lenses. I have an astigmatism in both eyes. Lucky me. The fit, obviously, is very important. Dr. Hui is extremely nice and approachable. I only get my vision checked every two years so I am not too particular where I go. However, two years ago I came here and was extremely satisfied. This time around I went on his website and made the appointment online. Today was my appointment and once again Dr. Hui's friendliness was appeasing. I can tell he has his patient's best interests in mind by the way he interacts. He is even personable during the eye exam by professional remarks here and there. He was extremely busy because I noticed he doesn't even get a break in between patients but goes one right after another. Despite his busyness, the exam period didn't feel rushed at all, but at the same time he works efficiently. Kudos to Dr. Hui for running a smooth practice. Found this place on trusty Yelp and was thoroughly surprised. First off I was trying to find a place that wasn't fully booked as I was trying to get a last minute eye exam since I ran out of contacts. Called this place around 230 and they had a opening at 430. Had to call them because I couldn't find the place since it was located in Sams club. No need for a membership. The receptionist was friendly and helpful and after I filled out the appropriate paperwork I went in to get my eye examed. I've had many eye exams before but this place seemed really thorough and tested for everything. Even my depth perception and peripherals. The optometrist was very helpful and fave me a bunch of samples for eye solution and contacts. He gave some samples for ciba vision dailies total 1. These rock but at a dollar per contact for daily lenses out of my budget. By far the most comfortable contacts I have ever tried. He told me that price would probably drop after about a year so I'll be waiting till then to actually purchase. Also they don't sell glasses or contacts here. Sams club has another store just for that no membership needed. read more

Small office but it's just right! Dr Hui is nice and works thoroughly. He explained my prescription to me (step by step) so I can order my new frames online. The only part that wasn't pleasant was the (new) receptionist? He initially told me they didn't take my health insurance...I walked in anyway and the girl receptionist told me otherwise and got me in right away. She explained to me that my insurance did cover an eye exam. In the end, that same receptionist guy let me know the price of my eye exam. The doctor had to correct him. After shopping around for a reasonably priced eye exam with a contact lens fitting, I decided to see Dr. Hui. He is exceptionally kind. Throughout each part of the exam, he explained what each machine did and was incredibly helpful at answering any questions I had. They were able to squeeze me in last minute when I had a dilemma with my contact lenses. Long story short-- I was visiting from out of town and needed contacts stat but my prescription was expired. I was able to see Dr. Hui and he was quick but thorough during my appointment and I was able to walk out with fresh contacts to use for the remainder of my stay in Vegas. The price of an exam was very reasonable even though my insurance wasn't accepted. Stephanie even tracked down paperwork so I can try and recoup some money from my insurance provider. Dr Hui was quick, thorough and very professional with the exam. The practice is located inside Sam's Club (no membership needed) and you can fill your prescription at the optical center next door so totally convenient! Wonderful Dr of Optometry! I've been here two times. Once for myself and once for my dad. Me: I walked in for a general eye exam. it wasn't busy and he was able to take me with no wait time. Dr. Hui was calm and through. he explained everything he was doing and even answered my silly eye questions. SUPERRR NICE Dr. i had a wonderful experience. i was in and out no in time. Daddy: Since i had such a wonderful experience i brought my daddy in to see Dr. Hui. He was having some trouble seeing from his newest pair of glasses he got from another location. let me say this Dr is PATIENT! Daddy is too nice to say he can't see until he actually needs to see. This place was great! Dr. Allen Hui was very informative about everything he was doing , and the process was very quick and simple. The entrance for non sams club members is to the right of the main entrance , under a white sign that says "eye exams". I was a first time customer to this establishment and the entire process including filling out my information and the general eye exam only took about 30 minutes. At $65( for glasses prescription) this place is cheaper than Costco and other optometrist around the area. Five stars for speed, quality, and friendliness ! read more
