Love this office but I couldn't give 5 stars because they have a pair of frames there that fit me perfectly, love the color, love the style and all in between. Well I couldn't afford them even though my insurance pays $100 towards them. So I've been without glasses to see my options elsewhere. I look online and the exact pair of glasses that they charge over $200 for are only $79.00-$99.00 at every single place I looked. That's quite the markup for some frames. I am so disappointed considering they know I am to pay cash if it's over $100. I will be purchasing them elsewhere and getting all of the extras for my lenses to include scratch resistance and glare resistance and even a special coating to prevent fingerprints and smudges. All for only $200 for everything and I have to get progressive lenses. Now that's a whole lot better than almost $300 or over for a pair of glasses that I absolutely need. I will get my exams there but that's about it from now on because I love the staff and doctors. read more

when i went here for an eye exam, i was taken into the dark room where you look at the house in distance and the blow in your eye thing. and during switches from one machine to the other, i see one of the workers (the young hispanic one probably my age in 20s with the glasses; usually the one who helps w your contacts) in the doorway telling his other coworker about the birthmark on my back. i saw him point and laugh with her quietly. my birthmark is pretty medium sized, very noticeable while i wore my thin strapped romper. it was overall just very childish and unprofessional to talk about your clients like this. stopped going here for that reason. i was always insecure about my birthmark and now i have another reason to be. i may be blind but i'm not blind enough to see you giggling w your coworker about an insecurity of mine. read more

Once you check in, you are very quickly seen by a very courteous and knowledgeable staff. They notonly check your eyesight, but they check your vision on several other diagnostic instruments as well. I brought my then 8 yr old daughter in to this office last year to get her eyes examined because she was coming home from school with red eyes and complained of headaches. I had taken her to LensCrafters on w Lake Mead a year before for the same problem and they said she was fine just sit closer to the teacher if needed. Well a year later here we were and Dr. Hernandez is absolutely one of the most courteous, professional, informative and honest eye docs I've ever been in contact with here in Las Vegas and I'm born and raised here. He made my daughter comfortable which is a must when it comes to any type of doctor and their staff. Well we found out she has an astigmatism. I couldn't believe how bad her eyes had gotten until I heard her reading the letters she saw out loud and I had to physically get up and look at the letters when she said them. It was crazy I had never seen this before. She was saying she saw letters that I didn't see. I gave permission for him to dilate her eyes to get a true diagnosis and yupp she had an astigmatism. Absolutely worried me to the extreme until he took he time to explain what it was and why she sees the letters that way. So got prescription that she has worn religiously as he requested to correct it and today we go back for a year after check up. Can't wait to see the results. Also his staff gets major kudos from me!!!! Her first pair of glasses so of course we had a few replacements. First it was because the lens popped out and never would stay back in. They simply called and requested the replacements and we got them within a week I think if I can remember that far back lol. Then the new pair didn't have the scratch resistance we requested and again due to the company that handles the glasses not adding that request, we got another replacement within a week. Awesome sauce!!!!! Not only did we get replacements, we got to keep the old pairs and let me tell you, they came in handy when she couldn't find her new pair. Assuring she got to always have a pair on her eyes to see properly!!! Thank you Buena vision and she is so excited to come in today and if she needs to still wear glasses she is soooooo ready for new frames, she is getting her own stylish ways now and will choose them on her own this time. ‍‍‍ read more

I'm not sure why I went back after being treated disrespectfully by Dr. Hernandez in 2014, but I thought I'd give him a second chance. He was, again, arrogant & extremely rude a year later. He led me to believe that something horrible was going on with my eyes because of "overwearing" my contact lenses. The next day I went to a very reputable optometrist who was kind and caring. After a thorough exam that included scans of my retina and optic nerve, I was told that my eyes are very healthy! I would definitely NOT recommend Dr. Hernandez, although his office staff is nice. read more

I will say I have been a patient with Dr. Hernandez for years! Yes his staff are great, but I'm not there for his staff, it's his care, patience and hands on Practice that keeps me coming back. He doesn't just shine a light in your eyes and send you on your way. He takes his time to give u the proper advice, prescription (if needed) and let's you know upfront the condition of your eyes. If he states the condition of ur eyes r not good, u better believe he's not kidding. I'm a pro at over wearing my contacts and since I've followed his instructions my eyes are not irritated anymore! Just got done with my first visit at Dr. Gabriel Hernandez's office. I must say I was a bit hesitant to make my appointment with him at first, due to some other reviews that may or may not be about him at other locations, but since there wasn't any reviews about him at this location I decided to give them a try. I was pleasantly surprised to see that from the first moment I called until the end of my appointment today, my experience was pretty darn awesome! His staff was super friendly from start to finish, and Dr. Hernandez was super nice, informative and concerned. I have been wearing contacts and glasses since I was a kid and I have to be honest, in the past 20 years I have never had such an awesome experience with both staff and doctor. It's usually one or the other that I like or dislike. Here, both team and doctor make a great combo! I took my 2 boys here for the first time to have their eyes checked since I noticed a lot of squinting. They are 4 and 5. Well this Dr. Hernandez is a douche. He told me my 5 yr old his color blind, got nasty when I refused him dilating their eyes and tried to treat me like I was being paranoid. News flash, I have a Psyd in psychology so I'm not a young dumb parent. My husband and I didn't think it was needed. He then proceeded to tell me my 5 yr old was all but blind and wag his finger at me for not addressing his vision sooner. He said he was the worst case he had seen. He didn't even examine my 4 yr old past the letters and picture test and determined he was WORSE then his brother....Really? If my kids were severely impaired like he said why don't they have accidents walking or bump into things? My kids can freaking see they just needed some glasses. He led me to believe my kids may not even be able to get a drivers license later. He is over the top and I had my boys see someone else who gave a real diagnosis, astigmatism. Plain and simple. They need a simple prescription not the outrageous one he gave my 5 yr old for glasses. He is indeed very arrogant and tries to talk with authority like it will make you roll over and do what he says. Will NEVER see this man again... read more
