The initial eye check up with Dr Nagel was great. But the follow ups via phone calls regarding getting the Dr to rewrite the prescription was frustrating. The phone receptionist are clueless & forever placed you on hold. They don't do what they say & say what they mean. They claim they will call back & days & weeks will pass & never get a phone call back & the rewritten prescription requested is not done!!! OMG poor customer service!! Unbelievable all I ask is to have my contact lenses be rewritten for biweekly not monthly especially I was diagnosed with severe dry eyes why would I want monthly contacts? Dr Nagel was thorough in eye checking but ensuring all will be well with the patient after all fails! No quality of service is ever good when follow up to ensure all is well after makes a lasting impression on any patient. I hope this review will better improve your customer service & patient Dr relationship so more loyal customers will continue to go to your office for years to come. read more

Came in for the first time for an eye exam with Dr. Nagel; she is so friendly! Their entire staff is helpful and friendly. Their tech Amber, was super courteous and friendly as well. The office there is clean and spacious. The building can be tricky to find. When you enter the parking lot off of Sahara, drive through the plaza and its on your left. I broke my glasses over the weekend--actually, I didn't--I lost a screw from a different section of the glasses and needed to replace mine. I went to my ophthalmologist who is nearby and they did a new exam to get a prescription. The glasses I'm using are probably about 4 years old. When I talked about getting glasses, I was told that they no longer sell them and they recommended going to Vision Source which is very close by. I drove down the street that runs inside this park and was soon at Vision Source. I took a seat and then realized with all the people there that I should have checked in. When I went to the desk and asked about checking in, Autumn told me to have a seat at one of their stations where the glasses are done. We talked about the price, what I wanted--transitions, no line bifocals, and whether I wanted gray or brown tint. We then went to a counter where she pulled out two drawers to look at frames. It was quick and I pickled a frame different from what I've had in the past. Back at the table, she did all the measurements and then used an iPad (should that be Eye-pad?) to make the measurements needed for proper fit. I was in and out in less than a half hour. Autumn was a very knowledgable, friendly, vivacious person who made this process so easy! If the glasses are as good as I expect they'll be, I'll be back here in the future. I've searched for a ophthalmologist for my daughter that is near our place anD of-course I have to base it with the place reputation and reviews. Made an appointment no problem no hassle at all. And when the day of came waited for a bit and we got helped right away, gave the insurance and all that info, and then a guy helped my daughter to do a coupLe Of test, he was really nice and explaining stuff, my daughter liked him and when we pick her glasses up she just had to say hi to him sorry I'm bad with names ‍ Anyways after all the basic test we got into a room Waited for tHe Doctor asked questions and started doing the eye exams on her and end up with astigmatism so she end up having glasses. The Doctor was great he's pretty good with my daughter! I think we had Doctor Lee. Waited for her glasses 7-10 days they texted me that it was ready to pick up. We had to come back to adjust the size of the glasses cauSe it keeps falling and after weeks it starts falling again it's just needs constant adjusting for it. read more

Eye doctors are great, however, office staff is horrendous. I had called initially to confirm that they accept my insurance to which they did - even confirmed with my insurance that they are partnered. After doing my eye exam, they stated that they in fact could not process my insurance and I would have to pay out of pocket. I spent nearly an hour after the exam trying to get them to use my insurance - even had insurance speak directly to them via phone. In the end, they found my insurance but did not want to bill via third party so i still had to pay out of pocket and was instructed to just submit my payment for reimbursement to which i did. Whelp, because they are partnered with my insurance, i cannot be reimbursed via insurance. The provider would need to submit a claim to my insurance then once my insurance pays them, they can issue me a refund. Absolutely a mess and a headache. I will not be returning to this office and will need to wait an additional 30-45 days for my refund. Its unfortunate that the doctors have such lazy staff representing them since the doctors themselves are great. read more

Going to doctor's visits is weird since COVID. However, my first appointment at Vision Source with Dr. Beckwith was fantastic. My previous eye doctor was in Illinois, and my prescription was super old. To compound matters, I was out of contacts! Can't have that. I viewed my insurance's website and compared it to various reviews when I landed on this location. I am so glad I did! Dr. Beckwith and all of his staff were incredibly warm and helpful. Plus, there were COVID precautions every step of the way. Despite it being my first appointment, I felt like I'd been a patient for years based on how wonderfully I was treated. Tammy helped me order some contacts. I got a fantastic deal on a 12-month supply, plus it came with a rebate which is always fun. Overall, I am incredibly pleased with my experience at Vision Source and with all of the staff here. It's been a couple years since I got my eyes checked, and Dr. Nagel was highly recommended by coworkers and conveniently located by the office. I went in on Halloween to a friendly fully-staffed office and everything was quick and easy. I especially like how personable Dr. Nagel herself was, and how the staff were informative about explaining each step of the exam. I opted for contacts, but like how the glasses selection here trends toward the name brand (Tiffany, Prada, Coach, Kate Spade). I was informed that they also have frame and lens specials under $200. Went here in 2022 for my eye exam, everything seemed fine and I still have the glasses. I have horrible vision and have to go every year. I tried for contacts. Beckwith couldn't get the prescription right after 7 different trial pairs. I went this year for new glasses. I had 2 different eye exams, because the first one was wrong, along with the glasses. I returned the glasses because I couldn't see after having 2 different pairs. They returned everything on the insurance, but wouldn't release the eye exam because they did the service, even though the service they provided me was wrong. If you want your prescription to be correct, do not go to this place. read more

After the fact I found out several of my friends go to this particular location and love it as well. The front desk staff was extraordinarily warm and friendly. I hadn't had an eye exam in 10 years so I was nervous and asking a ton of questions. They never made me feel silly. Dr Nagel was thorough and informative. I felt like I was in very capable hands. And finally, Mary spent about 45 minutes with me. She was awesome with eyewear recommendations and for helping me choose final pair. (So much to decide with all the lens types let alone the frames.). My go to and favorite vision doctor/optical store and I've been to a lot of them before finding this one because I was never satisfied. First off, Dr. Nagel is awesome; she's nice, professional and explains everything to you so that you understand. If you have a question, she'll take her time to discuss it with you until you understand and doesn't just rush in and out like most other doctors I've seen elsewhere. The staff at the front desk and in the optical center are just as helpful too, they are always ready to answer questions about glasses, contacts or insurance whether in person or on the phone. I went in for the 2nd time this year to ask about getting prescription sunglasses and the optical technician, Ben, took his time to answer my questions about my insurance and calculated my out of pocket price several times based on different options I could get. He was not pushy in terms of getting me to add options and instead just explained why each one was good and which ones were nice to have but not really necessary. I have never had a bad experience here and have come here for the last 3 years. read more

I went here for an eye exam about 9 months ago with Alissa Nagel. I found her and her team amazing, they were courteous, respectful, knowledgeable and eager to help. Most of all they were far from pushy. I ended up not purchasing glasses then. Fast forward 9 months to today, my glasses are lost and I am in need of them before I leave for vacation. Enter the team at Vision Source, starting with Autumn who received my call, got answers to insurance questions, availability and turn around time in a prompt fashion. Autumn then got me scheduled the same day and greeted me when I arrived. Both she and Rachael at the front desk make you feel right at home. From there I worked with Desirei who just makes you smile as she takes you through all the tests Dr. Nagel has done to ensure she is providing you the best course of care for your eyes. I have to say, at this point the consistency from last year to this year and the wonderful attitude of everyone is really winning me over. After finishing with Desirei and the tests it is on to Dr. Nagel. Dr. Nagel explains things in a way that makes you feel appreciated and important. I learned about options I had that I did not even know existed. Dr. Nagel gives sound, useful advice and seeks to find a solution that works for her patient and not necessarily her pocketbook. That is true caring. I was shown how to put on my contacts and remove them with patience and they made sure I was 100% comfortable with the process. I cannot say enough about these folks as I sit here at my computer seeing clearly and feeling great. Vision Source and Dr. Nagel have a customer for life. Do yourself a favor and support your local business versus the big box store. The treatment and relationship make a huge difference. I would like to add that this team was identical to the one I encountered my first visit in August of 2017. When team members stay somewhere that says something about the business. it appears that the doctors are good but their office handling is terrible. i was trying to verify they accept my insurance plan and the gal i was talking did not have a clue if they accepted the plan and made no effort to find out. i was placed on hold when she answered and then 3 more times (im sorry....be right back).... total waste of my time....she didn"t even recognize the insurance companys name......i was taking up too much of her time because she was not even polite . i told her that if they were that short on help, and didn't even know what plans they accept , i was definitly reaching a dead end. must be nice running business out the doo, and building bad reviews!!! read more

My visit to vision source was amazing. One lets start with the fact they are available on Saturdays. This was everything to me being I work during regular business hrs M-F. Second I was greeted immediately, checked in and then seen within 10-15 minutes. The office was clean and spacious. The technology used for different examinations was up to date and Dr Lee was very thorough yet swift in examining the health and functioning of my eyes and explaining where I stand. He even gave me new tips to help ease some of the eye pain I've been experiencing. Might I add this is the first office I've been to where they didn't try to shove a pair of glasses down my throat that I don't need. I'd recommend this office to everyone! read more

The two doctors on staff for my children and I were excellent, I honestly couldn't brag enough about their professionalism and personalities. However, some of their staff is not only rude but down right ignorant and should not be working in a customer service industry at all. My problem arose when we showed up at closing to pay the bill, where I was told the manager was closing up at took the payment anyways. She didn't get a receipt and didn't get changed to my daughter therefore I have no proof of my cash transaction. After calling the next day I'm confronting them I was told it was just a measly $.50 so it didn't matter. I was also told that I would have the receipt emailed to me which never happened. I called again the very next day to be told I was being rude, when I exclaimed I am not I was again told that I was. after all I had been through I felt a small attitude was worthy yet a member of the staff felt they needed to let me know that I was not allowed to have my attitude, which I never really felt I had until that was said. As a social media influencer and someone that mentors companies on customer service I found this behavior intolerable if not dismissible. If not for the doctors I'm unsure if I will conduct my business here anymore. read more

Melissa was very welcoming, wonderful listener as she helped me with the checkin process updating my insurance information and notating that I'm a current cancer patient ongoing chemotherapy. Zach is efficient, thorough with the wellness screening process and up kept with disinfecting the equipments for hygiene purposes. Dr. Beckwith educated me as we reviewed my results on the wellness screening photos and put me at ease during the eye examination as it was very difficult for me to see the letters near and far. Chris was very professional and supportive. Yesenia made my experience quick and fun fashionably choosing my very first pair of prescription eye glasses as she went over my options that my insurance covers which helped me tremendously financially as I was able to purchase 2 pairs of prescription eye glasses. I will be back for prescription contacts subscribing to their long term plans. The ambiance is well organized, clean, well stocked with prescription eye/sun glasses and there's a lot of available parking in the complex. I wear contacts and I've been going to this place ever since I almost went postal at a Lenscrafters because my eye exam took so long. The staff here is so friendly and so efficient. Dr. Beckwith is a great doctor - he takes the time to explain everything and do a thorough exam. Yet, you are in and out in less than one hour. I don't know how he does it. Either magic or not overbooking like other healthcare providers seem to do in this town. Plus, I only see him once a year yet he remembers (probably looks up) little details about my life, such as what I do for a living and where I work. Makes me feel special. :) My only complaint is that the online appointment system does not seem to work. Just call for an appointment. read more

So I got a bit envious of my BF's new sexy spectacles.. Plus, it's been over 3 years since my last exam and that definitely has changed since my vision with the glasses isn't as sharp as it should be. The BF got an email that they were running a special that when you buy frames, you get single vision lens +anti glare treatment for free. If you don't have vision insurance like me then any savings like this is significant- worth about $200 alone. I chose some lovely maroon Fendi's, with gold hardware and F embossed sides (model 720R color 613- pics are posted). So happy to find these since they're different, but not too outlandish and definitely complimentary to my face. They were one of the most expensive pairs in the show room, but you gotta LOVE something that is on you everyday. I got a exam by Dr. Lee who was very friendly and approachable. He went through all the tests they ran and showed me the results and pictures while explaining what it all means.I liked this approach to patients a lot. Most optometrist just told me the basics and look irritated when I started to ask about my eyes. I have a bit of a nerd streak so I like seeing pictures of my veins and retina, I like being informed about my eyes. I do not recall some of these test being in my last exam and the technician did say that some of these are very new technology like they do a test to measure peripherals/ blind spots for HD iZon lenses and the advanced camera that can take pictures of the inside of your eye to look at vein health (for years was a add-on test and not standard). Sure, the test is more expensive than the average optometrist I've used, but I think this beats going to Costco to know more about my eyes. It's important for individuals like me who have had additional problems beyond vision to have a place that is also thorough looking into the health of my eye. With the free lenses plus a 20% discount they throw into the exam if you get basic exam+ contact lens perscription, I saved maybe $240ish and paid $457. Though the cost of everything is high to get good quality glasses and care, I feel got good value for my money. read more

Worst customer service ever. Paid over 500.00 for a pair of glasses. Was told could pick them up in two weeks. After 2 weeks I called several times to see if ready. The people I talked to, made every excuse in the book But no apologies or offers to figure out a solution. After 3 weeks, talked to store manager. He gave assurances to follow up with lab and keep me posted. After no follow ups at all I asked for a refund. never got any apologies or anything from anyone in lobby. I have been a customer for awhile and have purchased several pairs of glasses. Also, my whole family goes there for glasses and contacts. No more, we will never go back. read more

Dr. Beckwith has a loyal patient for life! When you've worked in the medical field for over 20 years, you know an amazing practice when you see one. This place is one! Calling first thing this morning, I was told the next available eye exam was 3 days away. That's impressive but even more so, I explained my symptoms and they were able to fit me in today. Their COVID-19 protocol was thorough and professional. I was seen on time (actually a little early!) and every person with whom I interacted was nice, professional and went beyond what I feel is standard care. Dr. Beckwith was so thorough, explaining everything to me in layman's terms, using a model of the eye for clarity and answering all my questions. Not even once did I feel rushed. All equipment that was used to test my eyes was very new technology...several machines had to be used due to my symptoms.
