I came in to use my insurance for the first time and the whole experience was amazing! The front desk lady asked to see my glasses, to see the prescription, and when she returned them, she tightened them and cleaned them! I was so excited, she also offered to have the nose pads changed since one was missing. She was so nice ! The doctor was very patient and friendly, and answered all question I asked, as well as told me information I didn't even know I should ask! She helped me get the right contacts and put them in my eyes when I let her know i was still learning. She gave me a weeks worth to try as well. Fast forward the following week, I let the front desk lady know that they weren't comfortable and it was hard to use them, they immediately changed me to something softer and better, with another weeks worth to sample! This in reply of owner response. What you stated about email or text confirmation never happened. So not sure why you're bringing that up. It was certified over phone. Date set. No other follow up from your business happened. And yes, I did receive service and also drove a long distance to receive service. Can you imagine booking an appointment where everything was verified over phone? Being put on hold while insurance is being verified? Solidifying a date and time for an appointment? Then, when you arrive, you're told by a staff member, who was rude and irritated, that "we don't take your insurance"?! This appointment was made in advance and I should have been notified, by your standards I should have been, but sadly wasn't. A review doesn't need to be about if I actually had you do my eyeglass or contact prescription. I had a situation with your company that wasn't great. That's what this review is based on. Thank you for responding even though you weren't involved or know exactly the details, but putting things in quotes trying to demerit my experience is just silly. Just tell your staff to do better and keep things like this from happening. But by your response I see accountability isn't apart of your company policy. Just be better. read more

My initial visit here was perhaps the most pleasant and enlightening experience I've ever had with an eye doctor. My exam and consult with Dr. Piñon was thorough and she provided constructive and beneficial feedback about my eye health. Additionally, she provided helpful methods on how to take care and maintain healthy vision. I was comfortable to convey any concerns or to ask her any questions I had and did not feel rushed to do so. The front office staff were also very pleasant to do business with and they helped me make the best use of my insurance benefits. I went to this place thinking they were going to treat me differently cause I'm on Medicaid and I looked a little rough this morning lol but only cuz I'm a mom, full time student and I worked all night. Butttt they were so friendly! The young lady greeted me when I walked in and went over what I needed to fill in and sign. The lady up front was so friendly and I think she could tell I was a bit anxious so she helped me pick out some glasses and just had a calming presence! The doctors and staff there are extremely friendly and are very talkative but in a good way not in a "im better" type of way! It is extremely clean and I really recommend this place to anyone! Any medical office can be intimidating but the energy and the vibe here is really good. You can tell there is never any hostility in there !! Dr. Piñon is a wonderful doctor and gave me the most thorough eye exam I have ever had. I had my previous eye doctor for 30 years until he retired, and I thought he was great but Dr. Piñon is even better. I was overdue for an eye exam for because I wasn't satisfied with any of the other eye doctors I had been to since my previous eye doctor retired. I made an appointment for an eye exam with Viso Vision after getting a quote that was cheaper than the last eye doctor I went to who barely spent any time with me. When I went for my exam I noted on the patient paperwork that I was suffering from eye irritation and redness. I have had eye redness for many years but the irritation had started recently. All my previous eye doctors including the one I had for 30 years, told me the redness was from overwearing my contact lenses and offered no solutions. Despite only making an appointment for an eye exam and contact lens fitting (and not mentioning my eye irritation and redness until I filled out the patient paperwork) Dr. Piñon spent a lot of time with me. She did some tests and determined I had dry eye. She explained what that is and why it is prevalent where we live. She told me about, and showed me products (some of which I never knew existed) I could use to combat my dry and red eyes along with things I can do at home to help. She also took the time to demonstrate how they should be applied and in what amounts and gave me a paper with the info so I wouldn't forget. She does not sell these products so was not pushing them to make money. In fact she even told me where I could buy them cheaper such as at Costco. Dr. Piñon spent about 90 minutes with me (my previous eye doctor only spent 10 minutes) but did not charge me anymore than than the quote for a contact lens exam and fitting. Dr. Piñon is very personable, down to earth, honest, and very easy to talk to. Her knowledge is incredible! I had mentioned contact lens products I was using and she knew all about them including dosages, how often to use them, etc as if she has a photographic memory. I was very impressed. She ordered 3 different types of trial contact lenses for me to try and select the pair which worked best for me. My previous lenses were irritating my eyes before the end of my work day. One of the pairs she recommended, and which I selected are so comfortable that it feels like I am not wearing them at all. The redness in my eyes has also disappeared. My eyes used to be bloodshot halfway through my work day and co-workers would comment about them. Now I can go the entire day and they don't get red. I could have purchased my new contact lenses online for less money but I was so happy and thankful to have found Dr. Piñon that I purchased them from Vivo Vision. The price was very reasonable, while other eye doctors have charged me two to three times the online price per box. Elise, the lady who did the eye tests was very nice, professional, thorough, and takes her job seriously. I recommended Dr. Piñon to my wife and son because i had such a great experience at Vivo Vision. My wife has had her eye doctor for over 20 years but she was so happy with Dr. Piñon and the thorough exam she received that she is permanently switching to Vivo Vision. My son was also very happy with Dr. Piñon. Like me he has been trying different eye doctors and was never satisfied with them until he had his exam at Vivo Vision. I can't end this review without mentioning Pierce. I don't wear eye glasses but my wife and son do and they were extremely happy with Pierce who is the one who helped them pick out frames. Pierce is extremely knowledgeable about frames and lenses and took the time to explain the benefits of the different types. According to my wife, Pierce is the only person who has ever made measurements on her and my son to make sure the frames fit correctly. Pierce is an expert on what looks good on you. He told my wife and son whether a frame they were thinking of buying looked too large or small for their face and they agreed with his assessment. My wife liked Pierce so much and was so thankful for his help that she said even if she had to get an eye exam somewhere else, she would still come to see Pierce to get the frames! read more

I've been to this location twice and I would really like to give a higher rating. While I love the service I received from the Dr. He was very attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. I can't ignore how rude and off putting the older lady is who sits at the back desk is. Both times I've visited her attitude towards me left me with a bad taste, there's never a kind greeting from her and the vibe she puts out is as if she's not interested in helping and almost annoyed. My second visit I brought a friend who noticed her attitude and demeanor as well. Overall I love the service I received from the Dr but due to this particular staff member I won't return, it's not a welcoming environment and customer service is non existent from the lady at the front desk. read more

I always went to Dr. Monica Piñon for my annual eye exams while her office was located inside of Sears. I was super excited when I found out that she now had a stand alone office. She is amazing at what she does, and the staff working at Vivo Vision are so polite and down to earth. I went to another optometrist for a couple of years and received both contacts and glasses. I was given the same prescription for both of my eyes for contacts even though I knew they needed different prescriptions. I was also given the most expensive brand of contact without knowing there were even other options. Dr. Pinon gave me suggestions for other contacts, a different contact prescription for each eye, and even gave me some colored contact samples! I felt like she was just way more on point with my contacts and glasses prescription. She even had in her notes that I had mentioned a few years back that I was having headaches and asked if I was still experiencing that. Amazing. After the eye appointment I went to pick my frames and go over my insurance coverage. The man that helped me broke down my insurance for me and explained everything very well. He explained each line item and the cost after insurance and made it really simply for me to pick exactly what I wanted. He even ended up picking about 8 pairs of glasses for me to try on and looked at each one with me as I went back and forth trying to decide which frames to pick. I am very impressed with how attentive he was and how he really took the time to see what glasses looked best. It was a great experience overall. I will definitely keep going to see Dr. Piñón and will be bringing my 6 year old in next week as well. I love this place. I have gone to so many other optometrist but none have been as helpful or kind as this place here. Dr. Piñon is amazing! She gave me so much information I had never received before and she was super attentive. She notices I like to have my eye lash extensions and explained how she can fix my glasses so my lashes don't bother. There was a gentleman I forgot his name but he was helpful as well. He helped me with my glasses and was informing me sunglasses. I didn't pick my glasses out the first time I went in but I went back in a week after to finally get some. I walked out with my pair of glasses that same day. This place was very friendly and affordable for someone who doesn't have insurance. I will be coming here from now on. The Dr. even had them give me a couple of color contacts to try on. The contacts she gave me she told me about the price difference between ordering with them and online. read more
