I always ask for Tiffany to do my manicure because she shapes my nails perfectly every single time, which is super important to me. She's also amazing with designs and pays so much attention to the little details, which really shows in the final result. I found this spot on yelp and wasn't sure what to expect as there were no photos of the inside. But it had glowing reviews so I tried it. The ambiance and space was clean, with an uncluttered stylish interior that was comfortable, fresh and relaxing. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I'm honestly embarrassed it took me almost a month to write this review, because the service and quality I received at AME Nail Bar were truly exceptional. Ivy did my manicure and Kathy did my pedicure--and I couldn't have been more impressed with both. My nails were breathtaking. Ivy created the most elegant red French tips over a soft nude base, and added these delicate gold accents that were absolutely mesmerizing. They caught the light in the prettiest way, and I truly couldn't stop admiring them--little details that made the whole look feel luxurious, artistic, and so me. And the best part? They lasted four full weeks with no chips, no lifting--just beautifully grown-out perfection. The pedicure, done by Kathy, was equally beautiful with dainty red floral art on my big toes. It held up well, though I trimmed them down eventually so the design is no longer visible (that was on me!). The whole experience felt special. They offered complimentary champagne during the service, and Kathy even gave me a few packets of lotion to take home--I don't know if that's something they always include, but it was such a thoughtful little gift and I really appreciated it. I had called ahead and told them I was bringing my own Gel X Apres nails with me, which are a white base instead of clear. The person on the phone didn't mention any issue, so I assumed it would be no problem. However, when I arrived for my appointment, they refused to even try using my nails, claiming they couldn't do it. They were extremely rude and dismissive, making a scene in front of other customers. Instead of being helpful or offering a solution, they acted like I was a huge inconvenience to them. Their attitude was so negative, it made me wonder if it was personal, as I felt they were almost being racist towards me. This salon has terrible customer service, and I would highly recommend avoiding them. They are unprofessional, unkind, and seem more interested in doing things their way than in helping customers. Got my nails done yesterday for my birthday! I did gel x on my hands and regular gel on my toes. I like that you can easily schedule an appointment online. I had a photo of what I wanted and the receptionist helped me figure out my colors - there's a lot to choose from but it was much faster to navigate my options with her, which I really appreciate because otherwise it's overwhelming. The vibe here is more relaxed than other places I've been to which I like. They do a warm jelly for pedicures which I haven't had before but enjoyed. Overall very happy with my nails and the price is more reasonable than other salons in this area. The technician did make two of my cuticles bleed so my nails are a tad tender, but I don't think I'll get infected. I don't live in the neighborhood , but I wanted to get my nails done before work. So I came to a nail salon near where I work. Before I left my house I just wanted to make sure they take walk-ins, so I gave them a call. They told me they do take walk-ins. They also asked me what kind of nails I was thinking of getting. I told them gel x extensions and french tip. They said "we can do it" So I drove 30 minutes and told them that I called ahead, and they said they couldn't take me in, because they were so behind on everyone. My question is why couldn't they tell me that over the phone? If they're so behind, they would've known when I called. If they have told me "we might not be able to take you in because we're so behind" or "you might have to wait" I would've either found a different salon or just stayed home. But they didn't warn me. They lied saying they could take me in and they didn't. So I had to call multiple different salons to see if anyone could squeeze me in and no one could. So I ended up spending two hours in a neighborhood that I'm not familiar with, in my car. Thanks to you guys lying to me telling me that you could take me in when you couldn't. We were looking for a walk-in and after we entered the salon and checked in, we were left seated in the massage chair for almost an hour until get pedicure services. Even after this long wait, instead of saying "sorry for the long wait" or something like that, they rushed the pedicure and wrapped up most of the pedicure steps in only 5 minutes! No proper massage, no lotions, nothing! After we complained about the rush, she tried to compensate the rushed service but, well, it was too late! I found Lulu Lash & Nails on a whim while on vacation visiting SoCal/Costa Mesa. The walk to the salon was a short distance from where I was, the timing and location was perfect. I called ahead and checked for walk in availability, this was the only salon in the area willing to take me for a walk in pedicure. From the moment I called I was impressed with the customer service. When we got to the salon everyone was friendly and accommodating. I made an appointment for just myself and my two friends along with me decided to also do walk in treatments. The team accommodated and we all were able to get services done! Overall I give Lulu lash and nails a 10/10 for customer service. I am so sad to be so far away from this salon! I was told I would get 5 extra minutes for not getting the callus remover but she quit when my hand massage was over.
