15+ screens with Standard/iMax/Real3D screens. Unfortunately imax are not having recliners. This location has bar as well and same counters of overpriced food. Lobby area is small hence sometimes so much rush if multiple shows crowd are out. Purchasing to check-in to screen redirection , everything is smooth . Although shows cost more than few other AMC locations in tempe though. read more

My wife and I took our two gradsons to see a movie. After spending an arm and a leg on tickets and food, my gradson wanted some water. He is 2 years old and needs a cup with a lid. I went to the consessions stand and asked if they had cups for water and the employee pointed to where the water station was. I said thank you and moved on to the station. When I looked at the cups, I noticed there were not any lids for the cups. I went back to the concession stand and asked for a lid. The young male employee said that they do not have lids for those cups. I explaind that the 2 yr old will probably spill it. I then stated that i am willing to pay a couple buck for a cup with a lid. The employee told me it would be $8 for a cup with a lid. I explaind it was for my grandson who was 2. He really did not care and kept saying it is $8. He was very rude. Went to go see Killers of the flower moon. it was a 7pm showing. it was just me and my boyfriend in the movie theater. there was plenty of workers when we first arrived but after an hour, me and my boyfriend took turns going to the bathroom and not once did we see a worker. walking back to the movie theater after going to the bathroom, there was an older white man going into all of the theaters then walking out clearly movie hopping. i was immediately nervous with this. after another hour of the movie, the man walked into the movie theater we were in. please take in account that we were the ONLY ONES in this movie theater. Even though we were the only ones in the theater, this man dressed in almost all black decided to sit RIGHT NEXT TO MY BOYFRIEND. the man slowly reclined his seat and repeatedly reached into his pocket for his phone to look at other movies playing in this theater. having hearing stories of movie theater shootings, this didn't make me super comfortable. it got so uncomfortable to the point i had my keys between my fingers and completely stopped watching the movie. we ended up leaving an hour early since we were so alarmed by his behavior. leaving this moving theater, there was NOT ONE employee around to report this too. i couldn't imagine what would have happened if this man did have a weapon on him. Asked the theater staff to come by and clean our seats. Not once but twice we ended having to clean this for our self. When asked for a manager there was no manger available per guest services. Usually come to this AMC, only if a friend wants or if it's on a Tuesday. They did take out the old chairs & replaced them with leather recliners. Also now you get to choose your seat before getting in the theater. So you can reserve your seat. Today I came with my friends. I got a large popcorn & the have the old fashion bucket ones. I wanted butter but I guess you need to add it your self & I went to both condiment sections & there was no butter coming out! It was only 2pm! Wouldn't they restock it. Also you can be a rewards member & on tuesdays you save a couple of bucks. Also on your birthday month you get a free large popcorn. read more

Let me start off by saying the staff here is WONDERFUL (at least the sweet kid who helped us was!) however this theater is lacking. We purchased 2 tickets to Deadpool last night that rang up to about $40. When we arrived to the theater we were informed the AC was out in 4 of their theaters including the one we had tickets for. We tried to stick it out but it had to of been close to 80-85 degrees in there. My heart goes out to the people working. For a theater in the middle of ARIZONA, do better! You'd think for what AMC is charging for snacks, drinks and tickets these days ($21 for an "8 OZ" pour of wine in a plastic cup!) you'd think you guys could at least fix the air conditioning and give your employees, and customers a better experience. read more

Went to see a movie and the theatre we were in said there was an "air conditioning problem". This was way more than just a problem, there was absolutely no air and it was around 90 degrees in the theatre. Don't recommend going to this theatre until it's fixed because this was very misleading!! So extremely disappointed, do better AMC!! read more

Please avoid this location when going to see a movie with family. We decided to go here to see Twisters in IMAX, total disappointment. The seats and cup holders were dirty. It was 30 minuets of movie previews before the movie even started. The popcorn was cold (even after getting up to get more at different times). As other reviewers have mentioned, this theatre has really dropped its cleanliness and service standards. The theatre itself is filthy. Bathrooms floors and toilets were disgusting and missing toilet paper. Popcorn was littering the carpet which was also coated with sticky soda. Seats were stained. I have gone to this theatre for its Dolby showings many times and have never seen it like this. I won't be back any time soon. When I called to complain I was compensated a free popcorn for my trouble. I am very disappointed to see this theatre in such a dreadful state. Management needs to get it together. read more

IMAX was just like the regular theater, not sure what the difference was and why I paid for it. The theater, bathrooms, and concession/waiting area was surprisingly dirty. After a year away for obvious reasons I felt confident returning after being fully vaccinated and what a disappointment. The theater, set to open at noon, opened 45 minutes late, with their QR scanner down meaning people had to scramble to print out tickets 15 minutes before a 1PM movie. My friend who is hard of hearing requested an assisted listening device that would not work. While waiting in our seats I watched them go back to speak with staff member Tabby, twice!, who proved unhelpful, saying that it would start working, and spoke in an exasperated tone, like my friends disability was an inconvenience for him. By the time the movie started and the device still wasn't working I rushed downstairs and asked if he could fix it because otherwise we needed a refund. Tabby wordlessly began the process to refund our tickets without attempting to troubleshoot and that's when I realized he likely had no idea what he was doing. So now what? Do I have to call ahead of time and work around this staff members schedule so we can encounter someone helpful? You'd think a company who was just saved by a bunch of reddit day traders would work a little harder not to turn customers away. read more

I would give this AMC IMAX ( not Harkins ) a zero if I could. The concession are was FULL when we arrived. Stood in line for 50 minutes!!! In part due to the " premium AMC + members " first shot at concessions. If a member is in line they are always served first, ok but NOT every- 3 people to the special line. There were 5 times that group size waiting way too long. It's rude quite honestly as was every concession worker, lobby workers. Ticket taker excellent - the Only positive thing. When we got our popcorn, which was not good, we went to drinks, out of 2- Yes 2- dispensers 1 held Coke ( very very long line ). So we missed everything up to beginning of movie. The bathrooms, lobby & theater were dirty, the bathroom ( M & W ) we're downright gross. The theater seats had no extras ( recline, foot rests ) and they are small and uncomfortable. ( I'm 5 foot 1 and 125 so if it's small for me well?? ) No legroom. I have been to many IMAX- majority nice - however my family will NEVER go here. Also their "club" is quite expensive. I pay nothing for Harkins club and get good rewards , as well as Harkins is clean, staff are friendly and helpful. read more

The showing of Avatar the Way of Water 2:15 matinee on Jan 10 left a lot to be desired. There was an unpleasant smell throughout the building, and the movie didn't start until almost an hour late. An audience member had to go tell the front that nothing was happening in the theater. By the time all the previews had run - for which the volume level was painfully loud - it was close to 3:15. No one came to apologize or let us know what was happening. When the film started we were pretty upset and that interferes with enjoying the first 20 minutes of a good movie. Also - the men's bathroom was closed, and the toilet in the women's room flushed 4 times while in use. Not a good experience. read more

I wanted to like this place. But i ordered food and as i was waiting they had it the whole time under a heat lamp for about 15 min. So not only did i miss the start of my movie, it also tasted like rubber when i got it. None of the employees were apologetic about the delay either. I will always go there because I love the recliners and the experience . I think your lobby is very ugly and boring and I don't like their style of refreshments. I find it really cheap trailer like It seems messy I don't know that you're in Simi credit cafeteria at a concert maybe it's like a pop-up stand and I'm just nothing exciting about it but it's very expensive is always at the movies with a little effort they can make you feel a little bit better about your experience. The 2 stars are for the recliner seats, app that allows me to buy my tickets through AMC as opposed to a third party site, and the handicap accessible theaters to top rows. Great theatre that I have been going to since it opened when I was a kid and it was Deer Valley 30. I much prefer the 17 because of the amazing recliners. If the movie sucks then you can just take a nap. Going to see Avatar on Dolby 3D in the same theater I saw the first Avatar. read more

We weren't impressed with this theatre at all. It was a bit of a bummer since we typically love AMC theatres. They didn't have the reclining seats, which was okay, but it also felt like there wasn't much room between each aisle. I'm also not exaggerating when I say that my feet were stuck to the ground because the floors were so sticky. It was pretty gross. I Now understand why this place is empty on a Saturday afternoon. Lack of good movies showing and mostly the food is terrible. Popcorn was stale and gross from being under a "heater" for probably hours before being served & staff just doesn't really care about anything & were annoyed we asked for fresh product. Maybe because we're in the 2022 post-Covid era of customer service (where Covid is blamed and if a customer asks for service they are considered jerks).
