I remember a couple years ago when AMC Braintree had just gotten their reclining seats and it was one of the better AMC locations, as well as movie theatres in general to go to in the area. Since then, of course the seats have gotten a bit worn& definitely have seen better days, but that was bound to happen with multiple people sitting every day for years. Wished that the seats were cleaned better. Last few times, the seats I have gotten were oily (probably from the butter for popcorn?) and the cup holders were very sticky, sometimes had trash still there from the previous person. BUT great, convenient theater to go if you're in the area. It's right across from the South Shore Plaza. Also, is in a plaza with a couple restaurants like Legal Seafood, TGI Fridays, Starbucks, Five Guys, & Dave's Hot chicken. read more

Honestly movies definitely took a hit after rona, but i still love a good in theater night once in a while. Don't have the time like i used to be some movies are just better in theater for a quick date night etc ... yes majority of the time we stream at home when it's out in the comfort of home but you know. I do know the seats can be a bit cleaner at times depending on who's cleaning, and hope they are doing well enough to repair seats that may need repair. Overall the sound system is always banging and the movie screen and experience is good did the laser showing whatever that is haha. Always love movie popcorn and the self butter station. Toss in the added slushy and roll. They are pretty chill these days and the workers are quick in my experience. Tickets are up to about $17 per adult in most places some even higher. Do kiss the $10 movies of yesteryear but with everything going up so be it. AMC does still do half off Tuesdays and discounted matinees. Sign up free account to get points toward rewards to purchase concessions or the A-list for 3 movies week if you are able to go that many times. read more

Sad state of affairs. Used to be nice. Now the theater is showing it's age. Seats are worn and sometimes broken. On a side note, there was a police presence on memorial day because 4 girls were stabbed over the weekend. Probably an isolated incident, but I doubt it helps business. read more

They changed the seat assignments without any notification prior to arrival. We get there they still don't say anything. We sit down and a couple comes over and says we are in their seats. We say no and show them our tickets they show us theirs. Sure enough same seats same show times. We all got up and had to goto the service desk. They go "oh yeah" we had to change seat assignments. Meanwhile we walk back to our new seats and a fight is breaking out because someone else was in the wrong seats. Unbelievable. Don't waste your time. read more

Solid "A-OK" rating for AMC's Braintree outpost, as the experience was the definition of a mixed bag. My family saw "21 Bridges" starring Chadwick Boseman, and we thought it would be a fun and easy night out. There was nothing particularly wrong with the ticket purchasing (online buying makes the process go waaaaaaaay faster, since the seats are assigned), snack bar (popcorn is pricy, though!), and I even have to give them a solid kudos for discount tickets on Tuesdays. This offer is awesome, and actually not exclusive to this location, so I'll be taking advantage of the Tuesday discounts at another AMC for sure. However, parts of the theatre were a total mess. The bathrooms were in abysmal condition, to the point that I even saw vomit on the floor of one of the stalls! Eek. Thank goodness I was watching where I was going, or the evening would have really gotten off on the wrong foot! I usually have not had bad experiences at AMC theaters in the past, and to their credit, the screening room was actually quite clean, and the recliner seats are cushy and comfortable. We'll probably be back to this theatre again, but I hope that I don't encounter anything in the bathroom next time :( read more

Reasonable theatre with comfortable seats. Doesn't matter if you show up for the world premiere or a Wednesday night, teens/gangsters/dopes will be texting and kicking it on Tik Tok for during the duration of the movie, in my opinion this breach of etiquette should be handled by capital punishment. Even though AMC runs "turn your phone off" ads it makes 0 difference to these people. Pro Tip---Get there early. If you roll in 5 minutes before the movie, there is a 95% chance someone is already sprawled out in your seat. read more

I love the braintree AMC. If you get a membership for the Stubs premier you get the discounted Tuesdays deal for 6 dollars a movie, and every 50 dollars you spend you get 5 dollars in rewards. Such a good deal. The seats are super comfy and spaced out so you have the perfect room. You also can recline. I like how you can choose the seats so you don't have to worry about finding seats. Plenty of parking too. Previews are around 10-20 minutes so plan accordingly! read more

AMC Braintree is absolutely AMAZING. We were scheduled to see Avengers: End Game April 26 @ 11:30PM in theater 6. We had a group of 13. When we arrived for our viewing, we noticed all of our seats were double booked. At this point, the previews had started showing. We went outside to talk with Vinny and another associate. We offered for 11 of us to sit on the floor as long as our disabled viewer and our pregnant viewer had a seat. VINNY was absolutely amazing. Although he had no idea how the system was double booked, he was willing to work with us! He offered us a PRIVATE viewing of the show at 12:30AM, one hour later, in a different theater. We were amazed and absolutely relieved as some of our viewers were from out of state. We also received free popcorn and drinks. VINNY was absolutely amazing. We so very much appreciate him and his willingness and kindness. Just due to his actions, we will definitely make AMC Braintree our first option when deciding on a theater. Just got out of seeing a movie here and I'll give this place a thumbs up. With assigned seating with huge lazy boy reclining chairs for your utmost comfort this is the only way to experience a movie. Went to see new Star Wars Rogue One movie and really enjoyed my overall experience of seeing a movie here. Now 3D is not my thing but everyone received a sterile set of glass's for our 3D ride. The condiment bar was acceptable, however I really hate pouring my own drink & buttering my own pop corn so that's a demerit for them. I mean really folks I'm paying $15 for a Coke & Popcorn so why should I not be served it how I wanted. All in all a theater worth viewing Hollywoods latest movie. read more

This place is a mess. The building is ugly and unappealing; litter all over the entrance. There is trash and popcorn strewn all over the floor, in both the lobby and the theater. I liked that we could select our seats when buying ticket from the kiosk. When we got to our seats, one of them was still reclined. It just reminds you that someone else was just sitting there. And how did they get out of the seat? Did they roll out of it? Theaters should cleaned up between showtimes. Will not go to that theater in the future. read more

Wow do we love this movie theather! The reclining seats are so comfy. Nice big movie screens with incredible sound systems. Love how they have diet Mr. Pibb. Their popcorn is quite tasty too. It took a little time for us to figure out how to use the soda machine (you pour your own) and where to find the salt shakers. It's so easy to find your theater and your seats. You can pick your seats online and buy your tix online as well. I'm not sure how I like that feature one time we arrived early and could have had better seats if we could have picked them then when we got into the theater, the other time we were late so we definitely glad we had reserved them. The only downside to this theater and this is entirely not their fault. Getting out of the theater during crowded shows can be tricky as there is only one way in and out if route 37 has major traffic (think the silly season) you may have to wait a few minutes or so before you can get out into the main drag. Outside of that this is becoming our go to place for the movies! read more

Went to see Wakanda Forever today,when I arrived I witnessed the cashier touching and wiping his face/ nose, just very unsanitary behavior.I asked him to wash his hands before serving me..After that I went over to the soda machine and my daughter wanted the icee drink . As she put the juice in her cup she noticed she had a piece of popcorn floating at the top gross. I guess the person before left it there, there were no cup lids and the butter machine was gross,the bathrooms were hideous ..The place needs a deep cleaning,, our seats were dirty and had butter all over them..Thank God I walk with bleach wipes..Had to do my own cleaning.I won't be back to this movie theater anymore just gross..Don't mean to be so dramatic but seriously do better. read more

Nice spot to catch a movie. Theaters are kinda small and honestly the theater is small itself but I always catch a good deal on the matinee. The reclining seats is the best thing people go here for. I like em but with other theaters adding 4d movies, imax 3D movies, and the luxe and super luxe level it's time to step it back up again. I would've rated higher but pushing a button and having someone bring me a drink during the movie u can't beat. So overall it's nice but the honeymoon phase is ending. read more

NOT GOOD. me and the wife wanted to see youthful taylor swift at the braintree amc theater. but oh no we not see taylor swift we saw our way out. the lady who was running this circus came into the auditorium twenty two minutes after movie was set to begin and lie. she lie! she say projector don't work she was pounding on it. well for starters you shouldn't pound on a projector that is how you break it more i would know i make projector. second of all me and wife checked the status of the auditorium occupancy upon entering said auditorium where it said only 2 other people were due in attendance but shortly before movie began it say sold out. yet another lie by the evil empire of braintree amc. they lie to trick us into not going. but we love taylor we are #dedicatedfanmoment. i am angry. not happy. not cool amc movie theater braintree. read more

First time trying to see a movie and they cancelled the showing and ran out of popcorn. After being told numerous theaters to go in have to find out it wasn't showing at all. Go back next day to try again with free tickets we were given, had to wait 20 minutes to pick up online order of popcorn. Just horrible experience. read more

Theater has improved much over the last 10 years. I don't go to movies often but remember that this theater is much more clean organized and with helpful employees Mali g it a better experience overall. The fully reclining seats and sound system also seems to be much better. read more

This theatre has really great seats. They recline almost all the way back, and you get to enjoy your movie in a comfortable lounge chair with your feet up. The only downfall is they are very creeky and loud so hopefully you pick a good position before that silent point! The theatres are rather clean, the lobby can get kind of messy by the butter station. That being said it's the best thing ever that you can put your own butter on the popcorn! The bathrooms always have long lines and are not that clean. Price wise I think they over price the tickets by at least $5 and the food prices are like normal overpriced movie snacks. read more

This place is absolutely disgusting. To the point that we decided to not stay for the movie even after paying for everything (including snacks). There was overflowing trashes outside of the building , popcorn all over the floors inside, bathroom floors were covered in toilet paper and obviously not clean. The drink and condiment areas were also horrid with spilt sauces and drinks all over the counter tops. They seemed severely understaffed from usual. All around.. Went to the movies for first time in years....could not believe how they abuse your time. They forced us to watch a full 40 minutes of commercials and previews. The content was absolute garbage. I recently visited the AMC movie theater in Braintree, MA, and I must say that my experience left much to be desired. From the moment I walked in, it was evident that the level of service provided was far from satisfactory Firstly, I encountered an employee named Joana or Jana (apologies for not recalling the exact name), who seemed to have a terrible attitude. Her demeanor was unprofessional and unwelcoming, making the interaction unpleasant from the start. It's disheartening when the staff fails to provide even basic courtesy.To make matters worse, I noticed that this same employee was handling food without adhering to proper hygiene practices. She carelessly touched the cups while handling food, which raises serious concerns about the cleanliness and safety standards in the establishment. Such negligence is inexcusable and shows a lack of regard for the customers' well-being.While the movie itself was enjoyable, it's unfortunate that the poor service overshadowed the overall experience. Going to the movies is supposed to be a pleasant escape, but the encounter with Joana or Jana and the lack of hygiene precautions left me feeling unsatisfied and uncomfortable. Considering the amount of money spent on tickets and concessions, I expected a higher level of professionalism and attention to detail. Unfortunately, the service at the AMC theater in Braintree, MA fell far below my expectations.I sincerely hope that the management takes this feedback seriously and implements necessary improvements to avoid such disappointing experiences in the future.
