We had a very nice time last night. Tuesday nights are discounted! We realized that they had closed captioning devices so my husband decided to try one and he deemed it a success. All the staff I dealt with was great, but it seems they wear multiple hats! And can't be at all the desks at once! Once they noticed me I got everything I needed. They have a lot of food and drink options for a movie theater. They have a regular concession desk and a coffee/booze bar. No pretzels, but I ended up getting the nachos. Movie theater prices, of course. I didn't love the 25 minutes of previews after the posted show time, but all in all a good experience. read more

We saw a movie in IMAX 3D in December 2025. They gave us the wrong glasses we had to go back and get the correct ones in order to view the movie. The screen wasn't as big as I thought it would be, mostly because I thought it would be larger than the Xplus showings they have in Hanover. The movie looked great and the sound system was superb, but the staff seriously needs to be trained better. The IMAX theater does not have reclining seats and if you wear a hat expect to be asked to remove it by the person in the row in back of you. The confessions stand had stale popcorn and it didn't look like there was any machines to pop the popcorn. While the theater is quite large it has this outdated feel to it like it hasn't been updated since the 90's. We had no problem getting a parking spot. Because it had IMAX movies, I'm sorry to see it go but if Showcase wasn't going to spend some money to update it, it's probably best that they decided to close it. read more

I came here last night for a movie and I was impressed by Theater 13. The theater was actually clean and I loved the special stadium seating. There was someone who was scanning tickets so it was easy to quickly get in & sit down. Last time I came over the winter holiday break, there was popcorn everywhere & trash bins that were full - I'm happy to see that wasn't the case yesterday. read more

This location has a 4-D movie theater which is so FUN! I wouldn't recommend watching a long movie in 4-D but I do recommend if you never done this before to give it a try. This cinema has a bar and if you like nachos they actually have warm cheese and jalapeño which earn bonus points for me. Everyone was helpful, Place was clean and parking was decent. read more

I love going to the Tuesday $5 matinee. Good value for a movie theater. But it's getting a but dated. A few times there was a problem with the movie (house lights still on, sound but no picture, wrong 3D glasses for IMAX), but managers quickly fixed. Overall, not bad. Came here last night because I miss actually going to the movies in-person. It was just the way I left it in 2019! When we walked through the doors the aroma of buttery popcorn made us salivate. Around $26 for and adult + child ticket. Relaxing recliner chairs in the theater, could use an update. They were a bit worn down. But it was still nice to lay back to watch a movie as you would do in your living room... I actually ended up falling asleep I was so comfortable lol!! If you order a cocktail at the bar, you can now take it back to your seat with you. There's still assigned seating but Randolph movie theater is huge so there's alway seating available. New restaurants all around the neighborhood making it a perfect night out! All-in-all, had a great time there! I definitely recommend you come back! read more

Having the the theatre built underground great Parking lot lovely spacing But the worst part of this place is the work ethic from the people behind the counter serving food. If you a looking for the movie experience go elsewhere!!! Seen captain America today 2/14/25 in IMAX and the sound was terrible. The theater was a sauna which is unusual. This is not my first time experiencing problems here. Last IMAX movie the theater lights never went down and the movie had no ambience because it was still bright in the theater. Previous to that I complained about dirty projection screens and they've never been clean. Not the actual screen in the theater but the glass at the projection light goes through. They have an excellent IMAX screen and sound system. Saw Oppenheimer at this theater and it was a fantastic viewing. The chairs are comfortable, the staff did their best to quickly clear the food lines on a very busy opening weekend (Barbie + Oppenheimer), and the temperature in the theater was pretty good (i.e. not an ice box). read more

The Lux level closed way back with the pandemic and although they still call it the "de Lux", it's not. Very disappointing. We have to travel further down to Patriot Place for the real Showcase de Lux. If they can do it, why can't Randolph? Plus I'm still miffed that Bohemian Rhapsody wasn't able to be offered at the place back in the day because they're not allowed to show films of certain distributors for whatever reason. Ordering online is always quick and easy. Honestly the best movie theatre in the area the only problem is you buy a ticket online sometimes someone is your seat but not a big deal as there's usually other seats open. They claim they offer imax but it's digital imax. read more

It was a beautiful day out, so we had no issues with parking, with buying tickets, with making our way down to our assigned theater, nor to visit the facilities before the beginning of the show. Wait, I don't think there were even any previews! Mantinee shows (the regular sort, not 3D nor LUX) prior to 6pm were $9.50 for adults. The Cinema goes deep rather than wide, with choice of escalator or stairs for those who wished some exercise before (or after) sitting for an hour or two at comfy seats with loads of leg room. I did, however, find the green lights shining out from the steps to be rather blindingly annoying. Also, on our visit, they ran out of paper towels in the ladies room, and one of the faucets weren't working. read more

I went here this past weekend with my friend to see a movie. The movie that we wanted to see was only in 4-D. Even with movie passes, we had to pay an extra $10/person. Even though it was expensive, we had no choice but to pay the surcharge. Once we entered the theater, we noticed there were only like 5-6 rows of seats. I realized that they were not reclining seats but leather seats where your legs dangle a few inches from the floor(similar to sitting on a roller coaster seat). During the movie, the chairs actually moved in different directions, spraying sudden bursts of air/water, and punching the back or bottom of your seat. It was a fun experience but going through this for over 2.5 hours was a tad too much. If it was like only 10-15 minutes, I would have enjoyed it much better. I rather just have the leather seats in reclining mode instead. read more

As any frequent reviewer of my posts know, I like to periodically (annually) re-review my reviews as things can change. Sometimes businesses close, get bad, or sometimes, better. This is one of those posts. Yes, I know I've been bad about checking in, but I just had a son, so I've been a bit busy. Plus, since the Pandemic, we've been getting deliveries from here more than actually picking stuff up. First, I can attest that this location is shutdown, but I think all theaters in New England are currently shutdown due to the Pandemic. The signs on the doors indicate that it should open up July 1 though. From the recent press conferences from the Mayor and Governor, it looks like that date will be the date. As I said in my last post, I was not sure if we would come back to this location, but since I only gave it three stars, I figured we'd give it another chance. I can now assure you that we will not be going back. It's not that this place is necessarily terrible, it is just that there are so many better options around town. The Good We moved from Texas to Boston, and we went here soon after the first snow fall of the year. I was concerned about the parking lot, but it was crazy salted. So, thank y'all for that! The theaters were clean and the seats were plushy, not the hard plastic traditional seats. Since our first visit, they have started serving alcohol, so that sin has been alleviated. And, they have a lot of better food options. They should continue revamping these items to bring the theater up-to-date. The Bad Since 3-D tends to give me headaches, we normally just watch 2-D. We've tried the 2-D IMAX option, which supposedly has enhanced screen quality and sound, not 3-D or some immersive experience like the regular IMAX. But, I could not tell the difference. The food options were mostly the same as any other theater you've been to in the past. Even the seating was the traditional stadium seating, which meant that if someone was sitting in front of you, your view is probably being at least partially obstructed by their head. While the theater was generally clean, the labels on the back of the seats were coming off, the seats did not really recline, and the theater seems to have climate control issues. Most theaters tend to run too cold, but this place seems to run too hot. Plus, I was expecting some kind of "lux" experience that I never got. Maybe there is another section here that is "lux," but we never found it. We assumed wrongly that the IMAX branded shows would have at least some semblance of "lux." But, alas, no. Oh, and did I mention the tickets were $16 a piece for a matinee and neither Fandango nor the theater would accept their own rewards card. The Verdict To me, the old school traditional theater experience is no longer acceptable, especially when you call yourself "lux." You have to step up your game these days, and unfortunately, this theater has a long way to go. So, would I recommend this place? No. The price for what you get simply is not worth it. Maybe there are other tiers, but that was never clear when we purchased tickets here, which means I can only go off my own experiences. You may be wondering why the three-star review with such a poor experience. Well, three is my baseline unless there is terrible customer service. I do not believe we actually interacted with anyone other than the cashier on each visit, who was never rude, so three stars. read more

This place has been steadily heading downhill for a couple of decades now, since it first opened up. I usually go to the AMC in Braintree but since Randolph was showing the movie I wanted to see at a better time for me I went there for what was the first time in a couple of years. Me and the kids walk up to the ticket checker ready to flash the phone tickets and the lady says "they can't bring those in here", pointing at my kids, each holding a 12 oz. plastic bottle of spring water. I said "you have to be kidding me, you're going to make a stink about a bottle of water"? She replied those are the rules the manager recently reinforced they must enforce. So we tossed the damn water in the trash, and the Ticket Checker Nazi let us pass. Once I get to the food counter I notice they have TWO Randolph cops on detail, standing nearby. This isn't a nightclub in a seedy section of Baltimore, it's a MOVIE THEATER, I've never even seen one cop on detail at the Braintree AMC (or any other movie theater for that matter) and these people have concluded they have enough violence going on there that they need to spend the money to pay for TWO cops on detail every night? What the hell goes on in there? After the movie ended I vowed I would never go to Randolph Showcase again, I'll go to Braintree AMC where they let you bring in a bottled water (or even a Coke) and they don't have any cops on detail, because I guess they don't have thugs regularly getting into brawls in their theater. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Terrible experience all around. I was visiting from out of state and decided to see a movie with my family. I went to the bar to order a drink. Interestingly enough, my out-of-state license wasn't scanning for the bartender. Maybe because my license isn't RealID yet? Who knows? If I knew I needed a passport to go to the movies I'd have grabbed it before I traveled. Management (Joe Santos) was very unwilling to look into the mishap which caused me to miss part of my movie. Even when I complained to the Director (Mike Flynn), he was not willing to provide the follow-up I requested. Good luck if you choose to be a patron but there are better cinemas with even better customer service, conflict resolution and operations. read more

This by far the worst experience I've ever had in a movie theatre in the whole USA! Today was my second time watching a movie here and will definitely be my ever LAST! Nothing like being stuck with an endless number of teenagers who are clearly moving from one theatre to another. A lot of drunken people around and complete chaos. The staff have no idea what is going on. They have a couple of police and security officers by the main floor but they have nothing to do with any of the chaos in the house. I believe they're here to guard the bar! Worst part is is f you're stuck in a theatre that is on the lowest floor, because that's where all the parties take place and to top the all, there is no phone connection there either. read more

Let me start by as your walking in it's old!! They have two side of concession stand I'm why only inside is open with old ass pretzels why workers to lazy to make fresh ones. They were miserable people there. If you don't like your line of work then search for something els ‍ oh as we walk in for a 6:30 showing the movie was already playing 15 mins prior to start time. Then the seats are all messed up cracked up. As the seat move they all Squeak it's hard to concentrate when hearing the loud ass squeaky chairs if felt like 900 pound people sitting on all the seat. We are watching the movie then they decide to shut it off the whole movie then restart the whole shit again. This place was so disappointing the the people of Randolph ma should be ashamed of this theater. The price we paid wasn't worth it at all do better people do better ! and clean your damn bathrooms I don't need to see my a women jayjay while I'm using the bathroom as she is wiping. So we went during the first mild snow of the fall and I have to say the first thing I noticed was how nice the parking lot was salted. Respect. We went to see a movie in IMAX form (enhanced screen/ sound) not the immersive wrap around IMAX. The theater was clean and seats were comfortable. Ours didn't recline but I understand some theater options do. I wish all the theaters had the option to order food and drinks without the "lux" option. I want to watch fantastic beasts in imax and have a cocktail. Why not take money from a customer willing to give it? I'd still go back to see the lux option and if it's worth the 20+ cost a head. Our IMAX seats were 16 for a matinee. The way the stadium was toggled meant there some heads in my view, darn you genetically blessed people of great height, I'm already jealous. Screen and sound were great. The imax was loud but I loved it. Temp was warm which I appreciated on a 20 something day but spouse was burning up. Nice theater, pretty standard. Theyve gone through a slew of upgrades...much better seating, kinder staff and if you're in the mood for it and have deep pockets a HUGE selection of hot foods...snacks and beverages for any appetite. The very best time to go for my age group (40 and over) would be the first two shows only...Im sure you're wondering why not 5 stars then? The reason why I say the first two shows is the lack of respect and courtesy from other movie goers..took the wife to see Bad Boys for Life and..right at the climax of the film a woman behind us took what seemed to be an at least several minute phonecall. Im sure it wasnt an emergency because she paced back and forth behind us and when she was done hung up and went and sat back down.. Other times before this? You have the ignorance of millennials who cant leave thier phones alone for the few hours they are sitting there as if life is that important during that time which leaves the question... Why did you come in the first place?? Also...why bring small children into R rated action films or any films knowing they cant keep quiet...like I said...ignorance...but from the customers as to why most of the time the wife and I just wait for films to stream and enjoy them from our couch.. As for the theater itself? Go for it ....but at your own risk. And bring at least 50.00...times have sure changed read more

This was one of the nearby theater that was playing X-Men Apocalypse in 4D when we were around the area. The layout of this particular theater was very strange. They had no stanchions or indication of any kind for us to show our tickets for entry and out of no where an usher ran towards us asking for the tickets.... Seems underwhelming and inefficient. Service: Since I have the Starpass, for the birthday month, you get a free regular popcorn. I went to redeem it at the concession stand and they said I can only use it the day after I get this voucher. Mind you, the front said "you got a free popcorn!", my birthday was earlier this month, and there was NO FINE PRINT anywhere on this voucher. So I was going to ask for a manager since she was adamant about this hidden policy but luckily a supervisor was close by and told them to honor it. Not only was the staff was rude and muttering under her breath "if the boss says so then I guess I have to give it" but the obnoxious staff next to her kept persisting that's the policy. Showcase in Randolph, educated your staff about quality service please. Overall, this theater was super clean and the 4D experience was truly a great way to watch his movie. I prefer this theatre over AMC Braintree but this place needs a new staff. Lately, I've been having issues with them. The ticket cashier was clearly on her phone (yea, speaker phone doesn't make it obvious) and gave us wrong tickets (seats, showtimes, movie). Concession staff wasn't any better. I ordered a Cherry Coke and wanted the Star Wars collectors cup. She firmly said "No, you can't. It's only for the drinks." Then she said, "Did you still want the cherry ICEE?" If I remember right, I thought I ordered a cherry coke. After a minute of awkward silence, the lightbulb in her head must have turned on and she finally got the order correct. To top that off, she said, "Oh you can get butter back there." Uh, ok...I just got a drink and not popcorn. Bottom line: This theatre needs to get rid of the current staff and replace them with more competent people. And also, the butter and soda combination sounds gross. Update (11/20/2018): The auditorium is filthy and very disgusting. Do they really expect paying customers to sit in a dumpster? They couldn't even clean it before the next showtime. The overall experience was ok. I'm giving it 3 because of the actual theater. The seats are spacious and comfortable. I highly suggest to not get food from there. It's over priced and just not good at all. We got chicken tenders that took 5 minutes to cook but took us 25 minutes to get them for some reason. By the time we got into the movie it had already started. Don't get the food you will spend an outrageous price for crap that takes a half hour. read more

I heard at least 10 or more "Ew"'s, "Ugh"'s, and "Yikes" from both myself and other customers at this theater. First, have fun parking. The lot is AWFUL! It's always full and extremely small for a cinema like this. Also, the cinema is not cleaned, and in good maintenance nearly as well as the Dedham location. And for that matter, the layout, design, and full experience in Dedham at both the regular movies and Lux is just SO much better, and put at extremely high expectations, in comparison to average expectations from this location. BettyAnn at the service desk was very rude, unfriendly, and was also not making the experience any better (making it much worse!). Overall, the experience, cleanliness, food offerings, and staff are all better in Dedham, Chestnut Hill and other theatre's. I will not be returning to this location, and won't be suggesting it to others. read more

Yeah, I finally got to experience the recliner seats at the theatre! We were visiting for the holidays and my daughter in law scored us tickets to see the new Star Wars movie. Parking was a breeze in their private lot. Since the tickets were purchased in advance it made getting in a breeze. We were greeted by the ticket taker and directed to our theatre. Great concession area including an adult bar to score your favorite beverages and snacks before going in. Bathrooms were convenient and clean. Great experience all the way around!! read more

Moved from Boston to Quincy since April and I don't want to drive through traffic to catch a movie on Fri night. This is the place to go, with a ton of my friends living in Quincy we can do car pool for movie. There are large selection of movies, many show times and many theaters. Well, I think they offer a lot more snacks than other places. One only down point is they don't offer student discount. read more

We went to see "American Made" this Sunday. It was a fancy looking theater, but the little things really soured things. The Tablet ticket pickup was fine, one had wires sticking out the side, had i seen it at an airport, i would have called the bomb squad. We used the one with the wires hanging out the side and it worked, thus obviously not a bomb. The ticket take said theater is all the way back (#12). He failed to tell us it was all the way back and down two levels in the dungeon. The seats and cleanness were fine. The rug was spongy and felt like it was padded to protect accidentally dropped babies. The movie itself was off center, and we could tell that during parts of the movie that there were subtitles, but beyond that, we couldn't read them. We won't be back. read more

Of the various movie theaters in the area stay away from this place. You have groups who come in and carry on full blown conversations during movies. You can ask them to be quiet and you get "Fu$k you" as a response. No ushers ever to be seen no management tell people to be quiet. You risk being punched if you ask people to quiet down. No manners and they just dont care. I will drive to Dedham before i spend another penny in this place. read more
