I used to love this place, but unfortunately it's turned into nothing more than a money grab. The bathrooms are consistently filthy, and the staff act like they don't even want to be there. Today really sealed it for me. We came to celebrate my son's 10th birthday, and when we arrived, the internet was down so it was cash only--but there was no sign on the outside door. You don't find out until after you walk in, which already starts the experience off wrong. The manager working tonight (glasses, thinning blonde/gray hair) was incredibly rude and condescending. Zero customer service skills and no empathy whatsoever. He didn't seem to care that multiple machines were broken or malfunctioning: * Air hockey had no airflow and didn't keep score * Connect Four Hoops (red side) was playing by itself * Motorcycle games charged but wouldn't start * Basketball games were missing balls * Several other machines weren't working properly Instead of addressing any of this, he was selectively handing out game cards to other customers while repeatedly ignoring my son--the birthday boy--and our family. While we were waiting for food, he came over and asked whose birthday it was, as if I hadn't already told him earlier. Then he made a sarcastic comment saying, "clearly from the sign on the door." She was terrible forgot order, left menus, brought over app. Plates when didn't get apps. Food is good. Service is a hit or miss depending on which waitress or waiter you get with some more enthusiastic and friendly than others, but for the most part, it's okay. Great deals with dining and being able to get chips to use to play after dining depending on what you order. Signing up for D&B card and app is a must since they sometimes give free offers to incentivize you to go to D&B. Wednesdays are half off all games which is also great! The sriracha honey wings are the best! Not too spicy at all and very good. The barbacoa fries were okay. Kids love pretzels, chicken tenders, and pretzel dogs, so those are always a given when coming here. Fun place to go and eat first! The greeting at the door was awesome, and the place looked fantastic! It looked like Vegas! But where was everyone? It was kind of a ghost town.... So here's my experience. The service was HORRIBLE. I don't need a lot, but it would have been nice to at least, had the opportunity to order a second beer. The waitress was nice, but seemed bored, rushed, mumbled, and seemed like we were a burden on her. She never brought water, did not bring all the items for our order, and never checked on us until I flagged her down for the check. The manager was super nice nice though and jelped us when she saw me go ask the bartender for water. So now it makes sense why this place is super nice, but completely empty. The food is not bad for a game place, compared to its competitors in the area DB is better then BWW. It's not gourmet food or anything. They have many pizza styles our table had chicken bacon ranch i think. Chicken wings were crispy and none were left. The burger, one of the fam got seemed like more all buns no patty haha but it's alright. The space is always clean, AC blasting which is nice in the summer. I believe they also have a lux room you could rent out if you doing a company party or viewing party privately. We came here for UFC fights and for the Celtics games! My kids enjoyed a child's pizza and an order of butter noodles. No complaints from either of them and they both made "happy plates". My wife, however, ordered a classic American hamburger, well done. She was not impressed. Pink in the middle and almost cool, she couldn't finish it. Other than that, the drinks were cold and constantly refilled at no extra cost. Our waitress was a nice woman who seemed genuinely interested in learning more about where we were traveling from (Arkansans in the great East Coast state of Massachusetts, we stuck out) and wished us well on our return trip home. The hood is they usually have some deal going on or a promotion that makes it worth it, I just don't know why I mean why did y'all take away the best deal y'all had "eat n play combo" that to me was the only reason that made it worth it. As a person who works in the industry as well as one who loves to enjoy a good dining experience nothing is worse then terrible service or hospitality. Came to D&B with my family to celebrate my nieces graduating on a Monday and the place was not busy. We waited 5-10 min to be seated as there was only one server working but while taking one of the kids to the bathroom I asked the bartender if there was a host or if we wait for server. Her response was agitated " it's her or i and I haven't had a second to stop yet. I found myself apologizing for asking and just carried on. Food was okay and the server was actually great wish I had her name. The name I do remember however is Megan the bartender and BEWARE of her nasty attitude. While the kids played, my mom and I had a drink at the bar and when mom asked for a napkin while Megan was putting away glasses she held them up (to show she was too busy) and continued with attitude saying she would once she was done. At that point I was disgusted but was even worse was as our family came together by the bar to leave here comes Megan yelling excuse me that we all just looked to each other in shock. I understand how stressful the industry can be and especially when busy but as seen in the pictures there was no one seated at bar or dining area to even possibly justify how rude this woman was. Folks, gather round and let me tell you a little story about Dave & Busters, or as I like to call it, Gambler's Anonymous. This is a harrowing tale; one of love, loss, addiction, and free buffalo wings. Let me start off by saying that I once frequented this concrete paradise often. There was something about the neon lights, the plentiful games, and the buzz of excitement that kept me coming back again and again. It got to the point where I was coming here after every shift at my local Chili's. It was after my rough divorce with my ex wife Patti, who demanded that I pay alimony to support her and her new boyfriend Bjorn, a Scandinavian hunk who was all around a better man than me. And so it was, that I took myself and what money I could muster to the land of Dave & Busters. D&B was my refuge. I had it all down to a system. I would buy a $20 power card, which came with about 100 chips. Then I would go to work. See, I wasn't here to have fun, people. I was here for the rush of it all, for the grind. I would sit at the mega stacker machine first and win at least a few minor prizes (around 1000 tickets). You see, I was no ordinary customer. I didn't play into the silly conventions and pitfalls that most normal cretans would have. Some games posed high risk and high rewards, but I knew that these were foolish ventures. I spent my chips wisely and with precision, wasting no time. I controlled the arcade floor like a conductor with his symphony. Sometimes I would play the coin pushers just to feel something. And every time I lost at a game I would shout at myself saying, "this is why Patti left you, you cuck!" and I would suddenly be filled with the motivation to carry on with my gaming. This abrupt yelling startled people. I was not well liked at this establishment. Most would stay well away. Once, a child asked me if he could have a turned on the stacker machine, as I had been there for a good 2.5 hours and he wanted to have a try. I snarled at him and called him a dirty barnacle and he never bothered me ever again. I NEVER spent my tickets on prizes. No, see I'm was a smart gamer. I would save up enough to get myself an entree and an appetizer (Usually salmon and pretzels) and gorge my fat face on some grub. I swear the food tasted better because I myself had worked for it. Blood, sweat and tears were shed for those fucking tickets. You better believe I reveled in my victory. Days of visiting turned to weeks. Weeks turned to months. Soon, it was almost a solid year of consistent visits to Dave & Busters. The workers knew me. Almost instinctively they would prepare my salmon and pretzels because they knew what winning would ensue. I talked to no one, and gamed hard. I would slam down beers, and when those became too weak for my taste I began to look for something stronger. First it was tequila, then whiskey. When they refused to serve me I would wail and cry until they served me more, and then I would continue gaming. I cleared house always. I would let the neon flashing lights consume my very soul, until I could barely see, barely feel and barely think. I became a slave to the arcade. A dopamine fiend. When I would return home I used to masturbate to the thought of winning the mega prize. In my dreams, I became the king of Dave & Busters and ruled with an iron fist. In my dreams my ex wife Patti and her new man Bjorn would ask to come in to the arcade and I would banish them from the premises. But like all good things, it all came to an end. A rough, and very drunken end. It was free wing Thursday. I was in a drunken stupor spinning the pirate wheel and letting my mind sink back into mush. I had already eaten about 40 or so lemon pepper wings when my stomach began to feel like a lead weight. I then violently puked everywhere, all over the arcade machines, creating sparks and horror. People screamed and fled and I was left laying in a pile of puke on the floor. I have been banned ever since. I have been enrolled in a program that targets my addiction. But every night I sit and think of what once was, when I was a younger man, playing all those games and having the time of my life. The End. read more

Great environment for both kids and adults (kids are generally denied access after a certain time). Nowadays, the machines require a game card -- you can ask for a card at the front desk. The tickets you earn from the machines are automatically loaded to your D&B card, in which you could redeem at the shop. I like the new card and ticket idea because you don't have to worry about transferring your tickets from the game machine to a ticket counter machine. I was there with a few of my friends a couple weeks ago, and we had about 10,000 tickets taken away from us because of a machine malfunction, and the machine was just turned off on us without any explanation. Both managers were very unhelpful with the problem and the entertainment manager had one of the dumbest comments I've ever heard. When I asked why we can't keep out tickets because it was their machines fault, this manager had the audacity to compare his David Busters, which by the way was a Wednesday at 2:00 and we had to be the only four people there, he compared it to a casino saying thats how every casino in the country works. The obvious customer service move would be for us to keep out tickets because it was their machines malfunction, but no instead this guy who runs his Dave and Busters like its the army had us waste our time and take away the tickets that we had. Oh and all we were trying to get with our tickets is a simple little $50 ice cream machine. My family had the absolute worst experience we have ever had at an establishment. Our waitress Elynia was rude, nasty and just flat out unprofessional! When we received our meals only half our party was served. We waited and waited for the other food to be served. When we finally got a hold of our waitress we asked where our other meals were? She began to make several rude comments! We requested to speak to a manager who began to ignore us! We attempted to speak to them twice and both times they walked away! The managerial staff was completely incompetent and unprofessional! When our waitress dropped the remaining food off after the rest our party had finished, the waitress began to belittle us infornt of her managers, and all they did was watch!!! We sat at the bar and the bartender "Niah" was fabulous! She was very polite, personable, and professional. It was a busy bar too, but her service was great regardless. I had the Philly Dip Sandwich, which was the best sandwich that I've ever had in my life! It's a Must-Have! My Gluten-Free girlfriend had the Chicken Breast sandwich with a Gluten-free bun and Gluten-free fries, which she liked a lot. Niah's drinks were spot-on too. I've been coming to this place for the last few years with my son and three of his nephews. We frequent the business at least once a week and spend the bulk of my disposable income here. I know, who does that? But I love my son and my nephews and I love to see them happy. Additionally, until now I've found the management and staff to be very responsible, responsive and cool. Most importantly I'm a United States Marine and they gave a 20% discount to Military. This goes a long way to make me feel valued as a customer and service member. Unfortunately, when I arrived here today the discount has been removed. Not only this I reluctantly purchased 4 cards with 250 points each 3 on used cards and 1 on a bee card since I forgot to grab enough cards from my ridiculously large stack of old cards at home. After they swipe my credit card I notice that if you buy 4 cards with 250 points each it's $35 each instead of $40. I'm already upset our discount is gone at least buying this package will save me a little.. right? Wrong! I ask if they can give me the discount by refunding the cards or simply applying a discount. The young lady pokes her head into the office to ask a manager. The manager didn't even come out to address me but simply shuts this down. Between the loss of the military discount and their new and approach to customer service, I think I need to find somewhere else to spend my money. Tonight's experience deserves one star. But I worked as a restaurant manager myself for over a decade so I know how annoying it is to be judged by one experience so since I my past experience was 4-5 and this one is a 1 I'm grading them 3 stars. Haven't had time to write this review but my friend and I dined here some time ago and had the most amazing service. We got the chicken sandwiches and when they came out my friends was a bit inedible and burnt. When we alerted the waiter he immediately apologized and took it back to be redone. We didnt want anything more than that but he had the manager come out and let us know that he would be comping both our meals since we had to kind of watch each other eat. Awful! We took my son and nephew here to celebrate their birthdays upon request and can't even say they had fun as 10 and 18 year old gamers. Majority of the games were broken, operational but certain features weren't working like the jump pad on the Mario Olympics game and the axe throwing game wouldn't register. Considering how dead the restaurant was, it took extremely long for service that was frankly terrible. The drinks took about 20 minutes to arrive once the waitress arrived roughly 20 minutes after sitting; we had 4 people and 2 menus; by the time we ordered our food and that arrived, our drinks were gone and refills, even water, didn't come until we were done eating. The food is terrible and the pricing for such poor quality is outrageously egregious. $250 for 4 people ordering from the game special menu which included an entree with a $35 game card. Oh and apparently the special menu doesn't include sides(?)! Which they don't tell you so we paid for a salad instead of French fries because the kiddo didn't like French fries but it still came with fries in addition to the salad that he didn't touch because it was a little "fancy" not your traditional romaine or iceberg lettuce. My cheeseburger was ordered medium rare but came over medium and had absolutely no taste-I took maybe 3 bites and was done. The waitress never asked how the food was but was sure to include a suggested tip based on the full price without the special that included the game card. We tipped based on the food and service not the game card included considering the insane amount for the terrible food, service and lackluster game experience. My perception of this establishment pre-visit was a sort of Chucky Cheese for adults, with alcohol and less cheese. Basically, I was right. Even though the youth were welcome to stay till 10pm, we were carded immediately upon entering through the first set of doors. I'm not sure what's up with that since neither crowd got marked in some way, and I'm sure they would have carded us again anyhow if any of us had elected to order an alcoholic drink with our meal. Later on in the evening, I noticed a dress code posted that okayed baseball caps and knit hats, but no other headwear nor sunglasses. Just fyi. At the recommendation of Linda Chuong T.'s review, I went with a $20 game card meal (the food was okay - chicken was tender - but nothing special at the same time) and ended my night still with perhaps 30 odd points remaining of the initial 100 points I had started off with. This was after about 2 hours of game play and of watching my friends play. (Oh, basic math - each point is worth 20 cents). I went home with a stuffed bear that I later found on the street for $8, and leftover points and accumulated tickets saved on my no longer brand new (it did get swiped a dozen plus times after all!) Dave & Buster's card. 1/2 price Wednesdays are a-okay; the rest of the week is kind of pricey... *** 8/2015 *** So the game card meal deals are no longer effective on Fridays and Saturdays after 5pm. But that's okay, I still had some points left from last time. We still ate first, however. Two of us decided to share a healthy and a not so healthy. Maker's Mark Sweet Honey BBQ Wings - 8 wings $11.79; boneless $10.79 The boneless options were more like nuggets, with more coating and sauce than meat. It was a little sad actually. I would recommend skipping this. Grilled Steak Salad $12.49 (Grilled sirloin steak, sliced and served over spinach, romaine lettuce, baby greens and grape tomatoes, tossed with crumbled blue cheese, candied pecans and balsamic herb vinaigrette dressing. Garnished with crispy frazzled onions.) Though the meat was a bit tough, this was okay, mainly due to the not so healthy additions of the candied nuts and the crispy onion strings. Some friends got the Lawnmower $12.99 salad, which is basically a cobb salad and it was huge! It could probably be shared as an entree for two reasonably hungry gals easy. Those who ordered the burgers were well satisfied. The fries were just okay, with some crispness but heavy on the salt. They told us that for $10 you could play all the arcade games (just the arcade games, not the games where you could earn tickets) you wanted that day, with some portion of it going to a charity. A few of our friends went this route, and they went crazy. Yup, it was definitely worth their while. Me, I played some games that earned me some tickets (my one best single haul was maybe 200+ tickets from one of those coin shoving games for 10.4 coins a turn), and came home with a cute soft squishy friend. Yeah, you could either have a friend like mine for 400 tickets, or pick up two 200 ticket candies. Ummm... I know what I want. Their prize shop is a great way to teach your kids about the differences between consumable and durable items, the value of patience in delayed gratification, and what-not though. They'll just have to depart Dave & Buster's by 10pm. But then again, shouldn't they be in bed before 10pm? read more
