Ambro's Subs is the perfect spot for your sandwich cravings . We picked up a salami and cheese, an egg salad , and a pastrami and cheese sandwich. All of them were delicious-the taste, texture, and freshness of the subs are perfect . We also got a cheese burger, it tasted like a burger from my childhood. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is nostolgic and comfy , we came in on a rainy day and read some National Geographic magazines while we waited, it's cute and cozy the owner is nice[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . I can't wait to try everything on the menu. Price was good too!

Stopped in due to curiosity since I drive by this shop all the time. Decided to try the egg salad, I ordered a large and within a couple minutes my order was ready. Nice like shop, clean. Friendliness could be worked on, but nevertheless I have no complaints, just kudos for quickness and no waiting. As I left there were several people on their way in so maybe next time there might be a wait. Sandwich was good, egg salad was fresh!

The bread is soft and has a great chew. the service is good and reasonably quick. I ordered a pastrami and via verde sandwich . the PASTRAMI is generously piled in this roll with aïoli garlic, mustard, coleslaw & pickles. Delicious! It also comes with onions and cheese which I opted out. The 2nd sandwich was the VIA VERDE. OMG! even better than the pastrami. This sandwich had pickled jalapeños, tomatoes, garlic, aïoli, avocado, and a ton of green chili shredded pork - double delicious!! These two sandwiches were a good 6 inch long filled to the brim with meat, topping and sauces for 2 sandwiches under $26 total with sales tax. I highly recommend Papa's Sandwiches in San Dimas.

The coffee tastes like a clean, bitter, cold brew with a foamy top. (Important: Bring Cash. There's a 4% Cash Discount.) I arrived at Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) on Thursday (around 12:13PM). Parking is simple but busy. There's a side lot for customers; sign says, "2 Hour Parking." Staff is courteous, no-nonsense, and diligent. Staff worked hard. Staff quickly answered all my questions. My coffee took about three minutes. Good time. As mentioned, I ordered the Nitro Cold Brew ($9 - Large - 24oz). The coffee is very standard. It tastes exactly like any imagined cold brew coffee. Personally, the roast tasted a little burnt, but it's a common, familiar coffee flavor. The strength was weak for a nitro, but the HUGE SIZE and affordability balances it all out. This is a functional, budget drink. On ambiance, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) is a HUGE success. There's a lot of utility. The location has a self-serve water station, public internet with no password, stacked high chairs for children, two game corners (ex: Chess, Giant Connect 4, Giant Jenga, Uno Cards, Etc), and about one available electrical outlet. I also appreciated the retro, upbeat music and 1930s movie decor. In addition, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) has plenty of seating. There's about four interior tables, but there's also 16 outside patio tables. The location is clean, well-maintained, and well ventilated. Overall, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) is a good, local neighborhood spot. It offers affordable choice that are prepared "good enough." I wouldn't drive a long distance for this spot, but it's a decent option if you're already nearby. 4.5 out of 5

Great cheesesteaks with BIG portions!…read more Stopped by West Coast Cheesesteaks in Glendora and came hungry--and they definitely did not disappoint. I ordered the big cheesesteak with extra meat and cheese, and it was loaded with grilled onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, and jalapeños. There are six different cheeses to choose from, so you can really customize it to your liking. The cheesesteak was juicy, tender, and flavorful, while the bread held up surprisingly well with all the fillings. The West Coast Tots were another highlight. They were super crispy and loaded with steak and cheese. The cheese sauce had a nice texture that brought everything together. Portions are generous, the food is satisfying, and if you're a cheesesteak fan, this is definitely worth checking out. Come hungry!

I'm pretty selective when it comes to cheesesteaks, but he assured me this was THE spot. I ordered a large West Coast Cheesesteak with provolone and their cheddar cheese sauce. First impressions were positive. The sandwich was filled with an ample amount of fillings. This place definitely does not skimp on the meat. I was informed by the worker that their "The Big One" has even more meat. I'll have to order that next time. After the first bite, I was pleased by the thin yet crispy, juicy, well-seasoned beef. The bread was the perfect complement, soft and soaking up the beef juices for a perfect bite. Despite soaking up the juices, the bread held its form well while also being chewy and airy. The provolone cheese was spread evenly throughout the sandwich, with the fresh mushrooms and jalapeños enhancing the flavors. The biggest surprise of my meal was the cheese sauce. I'm a big texture guy, so I was hesitant at first. A bad cheese sauce makes a sandwich soggy while overpowering the flavor of the meat. This was the opposite. The sauce was velvety smooth, and spread well after each pour. It was thick enough that it held its form and didn't saturate the bread. Very rich, creamy, and flavorful. Talked to the employee and he said they make their cheese sauce in-house. Very cool! This spot lived up to my coworker's hype, and he's easily earned my trust when it comes to food recs. I've had authentic cheesesteaks in Philadelphia, and this place is darn close to the stuff they have out there. I live far away, but I'm willing to drive up to this place next time I crave a cheesesteak roll.
