Very appreciative of both Paul, the technician, and the main office at Ambassador Blinds. Paul immediately took the customer's perspective on solving the problem, troubleshooting, then partnering to develop a solution. Paul was confident and proactive in sourcing the replacement parts then offering solution-based options. Paul, Ambassador Blinds, were not worried about the transaction. As a customer, the expertise and the accountability was worth the price. Paul was prepared to see the work through the end. read more

Hands down, best screen company ever! I have reached out to at least 5 screen places to get a custom made screen for my wrought iron front doors made and have been turned down or people not even showing up. Paul and Joe helped make our vision come true. They made custom magnetic screen frame for the front doors. We can now open the front door glass section for fresh air without bugs and debris coming in. You will see the pictures! Amazing job! They also installed screens for our windows and security doors in the back. I highly recommend reaching out to them if you have any special requests! read more

I previously left a review that I unfortunately don't know how to remove. When I was able to get a hold of someone, They came in and Checked all my blinds to ensure they were functioning. They replaced batteries also. I still have a few mishaps here and there but with renewed contact with Paul, I'm trusting that Ambassador Blinds will be helpful with everything moving forward. Thank you for resolving the matter! read more

My vertical blinds on my living room door refused to open. I called Ambassador Blinds & Installation. Paul Portillo and his co-worker came to assess the problem. They were able to fix it temporarily but I ordered the part needed. It was during the installation of this part I was so impressed with Paul Portillo's polite and helpful nature. I am 85 and Paul was very courteous and went out of his way to see I was taken care of. This kind of service is rarely found today and I want to thank Paul for his going the 2nd mile to fix this problem in a timely manner. read more

I called to have some 150 year old Jail House doors being put up I'm my home. I was fortunate to talk with Paul at the company. What started as a discussion turned into a Friendship with him disclosing that his company could not facilitate the install. Paul referred me to someone that could do it, then I circled back with him several weeks later to Thank Him. Now I'm looking at new screens for my Patio as the weather gets cooler and Paul is helping me with that too! I recommend you contact Paul for all of your needs. Maybe he will tell you about what Christmas Trees mean to him. Thank You Paul, Michael J. Marcellette and Family read more

Brad got back to us right away and made an appointment within a few days. We were looking for a shade screen for our back patio. He showed us how complicated it would would be with our architecture--that it could be done but would be $6,000 or so. We so appreciated his explanation and honesty!! read more

I needed all my blinds in my house replaced, and after receiving 5 quotes (one including Lowes), Ambassador Blinds was the best. One company offered the same price as what Joe offered, but in the end I went with Ambassador Blinds for several reasons: 1) Joe offered real wood blinds 2) His valence that came with the blinds was larger than other companies, which makes a nicer presentation on the windows 3) He offered to patch the holes in my walls and paint over them after my old blinds were removed (I had to provide the paint, but this was a big deal to me because I'm horrible at that kind of stuff!) Joe's price included installation and removal of my old blinds. His technician/installation man, Alfredo, was great! He was very polite, patient, and took his time to hang the blinds to perfection. Alfredo mentioned he's been working with Joe for 20 years, which is pretty impressive these days! Overall, I am so happy I went with Ambassador Blinds because some of my other quotes would have cost me at least twice as much! My house looks amazing with the new blinds , and I would definitely recommend them. read more

Hunter Douglas referred AB as a supplier. I hired this company in January to replace shutters that were damaged. To date, I still don't have my replacement shutters. I paid $90 for a tech to show up and take measurements, etc. Apparently they lost their measurements and asked to send another technician today between 8-10am. No one bothered to show or reschedule. I would avoid this company like the plague. read more

I can't brag enough about the quality products and service I received from the guys at Ambassador Blinds. A local family run business, recommended by a friend, took care of me from day one. Joe and Jason were professional, polite as well as fun to work with. My shutters are beautiful and the room darkening blinds were the right choice for my son's room and guest room. My house feels more like a home. SO if you are shopping for shutters, blinds or interior redesign, give these guys a call. You'll be glad you did! Thanks guys! read more

Ambassador Blinds helped me come up with an idea for my 20' wall of glass in my home in Mountain Bridge. They installed Hunter Douglas motorized shades (with a Custom built wood cornice) and a wireless remote control. That was 1 1/2 years ago and my remote control stopped working a couple of days ago. I called JoDell yesterday and he and Alfredo were at my house today with a replacement. I had thought I would have to wait for it to be ordered, but they just swapped it out! They also did a great job on my wooden shutters! I highly recommend them for all your window covering needs! read more

Great service. Paul is fantastic and nice. The shades turned out beautiful. I highly recommend.

We love the blinds Joe installed in our home four years ago. We're in the middle of a major house remodel right now and decided at the last minute (yesterday) to paint the living room. On short notice, Joe is here this morning with people to bring down the (very tall) blinds without damaging them. I really can't believe this level of service. I highly recommend Ambassador Blinds. They are true to their word and stand by their product. read more

Joe Del took care of us and did a fabulous job with our drapes! He worked with our budget and offered the best possible solution for our needs. Joe Del is an amazing business owner. I have purchased from him several times in the past over a 17 year period. I recently renovated my home and had taken the two sliding door shades down myself. When it occurred to me putting them up was going to be complicated, I called Joe. He came to my rescue on very short notice. This in the midst of Covid and the Holidays! His installers ,a really nice husband and wife couple, were knowledgeable, efficient and very kind. The price was reasonable. It is so refreshing to work with a genuine quality owner and his team! My husband and I have remote battery powered Hunter Douglas blinds. Since the company we bought them from is out of business, we needed to find a repair contractor who would honor our warranty and provide reliable repairs. Hunter Douglas recommended Ambassador Blinds. Our experience from scheduling the tech call with Paul, to having the technicians assess the problem and remove the shade, to having a different technician team install the repaired shade, was exceptional. We appreciate Paul's assistance in finding an electrician to convert the shade from battery to electrical power. We are happy to have found such a personable blind repair shop and appreciate the excellent customer service. read more

Had Joe come to our house and discuss our needs, placed our order and, although we were a little concerned about installation with the lock-down from the Coronavirus, we were in good hands. We had our plantation shutters installed today and we are very happy with the window coverings as well as the price. The installers were professional, personable and efficient. Thanks Mark & Jason and of course, Joe! read more

I needed blinds for the new casa - I called Ambassasor Blinds after reading a Yelp review, Joe Del came out the next day, free of charge to look at my windows. Joe asked alot of questions and really got to know my taste and style and vision for the house - he recommended cordless blinds and i decided to give it a whirl. After the blinds came in, Alfredo came out and installed them - he was very pleasant, needed no babysitting :) and installed all the blinds quickly. My boyfriend and I love the way the blinds look and work but we also love the service we got - Joe even stoped by after the install just to check on us and see how we were doing! As soon as our office is done, we will be calling Joe and Alfredo for more blinds!! read more

Joe and his crew did amazing at making our large three panel slider windows look great. We had some issues with too much sun coming through the original roll down shades we had made. Great job and great honest people! Thank you! read more

I have worked with Ambassador Blinds for over 2 years utilizing multiple products they recommended. Their team was very helpful in design and selecting the right blind for each room. We settled on automatic blinds in the most used areas and manual blinds in the rest. We used different fabrics as well based on their recommendations. Everything came out great. They installed on time and have been working well. We had one issue with a motor and Joe Del provided quick customer service to fix the issue. I cannot make one complaint about this company and would highly recommend them. read more

We needed to change out all the window treatments for the late 1980s condo we purchased. Joe Del made the initial sales call and we ordered a 4 inch wood plantation shutters for every window and patio door in the place. He sent out his crew, Cecilia and Felipe to work out details, including lots of inside corner blinds which you just can't buy stock at the big box store. We were given choices on hardware color, finish and whether or not to use folding or sliding panels on the 9 foot patio doors. Installation was professional. There was a slight problem with rollers on the large patio doors and we met with Joe again. He sent out Cecilia who made the adjustments and ordered new rollers which work great. Joe and his crew are polite and left everything clean and tidy. I read the comment about Joe blowing off an appointment and had to laugh because I always confirm and remind contractors about appointments. Maybe it is because my son is ADD! We are so pleased with the work done on our place. It updated our unit and when it is hot or cold out, we notice a huge difference in how comfortable it is inside. The shutters look great inside and outside the unit. We recommend Joe Del and Cecelia and Felipe without reservation. read more

Joe Del completely blew off his appointment at my house today. I called him 30 minutes after the set time and he had to ask me what time it was (i.e., at that moment). Yikes! A contractor who doesn't wear a watch? Anyway, I have no idea whether he does good work or not or whether his prices are fair. I do know that he cannot be counted on to show up at scheduled appointments or to tell you what time it is. read more

These guys are great. They did an install of shutters and blinds for us. The initial install was excellent. They had to create a custom design for one of the applications, and it worked out great. So all of that was great. But the biggest thing is the customer service. One of the custom shutters was damaged, we called for a repair. They were at our house within an hour and the shutter looks good as new. They understand the value of customer service. read more

This review is in response to actions taken by Joe at Ambassador Blinds. After checking at several hardware stores and calling other businesses, I called Ambassador Blinds in hopes of finding a small replacement part for a piece of hardware that had broken and was needed to hold my blinds in place at my back door. The part was of little value, costing maybe $1.00, and, therefore, my inquiry was not one that would produce revenue for the company. A gentleman named Joe answered the phone, listened as I explained my need, and understood what I was referring to. Rather than considering my call insignificant and offering no assistance, Joe went out of his way to help me. After explaining that I had called a warehouse establishment, he asked for my name and address, stated that he would be in my area on his way home from work, and offered to deliver this small, $1 part to my house at no trip charge to me. Really? I was shocked, but was in hopes he would do that. Later that same evening, the part was at my front door with no invoice attached. I was overwhelmed by Joe's willingness to help a perfect stranger. What an extreme act of kindness from someone who had nothing to gain by his actions, but was willing to go out of his way to help meet my need. I am writing this review to acknowledge Joe's kindness and encourage everyone to consider Ambassador Blinds & Interior Design when the need for their services arises. I can only imagine the quality of care and customer service given by Joe to his customers if he is so willing to help a complete stranger. I will definitely consider this establishment for my future needs and hope Joe is there to help me. Thank you, Joe!! read more
