This place has such a cozy, welcoming vibe with plenty of seating to sit back and actually enjoy your drink (bonus points for offering real "for here" cups!). Their selection is impressive--everything from classic coffee drinks to a variety of pastries, plus even beer and other beverages if you're stopping by later in the day. I had a savory biscuit with cheese and herbs that was great and the perfect pairing with my cortado. There were tons of other tempting options too, from pastries to bagels and more. Overall, just a really nice spot with great offerings and a relaxed atmosphere. Such a great find--I'll definitely be back!

I've been coming at minimum twice a week for the past 4 weeks, I'm beginning to think I have a problem. The space reminds me of a French café, not that I've been to France but it's what I seen in movies. They have parking in the back, and free WiFi available for customers. They have a very young team of workers, which makes me think the owner is really looking to invest in the community by hiring local high school students. They are all super professional and attentive to the atmosphere and customers. Now to my FAVORITE PART! The food is AMAZING. I can only speak on the one thing I've been ordering but the Caprese sandwich is soooooo good. It comes with chips or a salad and it's the perfect lunch. I've also had their sweet chai latte which is equally as good. I highly recommend a visit if you are in the Issaquah area.

The area was smaller than expected, but clean with a limited selection of bakeries and lots of cake slices. I was surprised to see how expensive the cakes were, even some of my favorite breads like the coconut cream were closer to $4 each! Unfortunately, given the current economy, I believe this is now the standard cost of dessert breads. I got two breads and one drink! The green tea bun was great- there was a generous amount of filling, and the combo of mochi with cream was very satisfying. The pineapple bun was also delicious, I loved that there was filling inside which kind of reminded me of a cocktail bun/custard bun. Both breads had the standard Asian bakery texture that I love- soft, chewy, and not too sweet or dense. The milk tea flavor was a great combo, though I found the drink to be pretty sweet at 50%. Of the two pastries, the green tea is my favorite! Overall, the bakery tasted as good as I remembered. However, given its prices, I don't see myself coming back often.

The lady was super nice. It's a tiny place and a one-woman run shop. It was a personable and cute experience. I wanted a fancy iced coffee because it was a bright and sunny day in Issaquah. I chose Kathy's special mocha, which was a white coffee with chocolate and caramel. It was delicious. Not too sweet, but very creamy. It didn't even taste like coffee, which makes me wonder what white coffee means. The little coffee shop also has a variety of other drinks some of them involving red bull or lotus energy. I liked the creativity, but I'd personally only come here for coffee and maybe a smoothie or one of their baked goods. They also have sandwiches. There was a daily special sign that said specialty drinks are 10% off, but I didn't see the sign until after I ordered and idk if my drink counted as a specialty drink or if I got the discount. Haha. Oh well. It felt good to support a local business even though drinks are half off at Starbucks every Friday in May. They weren't getting much other business while I was there even though the taco place was crowded with people. I felt a little bad. If you ever find yourself in Issaquah and are looking for a nice coffee, this might be your place! I know I enjoyed it!

The Turkish latte is an absolute must-try. I loved the chicken shawarma sandwich, the chicken was tender, juicy, and the flavors were perfectly balanced without being overwhelming. We're already planning to come back and try more items from the menu. MANTI PLATE ($27): Tiny homemade dumplings filled with savory beef, served in a thin tomato-based sauce and topped with a creamy garlic yogurt, melted butter and sumac. This was such a comforting dish and actually reminded me of pasta. It is a substantial meal for one, or perfect for sharing! MUHAMMARA ($9): A vibrant mix of red pepper, walnuts, garlic & olive oil that made for a fresh and bold dip! One order included two small pieces of bread, which wasn't nearly enough to finish the dip. They really should provide double the bread. However, the dip was so good that I was eating scoops of it all by itself! DUBAI CHOCOLATE CAKE ($9): A light and airy chocolate cake layered with a rich Dubai chocolate filling, featuring a wonderful crunch from finely chopped pistachios and kunafa. Finished with a decadent chocolate ganache, it was good and not overly sweet! MANGO JELLY ROLL ($7): This was just okay. The pastry was soft inside with a slightly chewy exterior, but it felt a bit too bready and I would have preferred more filling. On that note, the mango jelly inside was actually more like a thin custard and it wasn't as bright and fruity as I had hoped. ICED HOUSE CHANTILLY TEA ($6): I was pleasantly surprised by this! It didn't have a strong tea flavor, but offered a unique, refreshing balance of fruitiness and warm spice unlike any tea I've had before. It was served without ice, a better value for the portion, but reached room temperature quickly on this warm day. Service was friendly, our food was delivered in a timely manner and the staff came by to check on us. I'd consider pricing to be somewhat elevated, but I was happy to support this small local business. Next time, I would love to try their Mezze Platter that includes all of their dips, in addition to ordering a couple pastries on the side!

Inside, the shop is very cute, with pastel decore, velvet seats and tables, and plenty of places for photo ops. I ordered the ube matcha latte and the seasonal pandan donut, which were both good. I love ube, so was glad to know that they make their own ube flavoring here, which was the best part of the drink. I also liked the pandan donut, but it was very sweet and rich. Each of us ordered a slice of crepe cake, which felt like a perfect way to end the night. Out of the seven slices, my husband's slice was still frozen in the middle. I walked up to the counter where two young guys were working and politely asked if we could get a different slice, since everyone else was already seated and eating. Instead of acknowledging me, they immediately started speaking Chinese to each other without even a simple "one moment" or any indication they were discussing the issue, so I eventually just walked back to our table. About five minutes later, after they had apparently consulted with a woman in the back, one of the guys finally came over and told us they would not exchange the slice because my husband had already tried it. We were all just sitting there, honestly dumbfounded. A basic level of customer service would have been to apologize and swap one slice of cake, especially when you have a whole group there to celebrate. You didn't just refuse to replace a frozen slice of cake--you lost seven customers over the way you handled it. We will not be coming back.
