I don't love how greasy their croissants and sandwiches are. I wish they had better breakfasts or served food with protein that was less oily. I don't think I've ever enjoyed a sandwich I've gotten from here, and I swear I try them at least every other month. The vibes totally make up for their gross sammies and are my favourite thing about this place!! I love coming here for a reading date or to craft and yap with friends. The pineapple bun was also delicious, I loved that there was filling inside which kind of reminded me of a cocktail bun/custard bun. Both breads had the standard Asian bakery texture that I love- soft, chewy, and not too sweet or dense. The milk tea flavor was a great combo, though I found the drink to be pretty sweet at 50%. Each of us ordered a slice of crepe cake, which felt like a perfect way to end the night. Out of the seven slices, my husband's slice was still frozen in the middle. I walked up to the counter where two young guys were working and politely asked if we could get a different slice, since everyone else was already seated and eating. Instead of acknowledging me, they immediately started speaking Chinese to each other without even a simple "one moment" or any indication they were discussing the issue, so I eventually just walked back to our table. About five minutes later, after they had apparently consulted with a woman in the back, one of the guys finally came over and told us they would not exchange the slice because my husband had already tried it. We were all just sitting there, honestly dumbfounded. A basic level of customer service would have been to apologize and swap one slice of cake, especially when you have a whole group there to celebrate. You didn't just refuse to replace a frozen slice of cake--you lost seven customers over the way you handled it. We will not be coming back.
