Recently I hired Amazon Tree Services to take down my maple tree, grind the stump and remove all the wood chips. The owner arrived on time, was polite and personable, and explained what would be done. I have had similar tree work completed a number of times over the years, but never had such an amazing experience for all 3 tasks. First of all, the price for everything was lower compared to other companies. The men who removed the tree were respectful, very skilled, extremely careful, and thorough in prepping my neighbor's driveway in addition to when they lifted the branches and trunk over the roof of my house and into the grinding machine and/or truck. A while later, a man returned with the stump grinding machine. He worked slowly and precisely to fit the machine through my gate with only a few inches of room on each side. I was thrilled with his cautious manner. And he spent a long time going over the stump until it was completely ground up. He told me that he tried to follow the roots so he could get everything and he did succeed. The next day two workers came to remove the wood chips so the area would be ready to receive the loam and seed/fertilizer. They filled a large plastic trash barrel over 10 times, lifted it onto their shoulders, and dumped them into their truck. When they were done, one man asked if it was satisfactory. I was thrilled because there was not one speck of wood chips left on the ground. I would highly recommend Amazon Tree Services for your next job. The work ethic is excellent, they do a commendable job, and the price is very reasonable and better than other companies. read more

I had them give me a quote in addition to a few more companies. Though their prices were so so, I chose not to proceed with them. However on Monday 3/27/2023 they showed up at my property without permission and almost started cutting. Coincidentally for the same day I already hired another company so I thought they were subcontracted but that was not the case when I checked with the company I hired which was coming later that day. It felt weird that another tree company would subcontract to a competing company. So... they just showed up without permission! If I was not home they would have started cutting and probably send me a bill I never agreed to. The police have been notified of no trespass if they use this unethical business practice again in the future. read more

Tried to use them for several trees they no called no showed twice. The best part the used the exact same excuse both times. Will never give them my money if you don't have the curtesy to call and let me know my business isn't worth your time. 4 trees must not be big enough of a job. read more

It seems my experience was very similar to the other review. I had Elio come over and quote some tree work/removal for me. He was very polite and quoted the best price of everyone else I had give an estimate. The work entailed trimming of a few trees, removal of one tree and grinding the left over stump. I asked them to leave the wood so I could split it for firewood. I chose to have the work done with Amazon. Skip forward to the day of the work being done. I arrived home to find their bucket truck parked on my lawn and sinking into it. I asked one of the workers where Elio was and he wasn't even there. The stump I was to have removed did not get removed and they had to come back another day when they had the stump grinder. The work was done, but I was left with large tire marks on my lawn. I asked Amazon to come back and fill in the marks, which they said they would, but they never did. I ended up having to do it my self. I was also not left with the wood, so I had to go buy firewood. All in all, the work was completed, but I was left with much more of a headache than anything else. I would not recommend them to a friend or family. read more

They worked together seamlessly, and took the extra time and effort to clean up the yard, and also covered the damaged roof area as rain was forecasted. Quoted and scheduled removal of one large tree and also grind tree stump with Elio. The inclusion of tree stump grinding was repeatedly mentioned during the scheduling (they have to rent equipment for stump grinding). In fact, Elios called us specifically to confirm stump grinding the day before the service. During the day of service (11/25/2014), Amazon tree service arrived and proceeded to do removal. 1) They drove their large crane truck directly onto my front lawn without asking first (I had the use of my neighbor's driveway specifically for that purpose) and did not put down any protective boards at all. I now have ditches on my previous flat front lawn. 2) After tree was removed, they asked the payment for tree removal first, then said the they forgot to rent the stump grinder, and will return within a week to finish the job. After that, ALL calls to Elio and Wex went unanswered (weekly). Numerous voice mail were left, none answered. This went on until mid Jan 2015 (1.5 month has passed), I am starting to get really worried since follow up jobs are now at risk and stepped up the call frequency. After daily calling and voice mail messages, amazon tree services finally answered one call. During the call Amazon tree service essentially admitted they were ducking my calls because coming out only for the stump grinding is not profitable for them, and they refuse to honor our job agreement or take responsibility for it. In summary, when Amazon tree service found that a mistake that they made (forgot to rent stump grinder) will reduce their profit, elected to 1) lie when they said they will be back in a week 2) intentionally ducking customer calls instead of explaining the situation 3) when caught in the lie refuse to take any kind of responsibility. Use them at your own risk. ( I have kept record of the original estimate, check stub and phone records as proof.) I can only say good things about Amazon Tree Service. I called and asked for a quote and got a response within hours and a quote the next day. They provided the most reasonable price and completed the work in a day. Five large trees, all over four stories high taken down carefully and safely. The stumps left behind were cut right at the ground and they cleaned up the areas nicely. Not a spare leaf on the ground. I highly recommend Amazon Tree Service for any removals or trimming and I will use them again. read more

I work for the local utility and have seen several tree companies at work. This one is as professional and courteous as they come. I had a sick 75 foot tree that needed removed. The crew arrived on time with all equipment (crane, chipper, stump grinder and bucket truck). They layed about 50 sheets of 3/4 inch plywood to prevent damage to the driveway and lawn. The climber/owner was very professional and removed the tree with minimal damage to surrounding trees. All the crew kept busy and when they weren't dragging and chipping branches they were cleaning up. They even cleaned the yard with a leaf blower. They even cleaned the excess and dead branches on the 2 trees next to the one removed to enhance their growth. read more

This is the second time I have used Amazon Tree service. My review, outstanding work. I have an 850 foot driveway through the woods. During the storm last winter it looked like a bomb went off along my driveway. It was depressing. I would bet there were 20 large truckloads of debris and multiple trees down or half down. This was also the case around my house. Including some large and very nice ornamental trees (50 feet tall) with tall broken climbs. Amazon arrived at my house with four workers and the owner. It was almost 90 degrees. They did an amazing job. They didn't stop for a minute except for lunch. They had a huge chipper and a chipper truck, a bucket truck with a 60 foot reach a stump grinder and climbing gear. They were extremely polite, very thorough, let me watch which took the whole day and without getting irritated and went above the call of duty. If they saw a limb that needed to come down that we didn't discuss in the estimate they took the initiate to take it down which involved setting up the bucket truck. Personally in my opinion the owner has a high degree of expertise and is the best person with a chain saw I have ever seen. The job also involved hauling heavy logs out of the woods from a distance so it wasn't easy. One other note the owner is very nice to his help. His wife arrived at lunchtime with a very nice lunch from a restaurant for each of them. I said that's nice and they said she does that every day. One last point they are reasonable. So if you are looking for high quality work at a good price from nice people call them. read more
