First of all, there is more employees there than customers! It's crazy because the whole concept is all these cameras to have less people working but it seems that's not the case. I've come here on several occasions. It's never busy like shop rite. I guess it's still new. You can enter without being a prime member. You can even pay with a cashier like regular places. But if you choose to enter as a prime member, you just locate the in-store code and scan in. It seems they have a lot of products and a variety so you will see options. I wish they have the same selection as Whole Foods though. There is plenty but maybe Whole Foods has way 5x more products and varieties. I really like their hot bar here! It's way cheaper than Whole Foods. It's by container size not weight!!! They have great fried chicken, basmati rice, veggies, curry chicken meatballs, Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes daily. They often have a variety of soups and the salad bar is great as well. The sushi is fantastic! My kids love the California rolls and each is $6.49 which is good. The only improvement would be accuracy of items taken. Sometimes, the order total would be incorrect because it counts items you haven't taken. If that the case, you can get your money back easily when pointing out the error. Overall, it's good but there can be lots to improve. read more

Truly awesome experience - great selection, solid hot foods/soup/salad/olives bar, the store is quiet, no need to go through the checkout line, literally just walk out...the amount of time saved every trip can't be overstated, it's crazy - love it!! The only slight downside is that expiration dates on some time of the fresh foods are relatively short - just be sure to check/plan accordingly. If I had to guess, it's probably to get you back in the store every 7-10 days. Also, ignore the harsh bs reviews...obviously people with an agenda against Amazon. Haters gonna hate! read more

Great customer service and good coffee. I visit this place on Saturday morning and after looking at the menu wasn't sure what to order, I like burgers a lot so I asked the server if the burgers were frozen it fresh and after asking, she said " the burgers are fresh". I ordered a bacon Swiss burger with fries. I like my meat pink so I order it medium. The birder came out well done and dry to dead. I you can tell the meat was frozen and no seasoned at all. If you love the gimmicky no checkout by scanning in and out with your phone in return for overpriced generic label groceries, then this is your store. I am not sure what the business model is or who their target customer is. If you want an abundance of pricey goods, then there is Amazon's Whole Foods. After the fanfare of the initial opening, the parking lot is repeatedly empty. The red flag for me is when their mailed sale flyer for their grand opening, still advertised obvious overpriced goods. Their bakery and deli are pathetic. A few meats sitting in a huge case, a few donuts tying to fill the display case and some lonely baguette bread. If everyone remembers Fairway, it was truly iconic with their lavish abundance of store made quality offerings. However it still could not compete with the big chain grocers that led to it's demise. I do not like the idea of not verifying what I am being charged until you get their email receipt. And then what, another trip to correct it? The shelf label pricing is obnoxiously tiny. If you choose to do a manual checkout, you cannot use Apple Pay, or a CC not listed on you Amazon account. read more

The prices seem high compared to other local grocery stores. I came on the second day it was open. Their shopping concept of not having to check out was interesting but not much of a time saver. There was a bottleneck at the entrance and leaving the store. I probably won't be back. read more

Cool idea, execution is even well-done. Prices and selection are pretty terrible. Considering the competition in the area, why wouldn't you work on that? Because it's got Amazon money behind it, they'll stay even though the place is going to wear thin with in-store shoppers very quickly and lose money. It was amazing! Even though they don't have the dash carts like the other locations, you still have to use the Amazon app to check in and out. I was able to find what I needed and it was a breeze! I really enjoy the Just Walk Out Shopping! It totally beats waiting in line! The hot food I had there was also very good! I'd totally come back! read more

I like this store. I find the prices to be reasonable and I always end up buying more than i intended because I find good deals that shouldn't be passed up. Staff is friendly and extremely helpful. I also love their prepared foods, a fantastic deal because not only is it delicious and convenient but cost saving because you fill the box according to size, not weight. Pizza is a great deal too and the prepared chicken roasters. Soup is awesome. Highly recommend shopping here to make your life easier. read more

Cold and sterile. Those would be the two adjectives to describe this supermarket. With so many other great supermarkets in the immediate area (Stew Leonard's and Wegmans especially) I can't see why anyone would voluntarily come here. As another person mentioned in this review section, there is a large hospital, which should be completely open in 2023 and you'd have to imagine Amazon fresh is looking to capitalize on the grab and go audience. I'll end my little review with this nugget: the bananas that we purchased here never ripened. They stayed green for over a week. I've never seen that in my lifetime, and hopefully never will again. read more

Fresh makes it easy to pop in and grab something real quick. I love shopping with no checkout line (though they do have one if you want). At first it feels like shoplifting, but that passes quickly. For the rare error, it's corrected immediately. The staff seem happy to be there, which is a good sign too. read more

Amazon Fresh is my least favorite grocery store in Paramus. I visited Amazon Fresh once in July 2022 with my friends and it was pretty good. The food and drinks were expensive to buy while you are grocery shopping. My mom and I don't even grocery shop at Amazon Fresh. We grocery shop at Wegmans, Shop-Rite, ACME, & Whole Foods every weekend. Amazon Fresh replaced Fairway after the shut down in 2020. Kids, don't grocery shop at Amazon Fresh. read more

The store is laid out well & very clean but they do have too many employees. They do not have the all of the items in stock, especially if they are on sale, or a large selection. The prices are high but I am using the $20.00 of $40.00 & I am getting good deals cause i know what the prices should be. Once that ends on 10/11/2022, i will not go back. The produce is ok, the deli is good, The seafood and meat departments are too close together. The rib eyes are ok, the chop meat was weird. This weekend, they were out of milk for over 2 days. The store is empty of customers and I doubt it willl make it but they are probably holding out for the new hospital to open in a year from now. BTW the coconut custard pie is excellent! read more

I went to this store to do a few returns for amazon. The girl who did my returns shot me in the eye with her handheld scanning device two times. After the second time I explained to her that she was shooting me in the eye and to please redirect the laser. She said, "Don't tell me what to do!" I replied, "You are shooting a laser in my eye I am certainly going to tell you not to do that." She then said, "You need to shut up, Shut up SHUT UP!!!" Then nick the manager came over. I explained to him what happened and he said, "She must be having a bad day. Haven't you ever had a bad day?" I said, "Yes, but I didn't go to my place of employment and start telling people to shut up." He had nothing else to say so I left and I will never go to the store again.
