The good thing about Trader Joe's is they will take anything back. I recently bought a sauce called Truffle Piccante Spicy Pasta Sauce that will definitely be going back. It is at once the best sauce ever with the truffle taste and then you get the cumin and it is the worst. Why ruin such a good sauce with cumin? I was so grossed out I had to dump all the pasta out. I also tried the Turkey Pot Pie that was at first too sweet but then I grew to like it and there's nothing to return. I ate it all. I know a lot of people are huge Trader Joe's fans. I'm only newly jumping on the bandwagon. I come to this shopping plaza in Edgewater often and it conveniently has lots of parking. My husband has always loved TJs, especially their frozen meals selection (it is pretty impressive, I must say). I always found TJ enthusiasts to be a little elitist (sometimes cultish, even) but I can see the appeal. They have a really wide variety of products for people with special tastes and different diets. I found the flavor offerings to be very unique and interesting. Even the frozen meals are restaurant grade quality, which I can't say about others grocery stores with their own line. My experience at this store in particular was pretty good. It was a little crowded when I arrived on Saturday evening but the store was pretty intuitive to navigate. The aisles are wide and the store associates are constantly tidying up so nothing is out of place. The people who work at the store are friendly and helpful too. I've only been here a few times and I don't come here to do my main groceries, usually just fill in items, so I can't speak to the prices too much. I think the frozen meal prices are very reasonable. Some of their snack foods and meats looked a little more expensive though. I can see why people like it though- the quality is very good. I absolutely love coming to this Trader Joe's , it's one of the three locations closest to me but the parking situation is why it wins every single time. Also the staff is amazing. Everyone always has a smile on their face and is helpful. I completely get the layout of this Trader Joe's which is why it works for me. While the store itself may be busy, there is never a line and the cashiers always ensure to build a relationship with you based on your groceries. I'm a Trader Joe's fan and occasionally shop at this location on a weekday morning. Although this is generally a well stocked store, when I can't find something or have a question, I rarely see a crew member on the floor and have to go to the front of the store to customer service to inquire. In the last year, they moved the coffee close to the front of the store but left the coffee grinder at the back of the aisle. So you have to get your coffee and then wheel your cart to the back of the store to grind it. Why? There's no logical reason. When you go to check out, there may be only one or two checkouts staffed. So you get on line after another customer. Another crew member opens a checkout and instead of taking someone on line, they sometimes take a customer who only then walks up to the checkout. If you're only going to open a checkout when there are customers waiting, then you should have a single checkout line so that customers are taken in order. There are not reusable bags for sale at checkout. They are all grouped in a single area. read more

Love Love Trader Joe's and glad there is one in the hood! We always love to go there to get our favorites and also to see what new items are added periodically. It's not huge so there is usually a line of people to go in due to social distancing during the pandemic; however, line does move pretty quickly. Staff was friendly and someone was always outside to clean the carts for people to use. How nice and thoughtful!! Its frozen food section is the best. We love the Korean BBQ short ribs, Mandarin orange chicken, and soup dumplings. And the frozen desserts are simply addictive!! Our recently great find includes the Bulgogi fried rice with Kimchi and I can't wait to try the mussels! Prices are very reasonable and portion is perfect for 1-2 people. Staff was always friendly and restrooms were available. Ample parking available. There are also some great restaurants in the area with a fantastic view of Hudson River and NYC Skyline. This is one of the nearest Trader Joe's to me and that's why i come here all the time. It can get busy inside but i never have to wait in a line to get in which is what i love. Every time i come, i just walk in. They have a large selection of goodies, specially in the frozen food section which is my favorite. Every time i go i always find something i want to try. The other day i bought almond biscotti (delicious) Can't forget the friendly staff. The person ringing me out is always friendly. I will continue coming here to do some food shopping. read more

After lunch, I visited this store in the same strip mall as the restaurant. I was pretty amazed on the variety of international cuisines offered here and the prices are so reasonable. I love this Trader Joe. I have been to many other Trader Joe's and always come back here for my regular grocery shopping. I think it has a lot to do with the amazing location it is in - right next to the water and I never have to fight for parking (except if you go during peak hours). My one suggestion to the store and I know it applies to all TJs - is the location of flowers in the store. There's always a crowd stopping there and it being next to produce creates a big bottleneck. But I think that's how all TJs are. I love their frozen food aisle - Mandarin chicken, cacio e Pepe, their cauliflower pizza, Indian food and the matcha green tea ice cream (check out how cheap it is!). The shawarma chicken thighs are convenient when I am lazy to cook but still want a healthy meal. Also don't miss out on their $1 gift card (why pay more?) and their highly rated sunscreen (at least 30% cheaper than name brands). There are large communities of TJ fans online who will share their TJ hacks and reviews of new products. My current favorite food combination is creating my own filet o fish - frozen breaded tilapia (air fried), American cheddar, tartar sauce and a burger bun. read more

OMG, I wish I lived near this trader Joes because I loved this store and the experience. The store is so big and spacious. You can walk around without bumping into other people and see all of the products freely. Wow, wow and wow, I was just so amazed at how neat and organized everything was in this store compared to the store I frequent in Queens, NY-Metropolitan Ave. The parking lot is huge and you didn't have to wait for someone to leave. wow. I noticed they had different products that I haven't seen in other trader joes or maybe just missed because its always so crowded in the NYC stores I visit. For example, I purchased some freaking pretzel bagels that I loveddddd and never saw before. I also picked up some ginger cookies for a friend who has been looking for them for awhile. The staff were friendly and helpful. I used the bathroom which was clean and just wished this was my local store. This location had good selections, reasonable prices, clean space, super friendly and helpful staff members. Beware if you're driving though because it is hard to find parking at certain times of the day. You'll need to park further and walk which isn't too bad unless you're buying a ton of groceries. Currently obsessed with Trader Joe's new product, "plantain crisps - crispy plantain slices" and it seems like everyone else is as well because it goes out of stock so quickly. However, it gets pretty crowded, especially on Sundays, so don't expect to get in and out quickly just due to the amount of people there. I wonder if this tj hires someone who's racist against Asian looking customers. I tried to use my $5 gift card but was told there's no money in it. Tried to explain but staff Rohini, being extremely disrespectful, glanced at me up and down then said something like, well, anyone can say she has 50 bucks in it, but you can't prove it, can you. Trader Joe's is literally my favorite place ever. Affordable, healthy, unique options for groceries and snacks! Be prepared for a lot of exclamation points because homegirl is exciteddd... I haven't been here since May! I didn't realize until I was chatting with the cashier. My man Ary was so sweet and friendly. I love befriending all of the workers there. They are just very down to earth. They also are very helpful when you have a question about just about anything. Nice to note that there are no longer mile long lines out the door at this location. That was mainly what deterred me from frequenting Traders during much of 2020. Aint nobody got time for that! Seeing as I haven't been there in quite some time, I went a little ham and bought everything in sight. No surprise there. Let me just tell you a few highlights! New salad kits that I haven't seen before! Stocked up on quite a few for my 2021 "diet". Don't worry, I'll still be dining out for my fellow Yelpers :) I also saw that they have a new item I haven't seen before, instant cold brew!! What whatttt. I am obsessed with their instant Columbian coffee but I have a really good feeling this new item will quickly take its place. Bought 4 bottles in faith (and also a strong vote of confidence from a worker there). I also grabbed a few packages of chicken bone broth as an upgrade to my usual chicken stock. Excited to try that in my cooking and reap the added health benefits of bone broth! I also picked up their soft baked snickerdoodles....(ok forget the diet). Last but not least, I made sure to grab a few ingredients for charcuterie boarding tonight!! I recommend their cheese sampler to get a nice variety of cheeses. I love Trader Joe's! That being said, this location is wonderful. I always find what I need, and I'm in and out of the store quickly. During the winter months I sometimes even stop in during my lunch break, and leave my food in the car. (I only do this when the temperature outside is colder then the inside of my refrigerator, LOL) Stopping in on the weekend is something I try to avoid as it is often crowded. I usually stop in during the week directly after work. The best part about shopping at Trader Joe's is that I feel like I never make random purchases. Popped in, some lines but they were relatively fast. Downsides are the entry and the exit ramps; watch out for bad drivers as I was almost t-boned by two of them in the parking lot not paying attention to driving, instead mulling something over on the phone. Shelves were half empty! I know post-1/1 that people would be understocked due to the new year's parties emptying the shelves, but this was ridiculous... well, at least some little snacks were still available. There's a lot of chips (all different kinds of kale, corn, sweet potato, etc.) and a little seasonal section of popcorn tins and other snacks still there. You can find some reasonable snacks ($2 a bag or so) and a lot of frozen and pre-prep meals (they know their customers of the area). A staffer up-front trying to direct people to an open cashier... Whole Foods has them beat in the efficiency aisle there. And they don't try to cram the store full of things - a lot of very wide-open shelves and aisles, but this also leaves it feeling a bit bare. People do seem to have reasonably full arms/baskets, though. read more
