This is a small but mighty store. It has several departments including meat/seafood, produce, pizza, and deli. The store is super clean and has a nice atmosphere with clear signs, bright lights, and pleasant music. They have self-checkout stations, regular cashiers, and also cart technology that lets you just walk out and it automatically charges a credit card on file. They're so advanced! Staff are friendly and willing to help. Free parking up to a minimum outside on a surface lot that turns into a garage in the lower levels.

Great value across the board including donuts for the kids !

I am rather surprised at the somewhat hostile reviews for this convenient and low priced supermarket option. They have consistently great coupons and sales particularly for Amazon Prime members and also process returns fairly efficiently. Cashiers are friendly and self checkout options work without a hitch also. As far as the food goes just know that it's not as premium as Whole Foods but there's enough here where it can probably take care of 80 pct or more of your day to day grocery needs. They have some very good options for beef / pork / poultry; seafood can be more limited beyond frozen options branded Amazon. Hot food is iffy aside from the chicken. Nice added bonus is my kids love donuts and they regularly price these below $1. Smaller store than the other Chevy Chase location but quicker to get in and out of between smaller size and above ground parking. Overall a very good spot.

A better experience today. The auto carts was very cool. Start by scanning your personal code from your Amazon app into the cart. Just place the items in the cart and they are scanned. To weigh something the care itself will zero and then place the item in the cart and it weighs it. Fast and easy. Roll out the special exit area and you are charge in your account then leave.

This is the only grocery store that is close to the Friendship Heights Metro Station. That was the primary reason why I came here today. I was basically on foot and commuting via the metro, so my options were somewhat limited in terms of places to get lunch. I immediately wasn't a fan when I realized after the second that I walked in, that so would need to climb up a flight of steps. I went over to the deli section in hopes of finding some ready-made cold sandwiches, but their options were extremely limited. They had plenty of sushi and pizza slices, but not too much when it came to jist healthy sandwiches. I settled on a prepared chicken Cesar wrap. I was around $6.00 and quite small to be honest. It appeared as though they carry most of the basic items as any other grocery store, but the store seemed a little too sterile and plain for my liking.

I have been waiting for this Amazon fresh to open for quite some time. I I'm glad they are finally open and they have ample parking. They offer two lots and 2-hour parking. Everything is fresh and clean and the lighting is excellent. I got to spin the wheel out front for something free! I also found a wonderful fresh kitchen where I was able to get a late lunch. They have a great special 2 slices and a vitamin water for about $5. I will be back.

A fulfillment center vibe. Dark, super cold, with very basic products. Matched my expectations exactly, so no disappointment here.

My sushi was literally frozen. The cucumber was ice. And the chicken from the "hot bar" was somehow colder.

Ah, Trader Joe's--my happy place with questionable parking. Let's start with the only negative: the…read moreparking lot. It's under an apartment building, which makes it feel less like parking and more like playing a live-action game of Tetris with SUVs. Honestly, it's a little bananas (pun absolutely intended). But hey, what can you do? You survive the parking, and then you get rewarded with the magical land of Trader Joe's. Once you step inside, it's a completely different story. The store is bright, fresh, and easy to navigate. No wandering around like you're trapped in a corn maze--everything is right where you expect it. Within minutes, my cart went from "just eggs and milk" to "how did I end up with three bags of frozen dumplings, Cookie Butter, and enough snacks to survive the apocalypse?" The food? Always fresh. The produce section is unbeetable (sorry, couldn't resist). The frozen aisle? A greatest hits collection of comfort food. And the snacks? Dangerous. You don't go to Trader Joe's to stick to a list--you go to "accidentally" find new obsessions. And don't even get me started on the seasonal items. I fall in love, get attached, and then they disappear faster than free samples. (RIP pumpkin kringle, gone too soon.) The staff here are the real MVPs. Everyone is friendly, cheerful, and ready to help. Need to find something? They'll walk you to it. Buy a new snack? They'll tell you the best way to enjoy it. The cashiers are basically snack therapists--nodding along, validating my frozen orange chicken addiction like it's a completely normal life choice. And of course, the flowers. Somehow Trader Joe's has the power to convince me I'm the kind of person who always has fresh flowers at home. For $5, my kitchen suddenly looks Pinterest-worthy, and my groceries feel fancier than they actually are. So yes--the parking is tight, but the payoff is worth it. Trader Joe's is the breadwinner of grocery stores (get it?). It's the place where you come for groceries but leave with joy, snacks, and probably a bag of peanut butter pretzels you never knew you kneaded.

It was a combination of plusses and minuses. First, I thought the store was quite clean and well stocked, always a good thing. I would have expected the produce area to be larger though. The meat department was again well stocked and clean, though some of the seafood, particularly the salmon, did not look fresh. They carry their Care One line of personal care items that I buy in my local stores. Prices seem a bit steeper down here, probably a result of the location. But in fairness, not having visited a lot of other grocery stores in the area, I can't say whether these prices are competitive or not. But most items not on sale were typically 10% more expensive than where I shop at home. The parking lot is inadequate for the amount of business they do, and I think they would have benefited from some additional entrances and exits. You do need to proceed with caution and keep a watchful eye when driving through it.

Overall an OK stop for a sale or convenience pick up but wouldn't do a big grocery haul here…read morebecause of higher prices. It's a smaller sized grocery store compared to some so may have less selection. Has a fair sized parking lot. Newer self checkouts have made the lines go a bit faster. Prices are higher here but sometimes sales & coupons from the app can be good and I regularly see meat products marked down on manager discount as well (but maybe because of dates). Also has a deli counter & a raw seafood counter.

I've been now FOUR straight Mondays and no roasted chicken. And, every SINGLE time I ask when more will be ready, they always say 30 to 40 minutes. I literally waited the 40 minutes two weeks ago and came back to the deli and the deli staff person told me (different person than 40 minutes ago) that he just got in and it would be 30 to 40 minutes!!!! I go at 3 pm, no chicken, i go at 430, no chicken, i got at 530, no chicken. When there isn't the "deal," there's always roasted chicken, but on Mondays, there's "30 to 40 minutes." Bait and switch much?!? This time, i talked to the manager (just arrived on shift today at 530) and told her that this keeps happening. She walked away from me as I was taking to her TWICE. I asked for a rain check since this is the 4th straight time and was dismissed. They actually don't seen to care at all. And it's always the same deli staff telling me it'll be 30 to 40 minutes. They know me by now but don't seem to care about this. They have the fried chicken and the habenero chicken, just never the roasted chicken. My daughter loves the roasted chicken, but not on Mondays I guess.
