AM PM Towing - Life savers in action - Towing Near Me - Bell Gardens, California

A few weeks ago I called AAA to get a tow and they sent AM PM Towing to help. I haven't received the service survey from AAA so I'm leaving a review here. I was so impressed by the excellent service I received. The street the truck had to be towed from was a two way busy street in Downey on Downey Ave. I didn't know how the truck was going to be able to get towed since the traffic in the evening there never stops and the position the truck was parked made it seem it would be difficult. AM PM Towing gets there and Richard helps us, it took him less than 10 minutes to get the truck onto his tow truck. I was so amazed by how fast he did evening. He was very kind and professional. He made it look so easy. I would definitely recommend them and it's worth having AAA because there was no out of pocket $$ from this tow. Thank you so much for your service. read more

Big Shout out to Cristo. Thank you for coming to us when we were stranded. I appreciate everything you did for us and admire those skills on the narrow streets. I was impressed when you made it through that street and up the driveway. Thank you for being so careful with the vehicle. The level of professionalism was exceptional. I am really glad I contacted you directly and not through a third party. You got to me within ten minutes of hanging up with the dispatcher. The price was fair for the distance I needed. I hope I don't need to use a tow truck again, but I know who to call in case I do. Can't thank you enough. read more

My insurance outsourced AM PM to my location when I got a flat tire and they arrived within 40 minutes. We weren't able to put on the spare because my wheel lock was missing, but the technician put in a request for a tow truck and helped me navigate what to do next. I didn't get his name but he was so helpful in that stressful time. The tow truck came around 30 minutes after. Junior was extremely efficient and kind throughout the night. He handled everything with care but also speed. You'll be in good hands if you get Junior! Throughout the night the dispatcher also called multiple times to give updates. Appreciate the communication and customer service! read more

Called triple A for roadside assistance, this is the first time I've encountered a towing company that doesn't even come or communicate regarding their ETA. It looks like they are taking advantage of triple A members so they can get a commission out of it or something. I was trying to be patient all I needed was to jumpstart my car, it is such a quick and easy solution but yet it took awhile. Uploaded some pictures with triple A text messaging update. Kept delaying the ETA and I'm close by, about 13 mins away from their shop and it is the weekend as well so no traffic. First ETA was 0813pm, 0857 pm, then 0906 pm, 0918 pm (updated via phone call) so called triple a and told them regarding this complaint and looked up some yelp reviews, I realized I don't want to waste my time, I was tired from work and just wanted to go home, it is accurate and don't waste your time call triple A to change the company and file a complaint, boycott this company. Doesn't deserve to be a successful company. They never came and I ended up cancelling it and called my bf to jumpstart my car instead. Waste of time and will call triple A and file a complaint. AGAIN FAIR WARNING, do not expect them to be there. WASTE OF TIME. Let's file a complaint and this company doesn't deserve to be in business. Such a shady people to be working with triple a just saying. read more

I honestly can't say enough good things about AM PM towing. I just finished my shift at work and found out my car wouldn't start. Not the best news at all. I got on my AAA app and started a roadside service request and within minutes, Richard met me at my car. Such a relief especially being stuck at almost 1 in the morning in a parking garage. He was able to get the car started and I was able to get on my way. What stood out though was how friendly and attentive he was. He also wanted to make sure I felt safe enough to drive it and offered a tow just in case. The rating they have on Yelp is unfair and unfounded. These guys are awesome and after dealing with them I don't think I want any other tow service besides them. read more

Julio was knowledgeable, respectful and quick to help get me back on the road. The service request was less than 40 min. read more

The towing company is bad the driver who went to get my van was not nice it was warm he was just complain about how sweaty he was he made matters worse instead of helping I made the complaint to Triple A hopefully they take matters into this situation contract with another towing company at least for the Downey area read more

They did an amazing job! They kept me updated with arrival time! The driver was very personable and professional. They really saved me when I was stranded! read more

Junior was the best tow guy I ever met. He took care of my fathers car like it was his own.. He made sure it got on the tow truck with no damages. He was very strategic when dealing with the car considering the broken axel and how he was able to hoist the car onto the tow bed with no scratches and any further damages. I definitely rate these guys 10 out of 10 !!! Thanks for your service ... Big shout to Junior read more

I had a dead battery that I noticed after a 12 hour shift at the hospital. I called AAA and was told this company would be assisting me with a 30 min ETA. I ended up getting frustrated with AAA because 30 min was closing in with no tracking updates. When the company called me, they said they were backed up and only had jump start assistance available. Turns out, there was a break in communication and the battery truck was 2 min away. There were two guys that arrived who immediately told me "we've been trying to call you." No introductions. I had zero missed calls. Turns out they had the wrong phone number for me. Instead of apologizing, they laughed to themselves and proceeded to work on my battery. I wish I wasn't stuck, otherwise would have wanted to purchase a battery from another towing company. They were quietly giggling among themselves in another language. Unprofessional. read more

Had to call AAA today for a tow. Was bummed out but when our tow guy Israel showed up the day got better! He got there in about 25 minutes and we were able to track him so this put us at ease. He was super friendly and he was going to have to drop the car off at the dealership. He knew exactly what he had to do when he got there so that also made us feel better. Very nice and professional guy. Turned a bad day into not such a bad day! read more

Huge shout out to Junior who was friendly, professional and efficient. He treated my car like it was his own and he got to my location in under 30 minutes. I paid for towing my car to the mechanic and the driver didn't know what he was doing. He called me 15 minutes later to say that my car had fallen off of the flat bed truck on the way to the mechanic. Absolutely terrible. Then they tried to blame me for their incompetence. Shame on you!!! I will be reporting you to AAA read more

Yes, I used AAA but were denied by AM PM. AAA was great! The problem was 100% AM PM. We even called AM PM direct... what attitude. AAA needs to find a different tow company in the Downey area. AM PM has horrific service. I have had years of problems with AM PM. I have had zero problems with tow companies through AAA besides AM PM and outside of Downey. I just wrote to AAA about this problem. If AM PM can't handle it's AAA contract... they shouldn't have it. Nothing will change because owner can't take accountability and doesn't obviously know what's really going on. read more

Poor service, they do not follow up with ETA, I will never use them again and will never recommend them to any one.

Tow guy super friendly! He was so helpful and made great conversation! Beach bound here we go!

Picture yourself just leaving the Dentist ( in severe pain) and having a very bad infection ( seems when you have terminal Cancer every pain is usually accompanied by another body infection) I pull over after getting a text that I am missing my Cancer Support Group! So I pulled over to participate in the last part of the meeting. After the meeting was over I tried to start my car it was "dead" My car is very new so thought it was a warranty issue. Called my mechanic and said I was getting a jump and would drive to Orange. Called AAA between myself and my family we have been members since 1946 that's 78 years. They dispatched a truck from AM PM Towing in text message for about 1 hour OKAY seems reasonable but wait NO CALL FROM THEIR DISPATCH NO LINK TO FOLLOW THE TRUCK ( BECAUSE HE NEVER DISPATCHED ONE ) called as a follow-up since not heard from anyone going on an hour! Then was told it would be another hour. According to AAA dispatch? Then his tow guy calls and says he is by LAX on 105 and will be there in 10 minutes. He was 45 minutes away! Then LEVI a dispatcher from AM PM calls when I am now on the phone again with AAA! LEVI, start giving me a "poor me" I have to work so hard?? He's so busy and he has a large stack of orders ( I think to myself sure actually thought this was a Bu-----it story and I was so frustrated I said it out loud) MY BAD!! NOW HERE COMES THE PUNISHMENT HE CANCELED MY TOW WHILE I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH THE SUPERVISOR WHO CALLED BACK! He had left a VM ( I glanced at the text) and told AAA so guess what? SOMEONE'S VILLAGE IS MISSING THE IDIOT!! Again AAA dispatched their firm again and he made me wait another hour and then cancel! No call no notification! I am now getting sick! It's hot outside no water no food ( I ate at 5:30 am it's now 3:00 pm) I am dizzy and getting ill and now feeling traumatized thinking they leave me in this sketchy area and I will be beaten and possibly killed! it is now 3:45 and now an out-of-area tow canceled! Oh keep in mind I am 76 years old, physically disabled ( leg paralyzed from surgery ) have terminal cancer and I am feeling physically awful now they want to call an ambulance (so who is paying the 20 % and the wasted cost of an ER visit? I'm terribly dehydrated and feeling the effects of a lowered immune system and the terrible fatigue that comes with Cancer and no one cares This is now bordering on Elder Abuse and AAA dispatch is an alternative reality! Now wining away "Oh I can't and won't do anything for me" Oh the final insult Steve one of the AAA dispatched said, "DID YOU FILE A COMPLAINT"? What? I thought someone had already done that. NOPE. I had to ask for them to file one. They do not make a report of how awful the situation becomes! It's up to me to request.! Finally, Dovi called me from AAA and she started the process of getting an H & R Towing from South Gate within 45 minutes the flatbed was there and I am on my way to my Mechanic in Orange from Downey! It is now 4:15 pm I called at 11:50 am it took almost 5 hours and I had no pain medicine and still had to go to the pharmacy to get antibiotics (remember severe infection in my molar) I am not done with AAA and AM PM Towing! You may see this on the 6:00 news as an investigation piece AM PM is a very large company with several offices all over including the high desert! No one should have that much of a monopoly give bad service and have no consequences! What we pay for this service is awful! I rarely use this because I have newer cars! This caught me off guard. I will be changing to State Farm, I'm done! My only part of this is that I should have not called his bluff and used a very harsh word but a true one! read more

I had a terrible experience with their customer service. When my car broke down on the street with my kids in the car, the woman I spoke to on the phone was unhelpful and rude. I ended up waiting almost two hours due to her lack of communication or her sour attitude read more

I've been waiting for a call back from the manager for over 2 weeks. I keep getting the run around from the same lady every time I call. My car was damaged by the technician from this company that was sent out on behalf of AAA & now AM/PM is avoiding my calls like the plague. read more

This place was a complete disaster!!! Would not recommend this tow company unless you want your car damaged by inadequate workers!Damaged my brand new car that I had only had for 4 whole days! Oh, how I long to give them -'s. If AAA ever sends them to assist you, please, for your own sanity, request someone else or be prepared to wait until the clock strikes midnight before you see the light of home again. Stella, the dispatcher, was hands down the rudest person I've ever had the misfortune to interact with. Picture this: I broke down at 3:30 PM, only to be told that help wouldn't arrive until a torturous 8:30 PM! Then, the clock ticked on, and I received an update that help would arrive at a heart-wrenching 10:56 PM! It's bad enough to be stranded, but having to face the stonewalling incompetence of these people transforms an already dreadful day into a relentless cycle of frustration and despair! read more
