Putting this on Yelp since they keep deleting my Google review! Worst pharmacy experience I've had. Not only was I overcharged on TWO medications initially, but after the issue was supposedly corrected and I received a credit, I attempted to purchase additional medication and was charged the full amount again -- which caused my card to decline because the credit had not been properly applied. They then had to manually fix it in-store so I could pay. You would think that would be the end of it. Wrong. After my purchase had already gone through, they charged my card an additional $576. When I called to ask why, I was told it was a "prior authorization hold like when you pay for gas." That explanation made absolutely no sense considering the transaction had already been completed and paid for. If the payment processed correctly, why was there still a massive hold on my card? What made the situation worse was how dismissive the staff member was when explaining it, as if hundreds of dollars being tied up on someone's account is not a big deal. The overall communication and organization in this pharmacy is terrible. Nobody seems to know what the other person is doing, which is concerning considering they are handling people's medications. I also always prepay before pickup, yet almost every time I come in, I'm asked to pay again because their system apparently does not properly reflect prior payments. The experience has been stressful, unorganized, and financially frustrating. I would strongly recommend going to another pharmacy, especially if you are dealing with specialty or time-sensitive medications. read more

Quick and cheap, if you need cheaper meds meaning medication (not of generic brands) this place will deliver within the same day or if you need it sooner, schedule to pick it up. This are fast and incredibly friendly. If you don't have insurance don't be afraid to ask because you'll be surprised if you can get it cheaper here. I am so happy so far with my prescription delivery from Alto. I had never heard of this pharmacy until my endocrinologist mentioned their name to me and they are truly a gem! From working on the back end to get my prior authorizations approved, to delivering my prescriptions on time, they have made my life so much easier. Not to mention, their prices actually beat chain pharmacies for some of my medications! I have had a great experience with Alto Pharmacy in the past, but I was living within in their delivery area at the time. When I moved outside their delivery area they had to send my meds by mail. I left delivery instructions on my account as asked by Alto, but they never passed on the information to the courier they used to delivery my meds. So I didn't get my very specifically timed medication when I was supposed to. It was over the weekend so FedEx had my meds at their closed location with delivery Monday and Alto gave some not so timely advice on setting up a profile with FedEx so they could have the instructions as well. Which would have been wonderful had I been told at the time they decided to use FedEx to deliver my meds. I had a back up plan, but in the end it was more stressful than what it's worth. read more

Very disappointed. Alto had me frantically running up and down my suburban neighborhood knocking on doors to identify where they had delivered my daughter's insulin prescription. This is on top of them having to search much of the city of Houston for an insulin-related product they initially said was in their inventory and ready to be delivered. My daughter is 12 years old and is a diabetic. Receiving insulin is vital for her to remain healthy. I must be vigilant to ensure my daughter has her medication needs met, and I must work with a pharmacy that takes her care as seriously as I do. I haven't been with them long but I'm blown away by their service. 1. I received a prescription from my doc to another pharmacy 3 months ago. That pharmacy kept telling me it would be ready in 2 days. However, 2 days later it would be ready in 2 days. Even if I looked at "find it at another of our stores" they all would have it in 2 days. I talked to the pharmacist who told me it would be ready in 2-3 days. The bottom line is that in 9 weeks they never got it. I called the manufacturer who assured me there was no shortage. I switched to Alto and had it in 2 weeks...and at less than $40 when the other pharmacy was going to charge me around $150...with the same insurance. 2. Alto goes the extra mile and looks all over for discounts and coupons to save me money. In the first 2 weeks with them I've saved around $200. 3. Their app told me when my delivery was on the way. It was precisely correct. I could follow their truck on the map and when it showed it was at the end of my street, I saw a car turn toward me. It was them. 4. Their delivery lady mentioned me by name and thanked me for being an Alto customer. I anticipate being a long-time Alto customer and will be moving our entire family to them. read more

My physician recommended Alto Pharmacy to fill a very expensive prescription. I found working with Alto Pharmacy to be a pleasant experience. From the time my Rx hits Alto to the time it is delivered is seamless and filled with helpful communication from them. For example, my Rx was sent to them at 11 A.M Friday. They immediately texted me to tell me it was in house. By 1 P.M. I knew the price and could easily schedule same day free delivery on the app. I received real time delivery texts. I'm not within the same day service area so it's delivered via FedEx and I haven't had a problem yet. Communication is done via text and through the app so that is convenient for me. I need to ensure that my husband's prescription is delivered either a day earlier or the first delivery time of the day. The last two deliveries were made after the scheduled time for when he takes this medication. This is not going to work. Plus today's delivery was 52 minutes after the 6-9 PM, arriving at 9:52 PM. My husband goes to bed early. Thus another reason we need an earlier time slot. Appreciate the company going to bat with the insurance company to get the approval for this prescribed medication. We had our first prescription delivery tonight. The driver was backing out of the driveway...having not delivered the meds...my husband ran outside to make sure he didn't leave. Not ideal with Covid. The driver said he couldn't find the house even though it is very clearly marked and I even put more details on my account saying it's on the culdesac. I just recently switched over to Alto Pharmacy. It is so great to have all of my prescriptions delivered to me any time and anywhere I choose. Also they are very easy to communicate with in private messages in their app. I could never get anyone to answer at another pharmacy, and I would have to drive over only to find out they did not have my prescription. I have also found that there are one or two prescriptions that are a bit cheaper than a well known retailer. How that can be, I don't know. I just know I made the right switch. read more

FOVE STARS! ***** By this time in my IVF experience, I've felt with pharmacies and pharmacists all over the world: Houston, Mexico, UK, And Turkey. Alto was the first online delivery service and intimidating at first but so rewarding and pleasant. Not only did they fill and confirm delivery of a prescription within under 45 minutes, they had it delivered within 2 hours! With IVF timing is everything and they're very sensitive to that. Their app isn't perfect but it's helpful and encompassing for a free platform. They have a number to call for help and the representatives were very patient and understanding. All 3 times I've called, I got people who I felt were sympathetic to my situation and listened to what I needed. I would recommend this anyone, especially my IVF warriors! This company is killing it! I've used them numerous times and they've come through every single time. Their customer experience far outweighs any other pharmacy I've dealt with and they seem to care about the patient, unlike all the other big companies. Most recently, I needed a 24 hr rush order on a medication because CVS Caremark couldn't fulfill my order, so I reached out to Alto. They told me they'd text me if they were able to do it. Within an hour, I got a text from one of their reps saying they would be able to rush it and I got the med the next day without any issues. Their portal is also super easy to use. This is the second prescription delivered and both experiences were awful. After 10pm no sense of urgency and nothing said after being late. If this medication didn't need Refrigeration I would have went to bed and left outside. ALWAYS require a signature!!! The first delivery was worse than the second, the delivery driver parked at the end on my driveway directly in front my home and proceeded to walk the entire cul de sac looking for my home. You can't make this up. I had to go outside in my robe to yell for this woman to come back. When she came back she was on the phone and refuse to get off and told me she had to take a picture. I left her standing there and went back inside since she refuse to hand over the delivery. Please find delivery personnel that is more professional and take their job a bit more seriously. I am very unhappy with alto lately. The delivery guy was rude and yelling at me last night on the phone because my address was not visible and "why didn't I have my address in the front" (this is the first time this has happened with alto usually they have no problem and it's an easy transaction been using them for a year). Now, I have a prescription that was suppose to be delivered yesterday with the others, it was not, I checked last night it said it would be delivered today and now check again it now says Saturday. I did not receive a call at all to tell me they are moving my delivery, what if I needed that medication! Very unhappy and disappointed. read more

I received a phone call this morning from customer service. Amanda called me this morning about my prescription being delayed. When I attempted to get an understanding as to why my prescription could not be delivered today even though Alto had already confirmed delivery days prior, she became defensive, kept talking over me, and attempted to school me in how business and pharmacy works. She attempted to tell me that they were short of the medication, did not have it in stock and that it was on back order. When I asked why I am just getting notified the day of delivery when delivery had been confirmed by Alto days prior, she then told me that I could actually pick it up from the pharmacy. At this point, I was confused because she had just told me that they were out of stock. So I tried to clarify but she would not give me a straight answer. I told her that I was not willing to go to the pharmacy as I currently have covid and is not yet outside of the 5 day quarantine period. Her response is "sir, I have had covid three times." Her getting covid three times has nothing to do with the situation and was irrelevant to the conversation and it sounded condescending as if her having covid three times somewhat makes it okay for me to leave quarantine and possibly expose others. How it sounds to me is that the company is short on resources because they fired a bunch of their staff so the order could not be filled today and/delivered since it sounds like the medication is available for pick up (as I was told by Amanda). But instead, I got a run around from Amanda who talked over me when I was trying to be patient, nice, and was generally trying to be understanding. Had she just said "we don't have the resources to deliver your prescription right now, I would have been more understanding," but she was rude and defensive and clearly lacks communication and customer service skills. It would be appreciated if instead of lying to their customers and telling us that they do not have the medication (but is available for pick up- yeah doesn't make sense, does it), instead tell us that they do not have the manpower to make the delivery or fill the order. Honesty goes a long way. And train their customer service a lot better. Definitely looking for a different pharmacy. read more
