So whatever, false advertising then. This is the Walgreens along Braeswood, which is a peaceful and quiet part of town which feels quite suburban. You usually find cops patrolling through this massive Plaza at night so be careful if you don't want to see cops. It's open later than most of the other stores and used to be 24 hours. We got what we needed although it was expensive, so I guess we're grateful for that much. read more

On 8/18 @18:00 I went to Walgreens #00553 (5300 N Braeswood in Houston, TX) I wish I could multiple negative stars. I had gotten my passport photo taken at this location on 7/20 with a 95% guarantee by the photographer that it would not be rejected. This was my second photo that was rejected by passport agency. I had to send in both photos to passport agency since first photo was not received. I showed manager Chris my photo documentation with passport photo + receipt as well as documentation from passport agency that it was rejected for blurry, pixelated photo. I went to Walgreens and spoke to Chris manager and they would not issue refund bc I did not have a physical photo copy even though it would be destroyed anyway. I showed all my photographic documentation and still was not issued refund of overpriced $16.99 + tax. I was told to call customer service to obtain refund when phone number is not even available on receipt. There was no offer to retake passport photo or remedy this failed service in any way. Worst customer service and has delayed my passport renewal already a month + wasting time obtaining and sending new photos. I have already paid for expedited passport processing to see aging relatives and this has already ruined this planned overseas trip. I recommend Walgreens retrain their managers and employees in customer service as well as passport photography processing. I sent inquiries via instagram message and Walgreens website how to obtain refund with no response. Please advise how to obtain refund of $18.39 for passport photos that failed service. Terrible customer service. Wish I can give them nothing. Trying to return some Walgreens brand products. One is defected and the other one has never been opened. They claimed that the return period is within 30 days. Heh if you look closer to any package, it says "money back guaranteed". I didn't see anything that says you must return product within 30 days for any money back guaranteed". Smh. Walgreens is worse than CVS. I had similar situation like this but CVS would honor the return after talking to their corporate office. TERRIBLE PHARMACY!!! I have to agree with a the reviewers here. This pharmacy is the worst. I have had a few ups and down, but that last nail in the coffin was when waited 20 min to get my prescription fill in the drive thru AND I WAS THE ONLY ONE!!! The did not say, "sorry for taking so long" or issues any kind of acknowledgement that I waited. I also saw people in the walk up who were also waiting the entire time I was there so I know it is inside and out. This place is a serious black hole of efficiency. Ordered for curbside pick up. Got email there was a delay and to call store if I wanted to cancel. The number the email provided was the pharmacy number. I found out after rudely being told that and then transferred. Explained situation, kept on hold 10 minutes to hear they were out of stock. Took my name and said they would pass message to manager to cancel order. Will never order from a Walgreens again. Just hoping order does get cancelled. Back to HEB! read more

Literally they hire theives! My bf went in to get change for a $100 and the cashier only gave him $80. Upon realizing he quickly turned around and went back in the store where she claimed she had given him the correct change. He then asked her to count her register. While she's counting, the manager walks up and LIES and says she gave him back 5 bills according to the camera. He says are you sure about this. That's when the cashier says oh no I'm sorry the 20 was folded in the drawer, heres your money. .... at a time like the virus being out it has turned these people into THIEVESSSSS!!!! The asian man behind the counter wasted about 10 minutes of my time before telling me he refused to do business with me because I live 20 minutes down the road. This is Houston! I consistently have a poor experience here. The staff seems unorganized and a bit aloof. There is no sense of urgency or compassion. Something that should take 5 minutes takes 45 minutes. I only use this Walgreens when there's absolutely no other option, such as during holidays or after hours when others are closed and I desperately need a med. They don't check their messages, so doctors' call-in prescription orders are not filled. They also lie about it when you ask, even when there is proof (such as record of doctors phone call, record of fax sent and successfully received). This place discriminates the Latino Community I went to buy cigarettes and and they ID me which is ok but they denied my purchase because I did not have a Texas ID. I only had a Mexican consulate issued ID card. This pharmacy gets worse and worse everyday. I have been coming here for years and every year they get slower and more rude. Today I called to see if my prescription was ready which it wasn't, both ladies were rude, they don't want to listen to anything you have to say they just want to hurry up and get off the the phone. Spoke to a manager on the phone just as rude as the other pharmacy lady who answered the phone. She did they same thing talking over me, I couldn't even complete a sentence before she rudely interrupted and started talking again. I have had enough, I am tired of being treated like this. I have been coming here every month for 7+ years now and I no longer will be shopping at this location for-sure maybe even Walgreens all together and make the switch over. Worst pharmacy ever!!! Been a week since my prescription was called in and still haven't filled it. Then I'm told that they had some but someone else got it because they had been waiting longer. Completely unacceptable to not keep customers in the loop about their medications and to keep them waiting long periods of time when they are trying to get their medications. They could try and refer me to somewhere else, but that takes too much effort and they tell me it would take longer. No big deal, it could just be a life or death situation for some, but by all means please take your time getting it filled. No wonder my insurance doesn't want me to use walgreens. read more

Went there for my flu shot. I verified with my insurance company prior to going that i was 100 %covered. Then I scheduled an appointment online (per their appointment system). Get there - the horrible, rude male technician said "oh that doesn't work and we don't ever use it - referring to the appointment system. Then they never could get my insurance verified - long story short - it turns out their software was not updated correctly. After two visits, 3 calls to insurance - BCBS told me just to go to Krogers - which I did. I was in and out in 10 minutes! I will be moving all my prescriptions to them! Just a disaster. Prescriptions that don't ever get filled. Autodialing/filling prescriptions you never ask for. Completely hit and miss on whether the person checking you out at the counter has any clue about what they are doing. Phone calls that go into a queue just so you can get dropped when it's your turn to talk with someone. Rejected prescriptions get no follow-up. The list goes on.
